I came to Mr. Tomasik from another attorney who was not capable of handling my particular case. I found his website while searching the internet for a personal injury attorney. I called the office and briefly spoke to Jessie, the assistant who was so polite and patient with me on the phone. She informed me that Mr. Tomasik agreed to meet up with me the same day. On my way to Berkley, I was very nervous as to how things were going to turn out because after all, I had such a bad experience with my previous lawyer. IAt the same time, I had serious painful health issues resulting from my car accident with which I had to deal with on a daily basis. Having to deal with terrible physical pain and looking for a different attorney for myself was very stressful for me. I arrived to Mr. Tomasik's Berkley office and upon entering I almost immediately felt comfortable. Mr. Tomasik got some information from me about my situation and how unhappy and disappointed I was in my previous lawyer. Like I said, at the time of my meeting with him, I was feeling very sick due to my injuries but Mr. Tomasik made me feel so comfortable. I was so glad that he was willing to take on my case. From then on, I don't have anything but all the positive things to say about Mr. Tomasik. He was always there to answer any questions I had along the way. I could reach him at all times. I couldn't reach my previous lawyer for weeks and I am not exagerating. I thought that was normal for lawyers not to call back promptly until I hired Mr. Tomasik. Most importantly, Mr. Tomasik treated me like family. He fought so hard for me to the end. Upon reading the other testimonials, I have come to realize that each case Mr. Tomasik takes on, he takes it very seriously and does not give up until he gets the best compensation. I am eternally grateful for the representation I received from CASP. After a horrible experience with a dentist, I wrote a review on Yelp! so that other patients could avoid what I went through. Unfortunately, the dentist filed a SLAPP against me and claimed my review had caused her to suffer economic losses. Working with Markus and his paralegal was as stress free as a personal injury suit against the federal government could be. Robert Cheasty represented me after a very bad car accident back in 2008. My car was totaled and the other party was hospitalized due to broken ribs. I was so scared because I had the minimum coverage that I haven't made any change for 10 years, but he helped me settled that case within a year. The insurance covered all costs without me paying anything.
Cheasty's assistant lawyer was very helpful too when I did real estate in 2012. She went beyond what she needed to do and pointed out how I could pay more taxes if I did the way I wanted to do. They really care about their clients.
Cheasty's law firm also did an excellent job for my friend's former boss. She had a lawsuit that several lawyers refused to take, but Cheasty took it and did extensive research on both his professional area and medical field. He also found a good doctor to review the medical record and prove that the death was not related to her. That have brought back her peace.
This was the reason I chose this law firm for my cases.

I was the plaintiff in a difficult personal injury case where I was seeking damages from a dry cleaner for substituting inferior material into a duvet that I had sent out for cleaning. Greg Brock was a young attorney at the time. It was a relatively small case, but he handled it with attention and was able to obtain a very nice settlement for me. Mr. Sperber is one of the most skilled and intelligent attorneys in the industry. I spoke with several attorneys initially. I wanted to share my honest opinion about my interaction with James Chanin. I called in with a Police Misconduct case and immediately while speaking I kept getting interrupted and was unable to clearly explain what happened. Mr Chanin repeatedly talked over me and then placed me on hold. Once he came back to the phone I tried to continue on with my story but it was very hard knowing that this attorney is basically telling your story for you by interrupting every sentence I made which made it very hard and confusing. The case I have is with a former Stockton police officer who robbed me off some cash. This same officer has already been found guilty and also admitted guilt in another case just last year. I was unable to relay all the facts because I was being talked over and put on hold. Mr Chanin eventually stated that he can not represent me because it’s going to take $5,000 to 10,000 to take on my case. With that said I believe that number is a bunch of bull crap because for one this case is already in the hands of the District Attorney as well as Internal Affairs. All the evidence and paperwork leading to this officers wrongdoings are available. I have been tirelessly searching for an attorney that will represent me. I had high hopes for James Chanin since I looked up his information and seen that he does handles police misconduct cases and also his mission statement says that he became an attorney to help people. He also stated that he is not satisfied until he knows that he has done everything possible to help people. He also stated that he strives to do an exemplary and professional job with minimal costs to clients and that he is not afraid to try a case. All of this I found to be not true he was definitely afraid to take on my case and he didn’t do anything to help me when he has years of experience in police misconduct cases. I am very disappointed because it seems like attorneys are looking for the dollar sign and media coverage in order to take on a case. The mission definitely is not to help people the mission is to see who has the most money in a case. Knowing that these attorneys spend years in school and working hard just to end up not helping and being the voice for the people who don’t have the help is very disheartening and disappointing.
