Brenda and her team are unparalleled in their knowledge and understanding of the laws and their ability to get results in an ethical manner, despite a difficult situation. Furthermore, the ability to listen to the client and empathize while providing reality based guidance was outstanding. As a bonus, the costs were reasonable. I would highly recommend Brenda.

At the end of a successful Collaborative outcome, reflecting back on the process, it is clear that Brenda and her team's experience was a significant factor in the positive result. From the Zoom call during the hiring process where it was made clear what the Collaborative process was about and the factors that lead to success, to the patience required in the final stages, I couldn't have been more happy with her representation. The team is very detailed with their information exchange and the expectations in the process. Brenda was always available with a prompt reply or a needed call. Her ability to "hear" what might be an emotional sticking point, but to also not let a minor issue sabotage an otherwise successful process, is important! The success in this being coordinated entirely remote, brings another means of simplifying a difficult time any couples life. If you are looking for the best representation, from one of the most experienced teams in Collaborative, at a very reasonable price, you need not look any further.

I was looking for a lawyer that could help settle my divorce without having to go through all the headaches that you hear others have endured. Brenda London was referred to me and I'm so thankful I contacted her. We had our first meeting not long after I had called her office. She really listened to what I wanted and was sensitive to my needs. Papers were filed and we were able to settle quickly and efficiently. Diana followed through and had my final divorce papers signed in a vey timely manner. Her paralegal Diana was of great assistance as well. I am very satisfied with my results and would highly recommend hiring Brenda London to anyone that is in need.

Wendy and her team were extremely helpful throughout the entirety of my divorce. She helped navigate many of the sticky situations that arose and was able to reassume me of my rights as the father and the boundaries the law provides. I would highly recommend Wendy to others going through divorce.

I was in the process of purchasing a house and they were something that was hurting my credit. Some of these items that were hurting my credit are: Affirm (30 days late 3/2023), Affirm (30 days late 4/2023), First Premier (scheduled to be removed 3/2024), Rent Recovery (Paid Collection) Never received prior notification of a debt. I asked this community because you guys are awesome with your advice, and I have been successful. A guy named David from this community spoke well about a credit expert called PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST who helped him remove medical bills and raised his score to 780 in a few days. Coffman Family Law took a stressful situation and supported me through the process with good information and knowledge of the law. Josh Coffman is both professional and extremely personal and compassionate in how he deals with clients and his support staff reflect his approach. They are timely, responsive and communicative. Working with Josh and team, we were able to successfully navigate a difficult case that resulted in a fair mediated settlement and Josh took every step to insure it was handled most efficiently and at the lowest cost in fees possible. I can't recommend Coffman Famlily Law highly enough and would willing refer them to family and friends.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jill Schwartz & Associates, P.A. and I can't recommend them highly enough. Jill and John were both phenomenal to work with. From the moment I called their office, I was greeted with professionalism and genuine care for my situation. The amount of empathy and concern was not only evident but heartwarming. This type of care is truly rare in not only todays society, but more so in attorneys. I can say that because I am one. I am an attorney who needed an attorney and Jill & John were truly there for me every step of the way. I felt supported throughout the entire process, which made an extremely challenging time much easier to navigate. What truly stood out was their commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. They went above and beyond, demonstrating not only their legal skills but also their dedication to their clients. I felt like more than just a case number; they truly valued my needs and concerns. I was extremely impressed with Mrs. Collins mediation skills. She was very professional and understanding. She did an amazing job representing both sides and bringing us to an agreement fairly quickly. She is very likable and very easy to work with. She made me feel very at ease even under the stressful circumstances. She did a great job mediating and would definitely use her again for any of our HOA mediation needs.

Having remarried after the death of my first wife and moving to Florida from out of state eighteen months ago, I required changes to my family trust, will, and other important documents. My previous attorney of many years recommended two local attorneys in Central Florida, one of which was Flammia Elder Law Firm. After contacting Flammia, I scheduled an appointment to discuss changes to my documents and determine if their firm was a good fit for me. Before our first meeting, Flammia forwarded documents to me to aid them in helping me and to make our first meeting more efficient, effective, and productive. At our first meeting, I was introduced to Stacey Schwartz, a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law Attorney, and a Firm associate. Our first appointment was very productive. Stacy was helpful, a good listener, and addressed many of my concerns. She also outlined Florida law as it applied to my situation and what I wanted to accomplish. After our first meeting, I decided to work with Flammia Elder Law Firm and have Stacy Schwartz represent me. We have since had about three sessions. Stacy was also available to clarify issues in telephone calls, too. I am very satisfied with the work completed by the Flammia Elder Law Firm and Stacy Schwartz. The fees I paid were aligned with my expectations and not unreasonable. I believe I paid for quality work and received what I paid for. There is a high level of satisfaction and personal comfort knowing that my family's trust, will, and other documents are updated.

