Anyone struggling with wrongful termination or felt discriminated against, I highly recommend Matt and Adam Ruggle. My entire experience from day one has been wonderful. If I ever had questions or didn't understand any part of the case I was able to reach out and talk to Adam right away. He explained things to me in ways I understood and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. They didn't pressure me into making a decision I wasn't happy with. They fought hard to get me everything I deserved and won! I couldn't be happier!

I personally have used Peter over the last 12 years two times with two very different cases. I'm so grateful I found him because he is extremely knowledgeable. With the first case it was long and and a lot of work, however Peter was by my side the entire time and never gave up. We won both cases with his expertise. He's very prompt at answering any questions and getting back to you if he's not available. He always made me feel like I was important and not just another client. He's very professional. I would absolutely refer him to anyone. And I already have. Thank you Peter!

Have you ever found yourself hopeless after a situation you felt powerless in? I was in that position until I met Attorney Peter Samuel. From the initial consultation I realized that not only is he very intelligent, but Mr. Samuel also stays informed of new laws which is important in any litigation. I have full faith and trust in him and would highly recommend his services to any individual that needs to feel empowered again. He is compassionate, respectful and a very sincere human being that has your best interests first. Finding this qualities in any lawyer is near impossible - but when you have people like Peter, there is no need to keep searching. He is THE attorney to know.

Absolutely horrible money hungry attorney! Lazy doesn’t even begin to describe him, I urge everyone to file a complaint against him with bar! I will be suing him for not doing his job and requesting sanctions! I have never met such a greedy incompetent man. If you don’t take my word for it just call him… you’ll see I’m right!!! I read the previous reviews warning me, but because of a friend I went against my instincts. It was a complete waste of time. He sent such a vague demand letter the insurance was confused to why we would sue them. He didn’t include anything not even the police report or photos. I can’t wait to get him in front of judge!!! He’s uneducated, unintelligent, slow to respond, and can’t even articulate a demand letter correctly. Good lord I would hated to see him in court. He’s an embarrassment! Don’t give this man a penny

Mr. Meissner and his staff have been the most competent and attentive law office I have ever had the pleasure to work with! From the very beginning, Mr. Meissner helped keep my head above water in negotiating and securing money for my new car. I was in awe while listening to him speak with the insurance company and knew I truly had someone on my side that knows his business. He is very transparent with me and answers all my questions before I even have to ask. I had many informative and delightful conversations with Heather and Frank for updates on the case and to soothe my nerves. I don't think I can thank Heather enough! The entire staff always took the time to listen to my needs and returned my messages promptly. They also helped me get in touch with competent physical therapists to return my condition to 100% injury-free. I forget how nervous I was at first thinking that I would have my back problems forever so I have tremendous amounts of gratitude for their keeping my health a priority and making sure I had proper ongoing treatment. Although I never ever want to be in another car accident, I will certainly recommend Mr. Meissner's services to friends and families should they need it. I am so appreciative for the time, care, and effort the entire office put into making me physically whole again including a settlement I am very happy about!

I was a passenger in a car that was involved in a accident. The driver ran over a center-divide and took out a couple of street signs, the car wasn't damaged very bad. After arguing with the drivers insurance company for 8 months, they offered me $1000 dollars, at this point I was exhausted and in pain and ready to settle, then I spoke to Mr. Fogy. Mr. Fogy got me on the road to recovery. I went to physical therapy for about six months, while my case was going through the proper channels and in the end, I received a check for $32,860.00, TAX FREE!!!!!!!! Currently I have a workman's compensation case, the defendants attorney offered me like $1,500. Because the case is still active, I don't want to disclose the numbers we are looking at now, BUT, it is way more than what i was offered. WAY! MORE! I am extremely happy with the results that Mr. George Fogy has delivered. I refer Mr. Fogy to all my friends and family.

I have known Tom for several years now. My wife and I put our confidence in Tom to get our estate documents in order. He did the job in a timely and efficient manner. Most of all, he cut the number of pages in the documents in half. Now our papers are directed to our needs, not simply boilerplate pages filled with irrelevant material. Thanks, Tom.

If you need legal representation after an auto accident, call Ashton & Price!! I reached out the day after my accident, and spoke with Mr. Ashton. The very next day, they had set me up with a chiropractor and just a few days after that, I had my appointment set for my MRI. Mr. Ashton and his staff were very responsive and friendly, promptly returning calls sometimes within minutes. If I ever get in an accident again, I will definitely be calling them back again. I highly recommend Ashton & Price for all your personal injury needs.

