Chelsea was a genuine gift as lawyer. I spoke with close to a dozen lawyers before finally retaining her services. Chelsea and her assistant Pheobe are incredibly professional. They're prompt with their responses and very knowledgeable. My divorce was looking to be a nightmare until Chelsea stepped in. With her assistance we were able to settle in a way that both my ex and I are satisfied with. She works well with judges, other lawyers, and with her clients. I cannot emphasize enough how much she helped me. I'll recommend her highly in the future.

I had the privilege of working with Brian Boender during an unfavorable series of events. For a time I was a legal assistant, so i have a fairly good sense when it comes to telling the difference between a great, mediocre, and lousy attorney. Derek Larwick is one of the best I have come across. He'll evaluate your case and give you an honest answer as to whether or not it would be prudent to move forward. No BS, no "ambulance chaser" mentality, just a straightforward, knowledgeable dude. His staff is great as well-- very responsive and sweet. My feelings about him were validated the day I walked into his office and saw what looked like a florists' shop more than an attorney's office. I asked about the numerous vases of flowers and was told that they were all from happy clients. Need I say more?

I've known of Jim Walsh since my High School days. He was a couple years ahead of me; I've always admired his demeanor and grit. You never think you'll need an attorney until you do. And I needed one a few years back. I was ticketed for a DUI that was not your usual DUI. I was eating dinner with an old flame who I knew for years. She worked as any ER nurse at a local hospital here. She was unhappy that I didn't want to take her back and resume our relationship. At the end of our meal, which included drinks (too many) she got up and went to the restroom. We payed the bill and went to the parking lot where she said she didn't want to come over to my house at that time. Got in my truck and pulled out on the main road. Looked ahead and wasn't shocked to see two cruisers no more than 100 yards down' the road. I knew immediately what had happened. She had called a police friend of hers from work turned me in to him. I drove by the cruisers (they were pointed away from the direction I was going) and they turned and started to follow me. No more than a mile down the road they illuminated and pulled me over. (I was so flustered I failed to signal a turn) Busted. I was incredibly upset about how this went down. A 50's year old man was now screwed. I called Jim and he met me. He helped fill out my initial paperwork and ordered my evidence for review. I was correct in my thinking I was set up. The police report confirmed this. Jim was incredible. He went with me to my court appearances and stood by me. The advice he gave me was spot-on. I wouldn't have made it through the process and might of even done some revenge type activities without him. He even called me nine months later and told me what to do to ensure I got my case dismissed ( after diversion and everything else). He truly cared for me. He was just what I needed. I can truly say that he was more than an attorney. A good, solid attorney (and friend) who payed attention to all the details and held me up through the entire process. I didn't expect this from a lawyer. But Jim is more than just a lawyer. His depth of experience ( he had worked for the same City that I was arrested in) was incredible. I can truly say I wouldn't have gotten through the process without him being right along with me. He's a good man.

Mr. Walsh and myself were involved in two auto accident cases. The first of the two accidents involved an Indochinese woman who was working in Corvallis where she was hit in a crosswalk as she crossed the street. The woman, a friend of mine, had extremely limited English skills. She ask me to assist her in the resolution of her situation. I selected Jim from the yellow pages for a consultation. Upon hearing the plight of this woman, who worked for minimum wage with no health or auto insurance and now hospitalize and unable to work. he drove to Corvallis with me to speak with this woman. He obtained the pertinent information and agreed to take the case for a significantly reduced fee. He worked diligently with myself to resolve the woman's claim. he was compassionate and caring as well as being a knowledgeable and dedicated attorney. The second incident, a head-on auto crash, involved myself. A car crossed the center medium and struck my car. I was not seriously injured, how ever I had a damaged knee, fractured ankle, a cracked rib as well as multiple cuts and bruises to my face, legs, and arms. Jim and his staff worked closely with me through the settlement process, keeping me informed as the claim progressed. Again, Jim demonstrated his knowledge of the law and his understanding of the claim process. As important as his excellent professional expertise, was his personal concern for me as an individual. I was not just a client. He always had time for me and my concerns. I can not express enough the manner in which Jim and his staff treated me. I highly recommend him as a lawyer and as caring compassionate human being. If need, would not hesitate in employing his services again.