When I was looking for an attorney I came across Mr. Fetter, as I was reading his reviews the word “godsend” was used a lot to describe him… I can say after having worked with Mr. Fetter (or Mr. Fetter working on my case) that his work is nothing short of the word.. I was blessed to have had him on my case and I can ensure you’d feel the same way if in the need of a great attorney.

I'm writing as Caroline Manfredi. I wish I could give Mr Fetter 100 stars. Don't go anywhere else. His expertise and personal commitment to his clients cannot be matched. This is the second time I have had the honor of having him as my attorney and once again as always he came through for me. He is a man of his word and will not disappoint.

I have contacted this firm 3 times in the last 3 weeks trying to find a new attorney to handle both estate planning and new business formation/ structure advice. I have no idea if he is a good attorney or not because NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!!! I would have to be a fool to keep calling and begging them to get back to me. They must have enough business- likely more than they can handle if they can’t even return my call. If this is any indication of how they treat their clients, I wouldn’t want them to represent me anyway!

Tristan, Silvia and Chari are wonderful, kindhearted people. They really helped me get through the most challenging time in my life with as much ease as possible. Normally, it is like fighting tooth and nail to get through to a lawyer, to be heard, to receive a response, to understand. This was NEVER the case with the Sanders Firm. Tristan is very knowledgeable and he always made sure I understood what was going on step by step. Their responses are almost immediate and they really care for their clients because it showed. I would highly recommend their services. Thank you so much for everything!!!

His prefomance in court was horrible. He showed up to court completely unprepared. Then stuttered constantly while shuffling through his papers over and over again, didn't present any of the evidence well, didn't ask for anything that was previously discussed with the client, repeatedly asked the client the same pointless questions on stand, didn't fight for his client, and the list goes on. The GM kept scolding him, telling him he should know better. Just all around very disappointed seeing him in action. 0/10 would not recommend.

$10,500 later and all I got was the talking parents app. He talked me into an emergency motion. Which cost me an additional $5500. Didn’t fight for me. Left me on the stand for 3 hrs. And got me no where with the reason I hired him. $10,500. He will take money and not preform. Wasted my time and my money. What a shame of an attorney he is. I can’t believe someone would even have the nerve to blow through my money on something I didn’t hire him for

I paid for legal insurance through my employer. I called my legal insurance plan and was given this firm as a reference to have my Living Will and Last Will redone. I literally just needed to have a couple of things changed/updated from my previous Wills. Every time I reached out, I would have to follow up NUMEROUS times to get any response. My legal plan covered me and my dependents to have our Wills done and a Trust set up at no cost to me. I provided my previous Wills and other legal documentation along with notes on what needed to be changed. My legal insurance began April 1, 2023. I didn't get an appointment to sign the Wills they drew up until May 23, 2023. This was not because what I wanted was complicated but because their response time was one level above non-responsive. I asked constantly for them to email me the Wills to review BEFORE I came in so that changes could be made ahead of time. I had an 11:00am appointment and they sent me over the paperwork to review only an hour before my appointment. I sat in their office trying to review all 116 pages as fast as I could. I was there for almost 2 hours and sent numerous changes via email before signing. However, there were items on my original Will that needed to be included that were left out. I also emailed changes that were never done. I made the mistake of signing everything without FULLY reviewing one last time but I had already been there for several hours and was on a time crunch at that point. Later that night when I was scanning them into my computer, I noticed the items that had never been changed or included from my original Will. I emailed them and after having to follow up on my emails several times, they want to charge me for the changes. Even 3 weeks now after signing, they STILL haven't given me pricing on what it would be. I am so disappointed in this firm. I feel like I could go to law school and become an attorney myself before getting something as simple as a correct Will fully executed by them.

What a Mediation Lawyer Can Do for You

A mediation lawyer specializes in resolving disputes outside of the courtroom through a process called mediation. Mediation involves a neutral third-party mediator who helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation lawyers can represent clients in various matters, including divorce, business disputes, employment conflicts, contract issues, personal injury claims, and more.

Unlike litigation, mediation is a less adversarial and more cost-effective way to settle disputes, often leading to faster resolutions and preserving relationships between the parties involved.

When Should I Hire a Mediation Lawyer?