Craig Ashton has anger management issues. Craig hired me to clean his pool. About six months later, I suffered a personal injury, and Craig elected to assist me. In his backyard, Craig told me he thinks he can get around the contract I signed, wanted to see me in his office, and sent me an email. Craig never sent me the email. I waited patiently for three months before inquiring again. I reminded Craig I never received his email and requested to schedule an office visit that he initiated, and then Craig blew up on me, called me, and started screaming and yelling, and wouldn't let me talk. He has completely inaccurate complaints about my billing system and demands an itemized invoice after I told him every single invoice I have ever sent him has always been itemized; he never clicked the QuickBooks invoice to review the itemization. He claimed I was billing him for nonsense; however, I sent him monthly PAID RECEIPTS FOR ONE YEAR OF FREE POOL SERVICE because he elected to assist me in this case. Craig won't confront an issue as it arises; he will keep quiet to himself, drink alcohol, wait months, and then blow up on you. I should sue Craig for making matters worse with my dental case. Unprofessional. Let me down. He cannot control his anger. He fired the best pool service he ever had—a terrible person. Stay away from this man. He ruined my life. I am compelled to express my extreme frustration and distress over Dr. Badyal's "all on 6" dental procedure performed by Dr. Badyal. The positioning of my teeth is catastrophically incorrect, leaving me in constant pain and discomfort. My teeth are positioned grotesquely too far forward, creating a dreadful "shelf" that traps food between my gums and the teeth. This has led to severe irritation, bleeding, and unbearable discomfort—even from soft foods like bananas and sandwiches. Despite my relentless efforts to address this issue—through countless emails, letters, texts, consultations, and even a formal demand letter from an attorney—Dr. Badyal has flatly refused to accept any responsibility. He absurdly claims I requested my teeth be moved forward, even though I clearly voiced concerns about insufficient tongue space and the teeth being too far back. When they were eventually brought forward, it was an egregious error, and Dr. Badyal's refusal to make a slight adjustment to correct this has been nothing short of infuriating. To make matters worse, Dr. Badyal forced me to sign a contract under duress, falsely stating my approval of the work, despite my explicit objections. After the appointment, he cynically proposed a fix by moving the teeth "slightly backward" for an additional $10,000—exactly what I had initially requested but was previously denied. His blatant refusal to correct the issue, coupled with his disregard for my suffering, has only compounded my frustration. Adding insult to injury, the assistant who performed the majority of my fittings was dismissed immediately after my consultation, and Dr. Badyal now feigns ignorance, claiming it's not his fault because he didn’t personally make the teeth. His refusal to take responsibility and his continued stonewalling, while demanding more money for a fix he had previously denied, have left me in an untenable situation. This ordeal has been an absolute nightmare, and I am demanding immediate and appropriate action to rectify this appalling situation.

What a Personal Injury Lawyer Can Do for You

A personal injury lawyer specializes in helping individuals who have been physically or emotionally injured due to the negligence or wrongful actions of another party. Whether you've been hurt in a car accident, suffered a slip and fall, or experienced medical malpractice, a personal injury attorney works to ensure you receive fair compensation for your injuries. They can help you recover damages for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related expenses.

Personal injury lawyers act as your advocate, navigating the legal system on your behalf and dealing with insurance companies to ensure you get the compensation you deserve. They understand how to handle complex legal matters and help you avoid common pitfalls.

When Should I Hire a Personal Injury Lawyer?

Hiring a personal injury lawyer can be beneficial in many situations where you've been harmed due to another's negligence. Some key scenarios include:

  • Severe injuries: If you've suffered significant or permanent injuries that result in substantial medical bills, a lawyer can help ensure you are fairly compensated.
  • Long-term or permanent disability: Injuries that affect your ability to work or require ongoing medical treatment are complex, and a lawyer can help estimate long-term damages.
  • Disputed liability: If the responsible party or their insurance company denies liability for your injury, a lawyer can gather evidence and advocate on your behalf.
  • Insurance company lowball offers: Insurers often try to settle personal injury claims for as little as possible. A lawyer can negotiate to get you a fair settlement.
  • Medical malpractice claims: Injuries caused by a doctor, nurse, or healthcare provider due to negligence require a personal injury lawyer experienced in medical malpractice law.
  • Exposure to hazardous substances: If you've been injured due to exposure to toxins, chemicals, or dangerous substances, a lawyer can help pursue legal action.

Hiring a lawyer early in the process is crucial, especially if you're unsure of the full extent of your injuries or damages.

What Does a Personal Injury Lawyer Do?