I was rear ended by a driver while sitting on my motorcycle at a stop light . I sustained a herniated L4 and an impingement. Jim allowed and encouraged me to focus on my recovery, which, after all is the most important thing, while he and Nancy took care of managing the bills and the surgery related to the accident. Jim's counsel was invaluable to me, since I know next to nothing about the legal system. As we got closer to a settlement Jim worked with me to make sure that I was comfortable with the process and was clear on what should be expected. I truly felt like I had an advocate working with me at every step of the way. In the end, there were no surprises and I left the process feeling like we had done everything well and with integrity. I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Jim. I would highly recommend getting him onto your team.

I hired Juliana to help me with my SAIF claim. I injured by back, and SAIF accepted a strain. I had a lot more problems than that, and she got my other conditions accepted. She and her staff worked tirelessly on my case, answered my questions, and explained how the system works to me. Thanks to their work, I got a good permanent disability award and I am being retrained. At the end, I could not believe they had done all that work and because of the law, not get paid. In spite of that, Juliana and her whole staff were kind and gracious and treated me with respect at all times. If I ever need a lawyer again, she's the first call I'm going to make.

I have used Ralph for several civil cases where I was seeking damages. I was very pleased by Ralphs results and professionalism and his ability to communicate on a personal level . Some lawyers spend very little time learning about there client or actually hearing what a client says but not Ralph . He communicated effectively and always made sure I had a good understanding of what my choices were . He refused to settle for what seemed like a good amount but informed me that he believed I needed and deserved better for my long term effects of my damages . Mr. Kruse is first and foremost an outstanding professional. I incurred a speeding ticket while trying to pass an unsafe driver and avoid a situation where tailgating and oncoming traffic was trapping me in a dangerous situation. I looked for an attorney to represent me because I was informed by my insurance company that a moving vehicle violation would result in significant increases to my already expensive insurance bill. My first step was to ask an expert advice site and I was referred to three links including Arvo.com FindLaw.com -- major search engines for legal professionals. The triple searches yielded only one name: Daniel Kruse located in Eugene, Oregon which was a puzzling 3 hour drive from the coastal town in Oregon where I was required to be in court.
The search for that coastal town pulled up only Mr. Kruse's name and even indicated that the next professionals would be an additional 150 miles away. With no other known options I called his office.
Russell, Mr. Kruse's legal assistant, was very kind with my persistence. He patiently took my messages and conveyed them to Mr. Kruse. There were some urgency to my situation because there were only a few days left before my court date. Mr. Kruse called me at his first opportunity and I missed that call, but his voicemail was incredibly courteous and went a long way to assuaging some of the anxiety I felt knowing that I would at least be able to speak with illegal professional before my time in court. When we finally connected I understood from the caliber of work that he was reviewed on (and his reviews were outstanding) my situation was nowhere near deserving of his time, much less of his skill. But he treated me as if I were the most important client for those 18 powerful minutes while he quietly reminded me that I had a right to represent my side of the story and a right to have my case heard. He proceeded to ask for the salient points of my situation and then adroitly, unhurriedly, walked me through three possible scenarios.
The last one was the most viable for me and one that might yield the results that I needed with a strategy that maintained integrity for all involved, and was very proactive. As a classic overachiever, I love proactive.
I will not know the outcome of my situation until my court time this Monday. But more importantly, due to the consultation with Mr. Kruse, I now have a solid plan for how I can stand with integrity and proactively demonstrate sincere respect for all authorities involved, including the rule of law, while advocating for myself in this situation.
I don't know how it is that Mr. Kruse's name was the singular option generated by the three search engines but I am profoundly grateful for his humanity and expert professionalism in a situation that most legal professionals would have dismissed and ignored for lack of lucrative possibilities. And many thanks to Russell for his professional patience.

I was going through an emotional divorce and Chris was referred to me by a colleague. He kept me informed every step of the way and in moments when I had doubts, when I felt afraid, he made himself available to offer counsel and support. Robert Hamilton represented me in a personal injury case where I was hit by a car as a pedestrian. Anthony helped out with a false arrest case as a public defender and got me off on the charges. I thought I he did a great job of taking care of me. He convinced me that not all judges are bad. I guess some other people review attorneys based on if they won or lost. My case was such that Anthony could not have cared, but he gave my case an impartial look and even though I deserved criticism he only gave me constructive feedback.