Consider hiring a mediation lawyer when you’re involved in a dispute and want to avoid the time, expense, and stress of going to court. Common reasons to hire a mediation lawyer include:

  • Divorce or child custody disputes: A mediation lawyer can help you reach a fair settlement on issues like property division, alimony, and parenting arrangements without going to court.
  • Business or contract disputes: For disagreements such as contract disputes, partnership conflicts, or intellectual property issues, a mediation lawyer can assist in resolving the matter through negotiation.
  • Employment disputes: Issues like wrongful termination, discrimination, or wage disputes can be addressed through mediation to find common ground and avoid lawsuits.
  • Personal injury cases: Mediation can help both parties agree on compensation in cases like car accidents or slip-and-fall claims without a prolonged court battle.
  • Property disputes: Disputes over property ownership, landlord-tenant issues, or boundary disagreements can be settled more amicably through mediation.
  • Family or inheritance disputes: Mediation can help resolve conflicts over wills or trusts without further dividing the family.

What Does a Mediation Lawyer Do?

A mediation lawyer provides a range of services to help clients resolve disputes through negotiation and mutual agreement. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Representing your interests: Acting as your advocate during mediation to ensure your rights are protected and you understand your legal options.
  • Preparing for mediation: Reviewing the facts of the case, gathering necessary documents, and advising you on potential resolutions.
  • Facilitating communication: Helping to facilitate open and constructive dialogue between parties to clarify points of contention.
  • Negotiating settlements: Assisting in negotiating fair and balanced settlement terms that are in your best interest.
  • Drafting mediation agreements: Preparing the official mediation agreement that outlines the terms of the settlement, which is often legally binding.
  • Avoiding litigation: Aiming to reach a settlement that eliminates the need for a court trial, saving time and resources for both parties.
  • Handling complex legal issues: Explaining the legal implications of various settlement terms in cases with complicated legal matters.

How Are Mediation Lawyers Paid?

Mediation lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the time involved. Common payment methods include:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee ranging from $150 to $500 or more, depending on experience and case complexity.
  • Flat fee: For simpler mediations, some lawyers may offer a flat fee covering all legal work involved in the process.
  • Retainer: In ongoing or complex cases, a retainer may be required as an upfront payment billed against as work progresses.

Discuss fees and payment structures with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the cost of mediation services.

How Much Does a Mediation Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a mediation lawyer depends on several factors, including the case's complexity, the lawyer’s experience, and the time required to resolve the dispute. General cost estimates include:

  • Hourly rates: Typically between $150 and $500 per hour.
  • Flat fees: For simple mediations, fees may range from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • Total mediation costs: Can vary widely, from $2,000 to $10,000 for straightforward cases, up to $10,000 to $50,000 or more for complex disputes.

Always request a detailed cost estimate during your consultation to understand total expenses.

Top Questions to Ask a Mediation Lawyer

Before hiring a mediation lawyer, consider asking the following questions:

  1. What experience do you have with mediation cases like mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in handling similar disputes.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify the fee structure and request an estimate based on your specific case.
  3. What is the likelihood of resolving my case through mediation?
Seek an honest assessment of whether mediation is suitable for your situation.
  4. How long will the mediation process take?
Inquire about the expected timeline and number of sessions required.
  5. Will you personally handle my case?
Confirm who will manage your mediation and represent your interests.
  6. Can we pursue alternative dispute resolution (ADR) if necessary?
Ask about other forms of ADR, such as arbitration, if mediation doesn't resolve the conflict.

How to Check the Credibility of a Mediation Lawyer

To ensure you're hiring a reputable mediation lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Verify their bar status: Confirm with your state bar association that the lawyer is licensed and has no disciplinary history.
  • Look for mediation experience: Review their website or professional profile for specialization in mediation and successful case histories.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Check platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google for client feedback.
  • Ask for references: Request references from past clients familiar with their mediation skills.
  • Check for certifications: Look for certifications from organizations like the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR).

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To maximize the effectiveness of your initial meeting, bring the following:

  • Relevant documents: Any materials related to the dispute, such as contracts, emails, financial records, or court filings.
  • List of key issues: A detailed list of the main points of contention that need resolution.
  • Timeline of events: A chronological account of events leading up to the dispute, including prior resolution attempts.
  • Goals for the mediation: Be prepared to discuss your desired outcomes and areas where you're willing to compromise.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Any queries about the mediation process, fees, or their approach to dispute resolution.

Being well-prepared will help the lawyer assess your case effectively and provide the best possible advice for resolving your dispute through mediation.
