I was a victim of slip & fall accident while at work and unlawfully terminated in a very disrespectful manner. The manager at the time didn't even want to pay me the last week I worked there. The accident happened in Feb this year since then I haven't been able to do anything properly because of the unbearable pain that takes over my body. The Doctors requested physical therapy for me to improve a bit my injures and it has been a total nightmare trying to get these therapies authorised from WC. The insurance company adjuster never answered the phone nor reply to my messages. Always left me waiting with no answer nor solutions to my situation which was THE PAIN that I could NOT stand! Specially at the beginning of the accident... So, tired, stressed out, frustrated and desperate with the PAIN I thought I had enough of their game & injustice and I decided to hire an Attorney.
I call Rubinstein Law phone number I saw on TV and they refered me to
Remer & Georges-Pierre, PLLC Attorneys at Law.
The process began and my case was almost in the same stage when I tried to manage it on my own.
The company responsible for my slip/fall accident at work and the unlawful employment termination were not responding through their Insurance Company.
The adjuster wasn't answering the phone nor replying to any of the messages and emails the legal assistant from Remer & Georges-Pierre, PLLC Law Firm was leaving. It seems like they were doing/playing the same game to them once again!
So, the Mediation appointment arrived which I personally thought nothing special was going to happen or change due to the resistance and absence of the other party (The Company responsible).
So, I was waiting in the Conference room by myself and my Attorney arrived. He introduced himself as BRODY SHULMAN.
He gave me a bit of his background/experience and then he proceeded to explain my situation in details in order for me to understand every single aspect of it and its posibilities.
He made me feel confortable and the most important thing that ... I was in good hands!
The Mediation started and the Mediator was telling me how in disavantage I was against the other party making me feel and think I should give up!
I expressed my opinion on this situation and how this has affected me physically, mentally and emotionally. The Mediator reply:
That's why you should end this now
Deep inside me I didn't know what to do after I listened to the Mediator. The only thing I saw coming was...
A LONG dragging back and forward discussion with no end in it!
Then, something magical happens! It was to me anyway. My Attorney step up and said:
May I speak to my client for a minute please?
The Mediator replied: Of course. (leaving the room)
My Attorney BRODY SHULMAN talked to me and explained in details while we had a coffe break before we started de Mediation process he already had stepped up and talked to the WC representative to find out whether or not we could reach an agreement that would be acceptable for me.
Wow! I was totally AMAZED by how fast, professional and proactive this Attorney was!
I admit he looks kind of young but his abilities and professionalism go beyond his age!
I'm really pleased and satisfied with the outcome of this Mediation appointment obtained by my Attorney

I was involved in an accident and called Mr. Douglas and he said right from the time I called him that if the police called to have them call him and tell them that he was my attorney. This attorney answered all my calls right away without making me wait unless he was in court and then he called as soon as he got out. His office staff are nice and friendly. My husband hired attorney Douglas to represent him for a worker's compensation case. We were in touch with Mr. Douglas and his secretary for several months. He notified us that my husband's check would be ready on December 8th, 2017. The previous day, he told us he would not be in the office that day, nor would his secretary, so he would mail us the check. After we didn't receive it for several days, he told us he could put a stop payment on it. He claimed he needed to wait another week to have his bookkeeper issue another check. Then he was out of the office and we were told he was hospitalized. After a few days, he said he was out of the hospital but wouldn't be in the office for several more days. This was before the New Year, so he said his secretary and the bookkeeper were both on vacation. He said he would handle it first thing the morning after the New Year. We haven't heard from him since, he does not respond to messages or calls, and his office is closed. We are in the process of having him investigated by the Florida Bar Association.

He has not returned my phone call in over a month in regards to a traffic ticket I hired him to represent me for. His assistant is extremely rude and sarcastic. When you call, expect to be greeted with a belligerent New York attitude. He does not act in a client's BEST interest, he acts in his own best interest; doing only the bare minimum required by the professional standards for attorneys and taking your money to do such. I would never recommend him to anyone. His assistant needs a lesson in etiquette and professionalism. He is a prime representation of what gives lawyers a bad name.

Mr. Cohn was contacted after the settlement was signed and paid about an oversight and money that was not paid to us. He was informed that he still owed us several hundred dollars. Several calls and messages were left for him through his assistant 'Matey' however our calls were never returned and on 2 occasions, Matey was very rude and simply hung up on us. AVOID!