I was a client of this lawyer, through the public defense program in Eugene. I found him to be unresponsive to the facts of my case, and initially unwilling to consult me on even the most basic facts of my case. He did not note or consider any of the information I provided to him (verbally) in our meeting. If I could afford representation I would not have given him even a first chance to meet with me. I would have left after speaking with him for about four minutes max, if I even considered hiring him in the first place. That is the truth. My experience with him was that bad and I found him to be that unprofessional. I could tell immediately he was going to ignore everything I said to him. It is not my job to coerce legal representation provided by the public into doing some work on my behalf. This attorney had taken on a responsibility to members of the public including me, and he is thus responsible for ensuring the American right to counsel as he can best provide it. He is either incompetent, completely, or flagrantly disrespecting his duty ethically as a public defender. Each individual he is assigned is equally entitled to counsel, and these are people that are coming to him with no other recourse. You would think that reality would elicit concern, but that was not my impression. My impression was that my counsel felt I did not deserve him or deserve counsel at all. If Anthony Rosta doesn't like his responsibility to the public, or can't provide counsel (competently) to every one of his clients, I believe he should quit. As his client it is my right to come forward with all the information I have about my charges and my case. My attorney should be willing to think creatively and problem solve about the facts of the case, both the facts I present and the facts the city presents. A part of representation is investigating and gathering facts. If an attorney won't go forward without proof or evidence of some kind from his clients, he should notify his clients immediately of that. Instead of immediately doing this with me and saving me some time he played mind-games, perhaps believing I was doing so as well. I experienced him as being image-obsessed, as if our meetings were somehow about him or what he would believe as an intelligent and experienced person and attorney. Yet it was not about him, and it didn't seem like he could see that. I was very disappointed with his counsel, and not only did he speak to me like a small child, he employed psychologically aggressive gaslighting techniques. Perhaps this is his way of communicating a different subtext I did not understand, but its effect was not to communicate anything at all except an unwillingness to work or see things from the clients' perspective. When someone has been through something upsetting or traumatic, the use of aggressive or confrontational techniques that directly negate the clients stated version of events can distort the truth from the client, or the ability of the client to recall correct information, which is not what you want. It is stressful to be repeatedly contradicted and denied when in the presence of your supposed ally who is supposed to be helping you further your interests. I have already thought I recalled information that was not correct at least twice because of the disrespectful manner in which I was engaged by two separate attorneys with Rosta and Connelly. I hope it is not this bad everywhere but I suspect it is. Without legal counsel I do not know how I will be able to proceed.

Did an initial hour consult with Robert. He felt we had a negligence case and asked for all records to evaluate further. Once retrieved 3-4 weeks later, he asked for a regurgitated summary. I was shocked that he admitted he does not take notes. Bottom line, this guy is lazy and in the end, most likely not the best choice for representation.

I wrote his office, told them what happened in the ER, mentioned how I was misdiagnosed by the doctor (and this was after I specifically told the ER Doctor what the problem most likely was, and that I needed to be referred to a couple specialists), then I was threatened by the ER Doctor, who stated she would withhold the referrals I needed to fix my issue, unless I selected a primary care provider of their choosing, since I didn't have one yet.
I didn't want to choose one, as I had just the day prior to being seen, finally received health insurance from my work, and was not sure if they would require me to select a primary care provider of the insurances choosing or not, since a lot of them do require in-network doctors only, which I told her and the administrator that was with her when they forced me to choose one or not get the referrals I required.
His company stated while they were sorry it happened, his office was not going to represent me.
Excerpt from his offices response: (This a direct cut and paste) "Your good fortune to have survived all you went through is why you do not have a case to pursue with our office. We see “almost died” cases regularly. They stem from traumatic events, bad medical attention and wrong diagnosis. But the patients, like yourself, survived and escaped significant injury caused by the substandard care. The damages are insufficient to merit a case. Glad you are doing much better. You have two yrs. to file a malpractice claim from the date of your poor care should you elect to pursue this matter further. It just won’t be with our firm . Thanks for your inquiry."
So, correct me if I am wrong, but, his website specifically states they go after bad misdiagnosis and bad ER situations, which mine was, yet, his office won't touch this? Excerpt direct from his website, cut and pasted:

Errors in surgery and retained surgical instruments
Radiology and anesthesia errors
Emergency room mistakes (This one was relevant to my situation)

Seems that perhaps his office or he doesn't care about "hard to work" cases, just the ones they feel will be able to outfit their lifestyle with fast/easy money only.
I don't recommend anyone to use his offices services, especially if they never help those that have been rooked by the system that his office claims they go after, and don't.
