My daughter was a right-of-way pedestrian when she was struck by a left-turning vehicle at the intersection of Bush and Gough streets. While she did not sustain broken bones, she did hit her head on the pavement with intensity and recovered slowly over a two-year-plus period.
I contacted Walkup Melodia during the COVID outbreak which contributed to the stress of our situation. Mike Kelly, a partner at Walkup, called me back after two hours and immediately understood the trauma that my daughter experienced. Mike Kelly is amazing! I was a pedestrian hit by a car in the middle of a crosswalk. I was referred to Mike by a friend who highly recommended him. I was in extreme crisis when we contacted Mike. Since I was bedridden, he made a house visit on the weekend a couple of days after the accident. That alone shows what a caring, sensitive person he is. He sensed how distraught I was and made every effort to calm me. At that time, he took over the worries of getting financial justice and allowed me to focus on healing. That was major for me! Mike worked at making sure I was able to get the full amount of insurance from both the drivers insurance company and my insurance company. I had an amazing experience working with Jonah.
I had a small, but complex legal issue that resulted in a warrant being issued for time I had already served, and left the state for. Jonah was very communicative from the start, and was able to get me added to SF calendar quickly, so I flew in/out for court in the same day. I was one of the unfortunate people who got caught up in the recall of hip replacement hardware. At the time I was in need I was unable to find a single firm in my area of Portsmouth, VA who was taking clients with this particular problem. I've worked in the law for 31 years (bankruptcy), but it was definitely both humbling and strange to be on the other side of the lawyer's desk. You know it's a bad day when you wake to someone cradling your neck and announcing that "the ambulance is on the way " (when bicyclist meets car, bicyclist loses). I interviewed a few PI lawyers (half my friends, it seems, are attorneys). Carter Zinn struck me as incredibly knowledgeable, aggressive and creative. Although the lawsuit was a bit of a roller coaster, at every point along the way I knew I made the right selection. Emily & Mike Kelly of her firm represented me after I survived falling out a 4th floor Bay Area hotel room window four years ago.
They visited me in a local hospital & injury rehab center, stayed in touch via phone & e-mail after I returned home to Florida, brought together a first-rate team of expert witnesses and guided me through the sometimes confounding and confusing California personal injury litigation process.
Client management isn't a class in any law school that I know of and it can be tricky to handle a client whose friends have called him a "victim of terminal candor", but Emily and Mike did it well. Emily went so far as to "friend" me on Facebook and make sure I didn't post anything that could hurt the case.

In 2021 because of a foot problem My wife had to go out on disability. We contacted our insurance company and they told us she wasn’t covered even though we’ve been paying for for years

I appreciate the opportunity to share my unfortunate experience with Dolan Law Firm. I also appreciate the time the case manager, Mercedes, took to briefly listen to my concerns. I didn't expect to receive services from Dolan Law Firm from the questions I was asked during the information (intake) gathering. I messaged them since their website was advertised on another website as a possible law firm for civil rights cases. I read their reviews and a lot of reviews seem to be accident (personal injury) cases. Possibly there's a quota that needs to be fulfilled or the documentation that was requested that I emailed to the case manager was reviewed and or searched possibly for a statement regarding a accident and or personal injury, I am uncertain. I would have preferred to have received an email message regarding the type of case(s) the law firm is/was currently interested in taking.I realize not every person and or potential clients can be 'pleased'. However, the few negative reviews listed for this law firm have concerning and possibly valid points that I think potential clients may (or may not) want to consider. I did not receive services from this company/law firm, so I would not recommend this company to a friend or colleague.

