Valerie Goudie is the epitome of a saint.
From day 1 she was invested in our step-parent adoption case.
She didn’t care that we’re a same-sex couple, she believed in our case and she made sure every document was complete and accurate, she listened and put not only her work, but her heart into this case. One incident in the case we thought the judge may dismiss but she vowed no matter what we had this and she wouldn’t give up. She knows exactly what she’s doing and in the event she has a question, she checks it 7 times over.
With every quote we received upon filing for the adoption she was by far the best price. Even though 10 months later we racked a nice bill because I emailed her so much..she’s worth every single penny.
Aside from winning our case she was there for me when I needed her, through my panic attacks and my frantic emails to crying relief over the phone. I hired and paid Attorney Marc Stewart to address my malpractice case. He said he used an expert witness but despite using an expert witness and reviewing the records neither noticed that the correct x-ray imaging was not taken to diagnose what was most likely the cause of my pain and disability based on the history and symptoms. This failure to diagnose and take the proper imaging by the surgeon would probably have been enough to have a case but Mr. Stewart and his expert didn't even realize that the correct imaging was not used when I went to see the surgeon at the 3-month mark still with constant pain and needing narcotics and unable to turn my head or look down since the surgery three months earlier. The surgeon only took a basic X-ray and said everything was fine when it wasn't. And instead of getting a diagnosis and follow up correction surgery I was on narcotics and other pain chemicals (medications) for 5 years in constant pain, and suicidal. And lost my career and ability to work in my profession. Mr Stewart's failure led to the two-year statute of limitations expiring and preventing me from being able to have a case. And receive compensation for damages from the surgeon. And to stop suffering much sooner instead of 5 years of constant pain and suffering.

Stephanie was such an amazing attorney, start to finish. Right from the initial consultation, she was able to put me at ease about my legal situation. Throughout my case, I found her and her paralegal very accessible. In fact, I was provided her paralegal's cell phone number and Stephanie never took longer than an hour or so to return an email if it was urgent, regardless of whether it was at night, on a weekend, or during a holiday. She knew that it was difficult for me to miss work, so she always agreed to meet with me to prepare for my deposition, temporary hearing preparation and trial preparation on a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon. At the hearing and at trial she arrived prepared and obviously knew her way around the courtroom. I know that my experience could have been much different than it was, so I am thankful I found and hired Stephanie to be my attorney. I would definitely go back to her if I every needed legal help again and I would recommend her to anyone needing legal assistance.
