Working with the law office of Cecelia Soboleski has been one of the best decisions I have ever made since my divorce process started.
I say this because despite the distance and time difference, I currently live here in the Philippines, we were able to communicate well. She manage to discuss the plans and educate me about the case thru zoom meetings and email. She gives you insight but she let’s you decide on everything. Zoom meetings were arrange so that it would both fit into our schedule. She would definitely reply to questions and clarification thru email.

Caputo and Van Der Walde was the standout firm for me when I was looking for representation after my car accident. I was very overwhelmed by the whole process of consulting with lawyers. After doing consultations with three different firms, Caputo and Van Der Walde stood out to me because of their professionalism, their thoughtfulness, and their consideration for me as a person. I felt tended to, and any time I was confused, their staff always helped me out and let me know what my options were.
I felt like I was in capable hands at every step of the process, which is the best thing that I could hope for. My experience with Caputo - Van Der Walde law firm was
extremely positive from the very beginning! I was injured in
an auto accident February 13, 2024. My injury required surgery, a
3 night stay at Good Samaritan Hospital, an almost 3 week stay
in a nearby skilled nursing facility for recovery.
From the moment I called Caputo - Van Der Walde Law Offices
I received outstanding service, support, and encouragement.
I had the opportunity to speak with Attorney Paul on my
initial phone call. Paul was very helpful and caring. His
approach set the foundation for my experience with
Caputo - Van Der Walde.
I was directed to Don Peeler, Don was very helpful and caring
from the onset. He asked me to bring certain documents to the
law office, upon delivery I had the pleasure of meeting Don in person. I also had the pleasure Of meeting Corine Abrego on
my first visit to Caputo - Van Der Walde. Generally when I
called Caputo - Van Der Walde Corine answered the phone,
always warm, caring, and helpful.
Most of my contact at Caputo Van Der Walde was with
Shawn Smith, my case manager. Shawn's work was detailed.
Shawn was always available to answer any questions I had.
Shawn guided me as to how to proceed with the next step
in providing Shawn with documents, copies of bills, and any
information he needed in order to submit the specific
information to specific agencies.
Shawn always provided me with copies of emails he had
received from individuals/agencies he was working with to
complete my case. My out of pocket expenses were paid
to me, I was also given a pain and suffering settlement. All
paper work for my out of pocket expenses and pain and
suffering settlement was completed and coordinated by
Shawn Smith, with assistance from Don Peeler.
I felt the work and coordination done by Smith and Peeler
was accomplished in a very timely way. All in all everyone at
Caputo Van Der Walde was very easy to work with, very
cooperative. I truly believe the mission of Caputo - Van Der
Walde was the help me in every way possible. My best interests
were certainly their top priority.

I had an absolutely frustrating experience with Deldar Legal for my personal injury case. My accident happened in March 2024, and my medical treatment ended in July 2024. Yet, more than 6 months later, I still haven't received my settlement check.
The timeline of incompetence:
Release was sent back to Deldar Legal on 10/31/2024, which means all documents from my end are done.
By 12/6/2024, no progress, no status updates of any kind
On 1/31/2025 (THREE MONTHS after sending the release), the call center claimed they hadn't received the check, but no one bothered to investigate why it was taking so long
On 2/4/2025, After my calling, Delia from Deldar finally emailed saying the adjuster needed additional info (information that should have been requested back in October/November 2024!)
I promptly replied to Delia's email but received no response
On 2/20/2025, After my calling, Delia called back claiming she "forgot to hit send" on her email reply
On 2/25/2025, the call center told me the adjuster sent the check (but they hadn't received it)
Just three days later (2/28/2025), the call center contradicted themselves saying the adjuster hadn't even approved the check yet!
Throughout this entire ordeal, callbacks rarely happened, and I constantly had to chase them for updates. They kept making excuses and provided contradictory information. The lack of proactive communication and follow-up was appalling.
I'm baffled by all the positive reviews for this firm. My experience has been nothing but delays, excuses, and poor communication. I would strongly advise anyone considering Deldar Legal to look elsewhere for representation.

Caputo and Van Der Walde (and their entire team) are a class act Law firm. Everyone I spoke with from my initial inquiry to seeing it through to the end was professional, patient, approachable, knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accountable throughout the entire process. My case was a little tricky, but Paul always kept things in perspective and guided me appropriately. He and his team responded to all my questions in a prompt and efficient manner. Accepted my retainer. Appeared once for me in court ~ represented me well at that hearing ~ then disappeared allegedly due to health issues. I attempted several times to communicate with Mr. Moore and proceed with my case but he would not answer calls, emails, or letters. I finally had to hire another lawyer to simply contact Mr. Moore to get my files. I had no funds left at that point to continue fighting in the courts, and the child custody decisions made by the court reflected it. To say that Mr. Moore did anything for me aside from representing me the one time in court would be a gross overstatement in my opinion.
I sincerely hope that Mr. Moore’s health has dramatically improved along with the quantity and quality of his work. No one should ever have to experience the unnecessary sense of loss and grief that I, alone experienced while Mr. Moore was engaged as my legal counsel.