Dr. Zinman is a kind and caring attorney. I wish there were more people like him in this world. Although, he couldn't take my case because I live so far away. Out of the kindness of his heart, he advised me on how to protect myself from the negligent and unscrupulous dentist who ruined my veeners. Dr. Zinman clearly doesn't like it when the community gets taken advantage of. Because he was quick to share his wealth of expert knowledge for free with me and guided me step by step through the process. I have received multiple e-mails from Dr. Zinman, some times just checking in on me and providing answers to all my questions. I am so grateful for him.
I highly recommend Dr. Zinman to everyone, he will go above and beyond for you. Like he did for me. Mr. Zinman was admitted as a PRO HAC VICE on my sig dental malpractice in Virginia, and I subsequently filed non-suit shortly after Mr. Zinman and my attorney released the designation of experts testimony, since they never allowed me to review any of the dental records that the dentist presented, they never deposed any of the former employees that I recommended that had significant information, nor did they explain how they arrived at their decision which was contrary to my deposition as well as my excellent dental expert's opinion (specialist in Prosthodontics).. Specifically, the dentist who also has a law degree destroyed my entire oral health in 10 years time, in which he impulsively extracted of all of my 2nd molars without x-rays and informed consent, which also resulted in significant bone loss to my lower jaw area; however, the dentist never acknowledged the bone loss. During the 10 years of treatment, I did not have an ability to chew my foods from 2003 until my Board-Certified Prosthodontist restored my oral health in June 2013. This dentist extracted a total of 9 teeth w/o x-rays and informed consent: #29, #13, #10, # 5, #17, #20, #30, #31, and #15. The dentist also deliberately w/h my first 3 treatments beginning 8-28-02, 9-18-02, 10-2-02, for litigation purposes and fraudulently posted these tx's to my former dentist's record,previously retired. The dentist also usd former dentist's pt inform sheet with my name on it and crossed/o date and egregiously changed my husband's first treatment with him to my former chart and noted recent hx diabetes. This dentist also added add tx's to my former dental chart and then deleted billing record. Although I testified to this, and sent emails requesting a document examiner, my requests were ignored. Thus, the dentist did not present my attorney with all of my treatments and he presented false interrogatories. When the dentist was deposed, Mr. Zinman only asked dentist if he treated me at my former dentist's office, which he falsely testified he had, but that he did not remember the treatment. No further questions were presented by my counsel. The dentist also performed multiple root canals that were faulty unbeknownst to me that caused serious dental infections and bacterial infections resulting in endocarditis and residual heart valve residuals; however, no x-rays were presented in support of the root canals. I had 39 documented return dental trips that I made to this dentist's office for faulty crowns cracking and falling out, but at no time was this ever discussed with him either. In addition, the dentist placed a dollop of glue on my one implant without connecting it and then placed an open margin bridge over it that resulted in add'l inflamm (pus infection), bone loss, and the implant was left in place but no longer functioning as an implant. This dentist also kept me in temporaries from 2-25-06 until 2009, 2010, and as a result all of my teeth had decay on them. As such, he placed crowns over decay and the crowns had over hanging margins, which resulted in add'l bacterial infections. It should also be noted that this dentist only presented 3 x-rays taken in 2003, 2005, but no x-rays taken after crowns placed. Also, this dentist also alleged all of his laboratory receipts were destroyed by sprinkler system and when Mr. Zinman asked him if he attempted to obtain dup's after being notified of my complaint he stated he had not. Although the burden shld have shifted to the dentist, Mr. Zinman bent over backwrds and agred to obtain records for last 2 years; but,, no recds rec'd. Mr. Zinman also assesed me with med induced xerostomia to lessen the damges, which I do not....just the opposite drool all of time and he dismissed 1/2 of my tx's finding 1-30-06 as the date he fell below standard of care despite the fact it was a false date inserted by the dentist. The def also chargd me more than $60 thous, but falsely testified it was $43,000.

He's not one for hand-holding or spending a lot of time comforting a client, but as for expertise and advocacy, I can't complain. Zinman is a dentist and an attorney. Mark was kind, thorough, and communicative throughout. His assistant, Erica Sullivan, was also considerate, helpful, and prompt. Without revealing details, my family and I are completely pleased and satisfied with the outcome. Nothing can put things back the way they were. But Mark, his firm, and those assisting him on this case were excellent. I feel lucky to know them and consider them competent, serious, and honest. I showed this place the wrongful termination message evidence and after that they asked for all of the other messages which I submitted in a drop box, and then they decided to not take on the case. I understand not taking on cases that are not well documented, but this is a clear cut case with strong evidence. I felt that Sean, and Christine just didn't want to do any of the work. If you are looking for representation steer clear of this place.It is frustrating because I am dealing with an extremely illegal matter that they just brushed off. I personally would not trust the other reviews. Keep searching.
