We were faced with losing everything that my mother and father had worked for their entire lives because my mother had a stroke. People always hear of all the horrors of not being prepared for the possibility of sudden illness or incapacitation brought on by any medical procedure or health problem. Well I can say that everyone should find a reputable Attorney, like Jason McMahon, and get your affairs in order before those horror stories take you and your family down in a heartbeat. There are so many rules and regulations as well as "Loopholes" involved in getting your family member accepted for Medicaid that nobody, except an Attorney, can possibly know, discover or understand. If you wait until an emergency occurs, you will be in the same boat we were in and without a paddle as well. I was very fortunate in finding an honest, hard working, concerned, dedicated, knowledgeable, etc., etc., Attorney in Jason McMahon. I can honestly say that I have never had such fine fortune in my life before, so I am very thankful. It is very true that an Attorney is expensive, but when you consider their fee against what you have to lose, an honest Attorney like Mister McMahon will earn every penny you have to pay out. Mr McMahon's fees are actually a bargain when compared to other Attorneys as well anyway. All this said, if (when) we ever need another Attorney, we will definitely be calling on Jason McMahon first. He has definitely felt like a very great friend on our side for the entire process of getting my mother accepted for Medicaid. The words in the review title that I used all describe Jason very well. I first met Jason as a result of a friend's recommendation. My friend lives in Thailand and needed someone that he could trust to handle his father's affairs regarding nursing home care, medicaid, and estate matters. At that time, I was caring for my elderly Uncle's affairs while he was in a nursing home. I needed advice on how to proceed with Medicaid and all of my other Uncle's needs. Upon my first meeting with Jason, I took and immediate liking to this man. He is a very personable, compassionate, knowledgeable and caring individual who one can trust implicitly to do what is best for his clients. I have absolutely no regret at all in retaining Jason to represent my Uncle. He did a wonderful job and met our needs well. He followed through with everything and everyone and represented my Uncle with nursing home authorities, medicaid, probate etc. He always returned calls and emails promptly if I couldn't reach him directly. After working with Jason for almost a year on my Uncle's estate needs, I can say that we have developed more than just a client/attorney relationship. I consider Jason a true friend and know that I can count on him in the future should I need his assistance. I have recommended Jason to my sister-in-law who needed help with her mother and Medicaid and to a friend who needed help with a Will and Advanced Directives. We are pleased with the opportunity to provide a reference for Paul Perantinides. Our daughter discovered her chances of surviving the type of cancer she had was diminished to zero due to the malpractice of the surgeon. Knowing she was losing the battle my daughter sought the advice of a lawyer. Mr. Perantinides ultimately acquired her case. Our daughter asked Paul to “please not forget about her.” Our daughter lost her battle with cancer in 2011 at the age of 33. During the 18 months from her diagnosis and first surgery until her death she suffered indescribable, horrific, unrelenting pain. She left behind her two girls, age 5 years and 2-1/2 years at that time. Mr. Perantinides remained an advocate for our daughter’s cause. His perseverance in holding the surgeon and facility responsible for their malpractice resulted in a settlement in 2017. Six years after her death. He did not forget about her. Although no amount of money would ever compensate for the death of our daughter, we are grateful to Mr. Perantinides for the settlement. It will help our granddaughters with their future education. In our first meeting together, it was obvious that Paul was different from the other attorneys I had sought out. My wife passed away under the care of a local hospital, and I was looking for someone to represent me. He asked me all the right questions and engaged himself clearly showing interest in me and my family. In that first meeting it was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. He was confident about taking on my case. As we moved forward through the coming months, I became convinced that I had chosen the right person for the job.
As I was introduced to his staff over time I was extremely impressed with all of them. Paul has set an atmosphere of excellent customer service,always showing respect and care.
No questions were left unanswered, no phone calls were left hanging. Paul explained every action through the process, all the pros and cons, ups and downs. All the risks and all the possible out come. At no time did he ever try to tell me something that might have had a hidden agenda. He is an honest man, with integrity, something not always seen in this profession.

Don took my case, responded to me in county jail within hours and carried the details of my case after the verdict was finalized. He knew everyone in the system from the judge to the ADA and was able to advocate for me effectively. I have the highest respect for Don as a professional as well as a person. Don malarcik jr. Has worked incredibly hard on my case. With it still pending I can't get into details but he is worth every penny and then some. He knows the ins and outs of law like no one I've ever seen. He's a gentleman and a scholar in the courtroom but it is very clear to see the other attorneys admire and respect him when he walks in the room. He approaches the case like a chess genius moving 10 moves ahead and out thinking everyone around him. I hope after this case I never have to use them again but he definitely will be on retainer because I can't think of another person I'd rather have walk me through the legal process. Not only does he teach trial School in Wyoming but he's six and oh at getting folks off of the death penalty. His views from what I understand that even though someone may be guilty and they deserve to spend their life in prison we as human beings do not have the power to dictate who lives and dies. They will be judged by God and properly sentenced per God's decision.

I could write a book about how good Scott handled my case ( Had a F-5 Case in Summit). When I first sat down with Scott, I had a lawyer I was working with that said that it was not if I was going to prison it was how long I was going to have to go, now let me say I had all ready given the other lawyer the proof that I did not do what the police said I did and He still told me that statment. So me and Scott sat down for about a hour and went over my case and he said give him a few days and he would call me back. Scott called me in about 2 days and said that he had work something out and that I need to be in court the following week, I said great. So we went to court that morning and instead of sitting there for hours he got us in front of the judge within the first 3 to 5 people and on top of that THE CASE WAS DROPPED, NOT A PLEA DEAL IT WAS JUST COMPLETELY DROPPED. Based on Scott spending the time to listen and make the court listen to the proof that I had, unlike the other lawyer that just didnt care about me or my family or want to spend anytime working on the case. Scott is by far the best in Akron and dont just take my word for it ask around, better yet give him a call and sit down with him and when your done YOU WILL SEE AND FEEL THAT He is the best and cares about you and your case and will spend the time need on your case.

Julie is an amazing attorney. I'm from Houston, TX. I was driving through Missouri late one evening on my way to Michigan. I was pulled over and received a speeding ticket. I hired a different law firm in Missouri to handle the ticket. I paid them and the fines and the informed me that it was all taken care of. A few years later I attempted to renew TX DL and was informed that my TX DL had been revoked for a traffic violation by the state of Missouri. Houston was hit by Hurricane Harvey, and my house was flooded. I lost all my records in the flood. The TX Department of motor vehicles was useless, they could not tell me what municipality in Missouri the ticket was from. All they would say was to contact Missouri. When I attempted to contact Missouri, all I could get was the automated phone options that would always leave me on hold for hours and hours. I gave up and hired an attorney in Houston to figure it out for me. The attorney Houston took my $500 and several months later informed me that he was unable to find out anything helpful, but he could do more research for another $500.
Finally, I did a search for traffic attorney in Jefferson City, MO and came across Dodson & Waters. Nancy Hanks answered the phone, and I gave her brief description of my problem. Within 5 minutes Nancy had searched the public records and found the original ticket and the records where the original attorney had paid the the fines and court costs. She then was able to get the reinstatement issued from Missouri to Texas. Solving a legal problem in minutes that two other attorneys had failed at for years.

My brother was killed in an accident on the Ohio turnpike. In his will he designated my sister his executrix. She had decided that the other family members were not entitled to any funds from the settlement from the wrongful death suit.
