If you are researching attorneys before you sign a contract, count your lucky stars that you have found Rabb and Rabb. I had a very expensive, negative personal injury experience at another law firm, and the staff and attorneys at Rabb and Rabb helped me navigate the fallout from that; and they competently handled the UIM portion of my claim. I would ONLY use Rabb and Rabb in the future for any legal needs (God forbid). They are professional, kind, informative, knowledgeable, and capable. They went above and beyond to keep me from being taken (complete) advantage of by my former insurance company, (Connect/Ameriprise), and they courteously answered about a thousand of my questions on all aspects of my case. Jim Penney has successfully assisted with multiple unfortunate civil issues encountered here in Southeastern Arizona.
In a government position, a female co-worker made bogus accusations that she had been sexually harassed. When it came time for the deposition, she suddenly had a severe case of amnesia and in fact became quite angry when Jim caught her in her insatiable scenario of lies.
At a retail store, a female manager kept using unwelcomed words of endearment such as “hon, daring, sweetie…” when we were not dating. After multiple requests to stop such conduct, termination was the ultimate punishment. Jim was able to obtain a “Right to Sue Letter” from the E.E.O.C.
An H.O.A. President felt it was OK for females to enter the Men’s shower facility unannounced. An effective but diplomatic warning from Jim took care of that problem.
Another employer felt it was appropriate to terminate an employee for reporting serious health and safety issues on the job site in addition to known sex offenders hanging out in the children’s area. His representation earned an unemployment insurance claim.
Jim has been a straight shooter when it comes to a projected case outcome and finances. He returns the majority of phone calls within 24 hours. Thus he has truly earned “The Best Civil Attorney in Southeast Arizona”

Of all the attorneys I ever worked with- this individual was one of the most helpful individuals I ever met in my life., I am a physician - I had a problem with an administration playing games that are not uncommon in Tucson. Hardy understood the problem even after my meandering attempt to explain the problem. He was able to see the problem clearly and took the appropriate steps to get the problem administration- to understand their behavior was unprofessional and was inconsistent with their own policies and procedures- and their unrealistic demands to try and get us to work several additional hours without proper compensation represents harassment. Although the same agency is still harassing their current staff- Hardy's help put the agency on notice. It allowed me and several others to escape the poor working conditions they were imposing on their entire staff. Without Hardy's help- the agency would of kept making unfair and unrealistic demands on the staff and myself. Before consulting with Hardy- the agency was ignoring its own policies and procedures - and making unfair demands at their staff. Staff who did not follow these demands were fired and threatened they agency would report this to the employees licensing board. The agency removed important protections for the workers that was written in clear language in their policy and procedures. Hardy made it clear to the agency they were in violation of their own rules. After his notification- several of us were able to successfully get out of our contracts because their demands were in clear violation of policy. When we tried to point this out to the administration before I consulted Hardy- the administration used smoke and mirrors to justify their improper demands. After Hardy made it clear that the agency was violating their own policy with their demands the administration quickly backed away from their demands and most of the staff who were effected - were able to leave the agency. If it was not for Hardy- this would never of happened- and we would of been forced to work in a hostile environment.
I recommend Hardy without any reservations- he really saved many of our staff and myself from continued harassment from the agencies medical director and her distorted use of the agencies own guidelines.

I spoke with David about a situation that I wasn’t sure whether I had a case or not. I explained the best I could to him my situation, and through our conversation with him, asking me questions and telling me how the system works I believed that I would be wasting his time Going forward. However, even though this was a consultation and David knew that he wasn’t going to have me as a client. He gave me valuable information that I can use going forward and discussing my issue with the doctor that almost killed me. His advice was worth everything to me. We were able to talk freely and I felt that David was more of a friend than just an attorney I had called up. Although hopefully I don’t have to consult with David again, if I ever do get this position again he is gonna be my first call. He was very honest and straightforward and took more time than I expected to go through my situation. Definitely this man is very intelligent and well-versed on his field. David Sumner is everything one could hope for in an attorney when one's loved one has suffered a catastrophic injury. I was involved in a car crash where a guy with a 20ft trailer passed me on the shoulder of the one lane on-ramp shortly before entering the freeway. I was represented by an attorney who dropped the case when I was unwilling to accept a ridiculous settlement offer from the insurance company (Allstate). I called all of those injury / accident law offices which advertise constantly on the radio and billboards, the answer was always the same „Sorry, if it’s already in litigation, we are unable to take the case“
When I was about to give up and represent myself, I stumbled upon Eric’s phone number and I was surprised that I was able to talk to him directly, not through some „intake secretary“. He immediately told me that he would be happy to represent me but that he had an appointment on the day of the hearing which was scheduled a few days later. He called the court and was able to get another continuance, (the hearing had already been rescheduled several times).
The end of the story: We won the case. Eric was extremely well prepared and I was impressed how he presented the case. I don’t think that any attorney could have done a better job. The other party was represented by a mean former prosecutor who tried to blame me for the crash. I am not sure what the outcome would have been without Eric.

I was in the middle of a personal injury case that started heading south in late 2007. Mr Thomson guided me through the process necessary to substitute him as my counsel. His representation through a trial setting resulted in a defense counsel, representing my opponent, offering five times the settlement amount that was offered through prior counsel. He explained to me later that not all attorneys accept pi clients with his commitment to follow it through a trial setting. In my experience, his professionalism and courtesy toward me as with others involved was beyond exceptional. As client, my views were in part unrealistic and perhaps naive or ignorant are accurate descriptors. Anyway, he remained cool headed right down to the wire and set aside time for me along the way and afterwards to make sure I felt in the know. I think that you will agree his people skills and professional candor make him second to none. I mean that he won't waste your time and you will find his manner extraordinary.

Mr. Rodriguez did a great job on my medical ngligence case. He took the time to review my medical records and then consulted with me as to what he felt the best outcome would be in my situation. He was very honest and forthright in telling me what my case was worth and why. He handled all the negotiations with the hospital on my behalf. He and his staff quickly replied to all of my inquiries and were friendly and helpful during the case. Although I was hoping my case would be worth more, I understood the reasons for the settlement and in the end I was quite happy with the final outcome. We were hit from behind while sitting at a stop light by a driver doing close to 45mph who was likely impaired. Our 3/4 ton vehicle was totaled and two of us had minor injuries.
When Tammy wanted to settle for $10k a piece, which covered our medical and her contingency fee. We thought she was kidding. Sound like she's working for the you?? Didn't seem that way to us. Seemed more like a cattle drive to collect her fee.
Thankfully, we took our business elsewhere. She then filed a $5k lien on the case. There was NO possible way $5k worth of work was done, perhaps a small fraction of that amount at most.
We wanted someone that would fight for us. We have never filed an auto injury claim in our lives, with nearly flawless driving records for over 40 years, so this case had every advantage.
We feel very betrayed, and will likely take this up with government agencies to assist, unless the lien is removed, or dramatically reduced.
