Brian is such a great attorney and guy. The amount of time and effort he spent on me I honestly felt like I owe him more money! After going bankrupt I really didn't have it but I hope this review can bring him more customers. I shopped around, his rate is very reasonable and the value is best you'll find. My bankruptcy has finally discharged well over a year later and he has still made himself available to me. When you call, he answers the phone, not a secretary and he knows who you are. Compassionate and insightful are the two words that come to mind when describing our interactions with Michael Dwyer. My ex-husband and I had been trying for months to reach a divorce agreement to no avail. Someone recommended Michael Dwyer. Michael, within an hour or so of talking to us, was able to recognize what was holding each of us back. He worked with us, separately and together, helping us reach an agreement very speedily; one that worked for both of us. He also went out of his way to make sure that the divorce paperwork was filed before he left on vacation.

At the beginning of this year I was granted a divorce by default. In the divorce there was a question of paternity, hence the reason for a default judgment because my ex wife refused to respond or acknowledge that she received the documents. We tried to serve her several times at multiple addresses but to no avail. A few months later I received child support papers in the mail and realized why she didn't respond and that was because my divorce attorney did not specify the child was not mine. I panicked and went to child support enforcement and explained what was going on and was recommended to retain an attorney. I went to a few different consultations. Finally I consulted with Laura's legal team and it felt like someone was actually listening to me.
Laura began working on my case immediately and was able to correct my former attorney's mistake and mistakes I made along the way. Laura took the time to properly represent me in the administrative hearing. The case was dismissed. Prior to this experience I didn't think an attorney like her existed. Most only listen to the dollars they will be taking from you and don't care about the impact it will have on your life. Thank you Laura for your help, expertise attention to detail and for caring about the outcome of the case.

I had a complicated personal injury claim due to an auto accident. The injury required a surgery which I had to postpone due to pregnancy. The other insurance agency was not so understanding of the delay, however, Sarah made me feel incredibly comfortable regarding the entire process. During the settlement, I happened to be involved in yet another auto accident with an uninsured driver. Sarah happily assisted me with this claim as well. Both settlements were resolved due to Sarah's knowledge of the system and persistence with the agencies involved. I hope to never be involved in an accident again, but if I am, Sarah will be the first person I turn to!

Shea was super knowledgeable, answering all my questions in detail. I have a complicated case which seemed very confusing to me but he laid it all out on my next steps. Unfortunately, the business I have to conduct is in a different state than where he practices so he gave me the name of an attorney that can further address my issues. Attorney Jo Posey was recommended to me when my wife decided to file for divorce. I am very glad to have her as my advocate. Attorney Posey thoroughly explained the potential paths my divorce could take, and was realistic of how it would turn out. At the same time she was caring and sensitive to my thoughts and emotions, listening intently to everything I needed to say whether is was grieving the end of my marriage or going through the different specifics of my case.
Jo has extensive experience with divorce cases and it shows in how she handled my case. She accurately knew what would be a reasonable and fair settlement, so she was able to direct everything toward that end, saving me a lot of money. She also knew potential pitfalls and ways the other attorney could game the proceedings, and so she proactively made sure to protect me from those tactics.
While divorces can be very costly, Jo was extremely efficient with her time -- be it writing documents, making phone calls, or discussing my case with me -- which made sure that my divorce didn't cost any more than it needed to. When it came time to call around for divorce attorneys, they all had a relatively common refrain: essentially, "abandon all hope and resign yourself to eternal suffering--you're ****ed."
With the notable exception of Jessy from Hotley Law!
When Jessy returned my call, she came PREPARED. Wantedall the details, listened extremely attentively, and laid out what the legal strategy, costs, benefits, etc were in proceeding.

Michael went above and beyond, every time. He always kept me grounded by being honest, and gave me the strength to keep going. He’s kind and thoughtful of everyone who is involved. I had five months of sheer ringaround with this guy. In early September he said he'd take my case on contingency. In October he said he was busy with trial. In November he said he'd draft a demand letter to the school district. In December he ignored me completely. I chased him for months trying to get the draft he promised. He failed to respond for weeks, sometimes he didn't respond at all, he failed to meet every one of his own deadlines, and never produced the demand letter or any other work product. His communication was abhorrent. His responses were abysmally slow. I finally gave up on him in late December knowing I wasn't going to get anywhere with him. I stopped communicating with him entirely, stopped trying to get him to produce the demand letter, and sought another course of action. In late January, I receive a demand from him for a $2,500 retainer. I've never had a more bizarre experience or met a lawyer who doesn't lawyer. I filed a complaint with the Oregon Bar Association because I believe he violated several rules of professional conduct. He claims he never took me on contingency and I was never his client. Wait, what? I now see this is a page from his playbook by reading other reviews.

