A friend recommended I reach out to Jon, because my insurance company wasn’t returning my calls and I was starting to panic. Jon patiently listened to my situation, made several extremely helpful suggestions and confirmed a few things I’d heard from other attorneys. After a 20 year marriage, my ex-husband and I used Ty Supancic as our mediator. He explained our options clearly and patiently. He promptly answered all emails and phone calls. Even though I went into my divorce thinking it would be a "walk in the park", there were many important things (sale of family home, spousal support, medical insurance) that I needed to understand more realistically and less emotionally. I was referred to The Law Collaborative (TLC) by a colleague. I grew even more interested in working with the firm when I learned its mission is to help clients pursue the most peaceful and cost-effective solutions for separation, divorce, and nullity matters. TLC promotes negotiation and mediation over expensive court battles. I support this approach to navigating the emotionally difficult seas of family law, and wanted to be able to rely upon the skills of the attorneys at TLC to help manage the hostility I expected to face as I made public the facts about my ex-husband. From the first time I met Ty Supancic I was impressed by his intelligence, honesty, kindness, and good-natured personality. After we discussed and evaluated my options, I chose to pursue a nullity. A divorce would have been an easier and cheaper route for me to take. However, divorces only allow one to state “irreconcilable differences” as the reasons for the death of the marriage. Since this was not an accurate depiction of the facts, I decided to file for a nullity. From the start I was advised that obtaining a nullity would be a challenge. A nullity enables one to outline the chronology of events and list the specific causes (and explain why one party is at fault) for the end of the marriage, and thus allows one to present a more comprehensive case to the court. However, judges still very rarely grant them. It was clear to me that we were facing an uphill battle. However, I felt confident that I was in good hands with Ty as my representative and advocate. I worked closely with him for months gathering and reviewing the evidence for inclusion in my case, and assisting with the development of the legal documents. Ty is an extremely gifted writer, so this actually made the process enjoyable for me. He was able to consistently and accurately reflect my perspectives in his prose. Ty was also highly responsive to me during all of our communications about the case. I would receive replies to my emails within minutes sometimes, and he always made time to take my telephone calls. He answered at length every question I ever posed, and even took the time to explain larger legal concepts to me. In addition, Ty went to extraordinary lengths to accommodate my schedule for the few times we needed to meet in person. He even spent five hours with me finalizing the court documents and organizing the evidence for the nullity the day before the law office needed to be packed and moved to a new location. He never once tried to rush me or act like he had anywhere else to be but there working on my case. I am pleased to say we obtained the nullity shortly after filing our legal documents in court! The partners in the law firm said it was the first time in their collective 60 plus years of practicing law that they had ever seen a nullity granted so swiftly and based on the strength of the legal documents alone. Customarily a “prove-up” hearing is required with witnesses called to provide testimony. Here is an excerpt from a thank you letter I wrote to Ty following our legal victory: “I am so overwhelmed with gratitude that words are not sufficient to show my appreciation for your work at this moment. So, I will simply say again that I have been tremendously blessed to have you represent me and advocate for me in this nullity. Ty, your unsurpassed intelligence, legal skills, work ethic, sense of humor, unwavering kindness, and cheerful personality truly brought out the best in me. I developed great confidence in your abilities, and this allowed me to focus on the sometimes emotionally difficult process. Equally important to me was feeling encouraged and supported by you every step of the way. Your positive outlook kept me from becoming undermined by doubt, or entertaining any fear that I was "wasting" time and money on my pursuit of what I knew were worthy goals. You worked tirelessly and patiently with me for months during this labor-intensive process." Ty is highly recommended.

Mr. Supancic wrote our prenup and my husband and I swear it is one of the reasons we have such a good marriage. He made us talk about and plan for things we probably wouldn't have on our own. He called it "Marriage Insurance" and I really believe he helped us protect ourselves from a divorce down the road. Ty made what could have been a frightening and stressful experience, fun and happy.

“In short, I was represented.
Robert Borsky pulled it in, got control, then got it done, instead of taking me for a ride. My only regret besides having to go through this travesty called “Family Law”, is not engaging Robert Borsky from the very beginning.”
My divorce took 6 long years to finish from February 2008 to January 2014.
Seven attorneys later, it was the divorce from hell that would not end.
Having to thank the corrupted “Industry” of California Family Law for that, too much time, energy and all of my resources were completely wasted, only to see my entire family become the victims.
I’ve experienced the “super attorney” who was only super at keeping me on the clock as they dragged their feet with delay after delay, only to satisfy their own financial interests, to the attorney who was very hard working and honest but lacked courtroom savvy/experience and the ability to get things done.
The other five attorneys were everything else in between.
My case was a train running out of control because of bad and/or dishonest representation (or lack of).
I met Robert Borsky at a workshop he was heading in 2008 that offered assistance to those who wanted to educate themselves on the subject and process of divorce.
I liked his workshop and message and decided to give him a call after being betrayed and abandoned by attorney number 6.
My brief experience with Mr. Borsky was a very positive one.
Besides being very accessible, he was always well prepared in our meetings both in and out of court and would exercise his ability to collaborate and contribute good ideas which complimented his knowledge of family law and my case.
Always fair and honest and fully engaged, he also shared a sensitivity level that really helped me rebuild my confidence towards a resolution to my case especially after six laborious years of litigation.
Additionally, he had no problem exercising his bravado in court or asserting himself when dealing with the rouge antics of opposing counsel.
In short, I was represented.

Dan is a great family law attorney. Why? he's calm. Keeps it simple. Doesn't chase wild geese, and politely stops you if you want a wild goose chase. He's an excellent writer. I get impatient sometimes when he is re-writing things, but the end result is SO worth it. Wonderful guy, really cares. Will absolutely tell you to "dial it down" when these family law issues get you heated. Nicely.

My son rear ended a husband and wife in a very slow moving collision that caused very minor damage to both vehicles. A law suit was file two years later where the wife claimed she sustained serious back injuries asking for over $800,000 for future medical care.
Attorney Michael C. Booser of Mark Weiner and Assoc. defended my son and methodically presented a logical case with awesome expert witnesses and common sense. This is the first personal lawsuit I have been involved in and hopefully last, but Mr. Booser successfully won our case and no money was awarded to the plaintiff.

I don't know the details of your case, but I unfortunately have been in two massive litigation's, involving too many attorneys (on both sides), so feel I am "experienced." I met Tony Gordon after those trials, and have to say the work he's done on my behalf has been the complete opposite...I found him thorough, patient, available, knowledgeable, fair with his fees and charges and above all, in my case succeeded!! I did not really want to get a divorce, but circumstances required that I could not ignore any more. Michelle handled the entire process in a way that made me feel very comfortable. I have heard horrible stories about divorce proceedings and just did not want to go through all the arguing and hostilities. Michelle came up with solutions that I did not know about and it made the entire process very pleasant. She also saved the X and me a lot of money in the process. Highly recommended.