David provided me with the knowledge and advice I needed to successfully navigate my divorce. His assistant Tarrah was fantastic to work with as well. I was charged a reasonable fee to prepare, edit and file all of the documentation. Meetings via Zoom were set up in a timely fashion and my questions and concerns were answered promptly. Although this was a difficult experience, I believe David helped to make it as smooth as possible for me. I would highly recommend hiring David if the need arises.

David I Bean has helped me with renewing my Restraining Order against my aggressive and dishonest ex during COVID-19.
David takes my case seriously. He approached me and try to sort out my issues although he could ask his assistant to do intake on behalf of him and let me have a longer wait. However he didn't.
David let me have time and space so that I can bring the most useful resources related to the issues. He listens very well.
David can react to a new situation and transition it smoothly. We went to the Court for a in-person hearing, but it turned out to be a phone hearing. David was able to fast response how to deliver certain tasks to proper person/Judge to get things going seamlessly.
David cares about community. He donates his time and knowledge and help me to become a better person.
In a word, David is a lawyer with good heart. It was a great experience to learn from this excellent human being, Lawyer David I Bean.

I found Tanzosh Family Law after multiple calls to other attorney's in the area. Brenna was personable, answered my questions, and was very sympathetic and understanding during my consultation (divorce - mostly amicable). Her billing was accurate in time devoted to my case and I never felt she 'added on or made things longer' than they needed to be. Very fair in price and represented me very well. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance in Family Law.

Brenna & Michael took my case a couple of years ago and it was complicated, and at the time very emotional with the circumstances and challenges. They got me in the right mental frame of mind with their support. Then we meticulously went through our options, and devised a plan. We reached a settlement that was fair and equitable for both sides which is all I could have asked. It didn’t get messy because Brenna & Michael were empathetic to the factors in our case. He is not well informed. He is very scattered. Does not keep you informed. I had to call him for updates. It took him 11 months and 29 days to file the law suite. On the day the trial was to start (I mean minutes before, we were in the court room) he brought an offer from the other party. He later said he had the offer for about a week I had no time to even think about settling out of court,

Not sure whether or not he is currently even licensed to practice, but from my brief experience with him all the character traits mentioned in the previous reviews are still accurate. Overall I would describe him as one who demonstrates typical drug addict behaviors. Beware or better yet stay away. My experience definitely reinforces to me the importance of researching someone before consulting. Wish I had read these reviews sooner. But at least I found them as soon as his suspicious behaviors raised red flags. Thanks Avvo!

Talked to him before hiring him, seems like a great lawyer with alot of knowledge so I decided to hire him.. after i had paid him alot of money there was less and less communication, eventually he texted me and said he would have to drop my case due to much work with other clients, he was apologetic and said we could meet so he could give me cashiers check to refund back money since he was dropping my case.. day off meeting came and he texted with an excuse why he couldn't meet and reschuled another meeting, day of second meeting was another excuse and reschedule, he never showed up for the third meeting and never returned any of my phone calls after that... I see that he is currently suspend but If that ever gets lifted I don't recommend him I lost roughly $8,000-9,000 with him (all this was about 2 years ago so don't remember exact ammount, just recently thinking about it again and figured I'd atleast leave a reveiw so people don't make the same mistake I did by hiring him)

I hired Michal as an LSAT tutor as I am a prospective Law Student. I left him a deposit for the classes, tutored with him for some time and then I never heard from him again. He took off with some of my money and did not refund or provide me with additional classes or even an explanation. I did everything to get a hold of him, including sending a certified letter, but it seems he is in the wind or dead. I have contacted the Oregon state bar regarding his behavior. I am very disappointed and even though I am extremely upset about the situation I hope he is not injured or dead. Michael if you see this, you know who I am please contact me and return my money. I work 2 jobs just to pay for tutoring and you took off with my money.

My ex and I were told we needed to use Ricks to split our retirement funds. From the start Ricks was nothing but rude and condescending to us, he had account numbers incorrect and lied about information that was given to him that he said he never received (we had emails to back it up). He has no idea what he is doing. The financial institutes that we had funds in had worked with him before and they used the word incompetent and rude. DO NOT use this man for anything unless you love to be treated poorly and love frustration and wasting money.

when hired i was told 30 to 45 days, when i called after 45 days the paper work hadnt even been submitted and it would be another 30 to 45 days when i asked for a discount he said no that it just slipped through the cracks, WOW thats competance and fair huh, someone dosent do his job right according to a contract and he refuses to compensate NICE. Sorry dan but this was supposed to be quick and simple and you turned it into a pain, my opinion is go to someone more competent