A personal injury lawyer provides a wide range of services to guide you through the legal process and maximize your compensation. They can:

  • Evaluate your case: A lawyer will assess the strength of your claim and determine whether you have a viable case.
  • Investigate the incident: Gathering evidence such as police reports, witness statements, medical records, and expert opinions is key to building a strong case.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies: Lawyers handle communications with insurance companies to ensure you receive a fair settlement and aren't taken advantage of.
  • File a lawsuit if necessary: If a fair settlement can't be reached, the lawyer can file a personal injury lawsuit on your behalf and represent you in court.
  • Help calculate damages: This includes medical expenses, lost wages, future medical needs, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
  • Prepare and file legal documents: Lawyers handle all the paperwork and deadlines associated with your case, including filing motions and discovery requests.
  • Represent you at trial: If your case goes to trial, the lawyer will argue your case before a judge and jury to obtain the compensation you deserve.

How Are Personal Injury Lawyers Paid?

Most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. This means they only get paid if they win your case, either through settlement or a court judgment. Here’s how it works:

  • Contingency fee percentage: The lawyer will take a percentage of the settlement or award, typically between 25% and 40%, depending on the complexity of the case and the stage at which it's resolved.
  • Costs and expenses: In addition to the contingency fee, the lawyer may deduct other costs associated with the case, such as filing fees, expert witness fees, and court costs. These expenses are often advanced by the lawyer and repaid out of the settlement.
  • No upfront payment: Since the lawyer’s fee is contingent on winning, you usually don’t pay anything upfront.

Always discuss the lawyer’s fee structure during your consultation to avoid surprises.

How Much Does a Personal Injury Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a personal injury lawyer depends on the specifics of your case and the lawyer’s fee structure. However, since most personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, the amount you pay will depend on the outcome of your case. Here are some general guidelines:

  • Contingency fees: Typically range from 25% to 40% of the settlement or award. The percentage may increase if the case goes to trial or requires an appeal.
  • Other costs: In addition to the lawyer's fee, you may be responsible for case-related expenses such as expert witness fees, medical record retrieval fees, and court costs. These are often deducted from your settlement, so you won't have to pay out of pocket.

While the cost may seem high, hiring an experienced lawyer can significantly increase the amount you recover, making it a worthwhile investment.

Top Questions to Ask a Personal Injury Lawyer

Before hiring a personal injury lawyer, it's essential to ask questions to ensure you’re choosing the right representation. Here are some important questions to ask:

  1. What is your experience with personal injury cases like mine?
Make sure the lawyer has handled cases involving similar injuries or accidents.
  2. What is your fee structure?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges a contingency fee and what percentage they will take from any settlement or award.
  3. How long will my case take?
While it's hard to predict, a lawyer can give you an estimate based on similar cases they’ve handled.
  4. How often do you take cases to trial?
Some lawyers prefer to settle quickly, while others are more comfortable going to court if necessary.
  5. Will you personally handle my case?
In larger firms, junior lawyers or paralegals may handle some aspects of your case, so it's important to know who will be managing your claim.
  6. Do you have references from past clients?
Speaking with past clients can provide valuable insight into the lawyer’s effectiveness and professionalism.

How to Check the Credibility of a Personal Injury Lawyer

To ensure you’re hiring a credible personal injury lawyer, take the following steps:

  • Check bar association records: Verify that the lawyer is licensed and in good standing with your state’s bar association. Look for any history of disciplinary actions.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Online platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, and Google reviews can provide insight into the lawyer's reputation and client satisfaction.
  • Look at their track record: Review their experience with personal injury cases, particularly how many cases they’ve successfully resolved or taken to trial.
  • Ask for references: Credible lawyers should be willing to provide references from past clients who can vouch for their work.
  • Check professional memberships: Lawyers who are members of respected organizations, like the American Association for Justice (AAJ), often have a solid reputation in the field.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To get the most out of your first meeting with a personal injury lawyer, prepare the following:

  • Detailed account of the accident: Write down everything you remember about the incident, including dates, times, and locations. Include any witnesses or police reports if available.
  • Medical records and bills: Bring any documentation of your injuries, treatments, and associated medical costs.
  • Insurance information: Provide your insurance details and any communication you’ve had with the other party’s insurance company.
  • Employment and income records: If your injury has impacted your ability to work, bring proof of lost wages or reduced earning capacity.
  • Photos or videos: If you have photos of the accident scene, your injuries, or property damage, bring them to your consultation.
  • Questions for the lawyer: Prepare a list of questions to ask, including how the lawyer will handle your case and what you can expect in terms of timeline and outcome.

By preparing thoroughly for your first consultation, you’ll help the lawyer understand your case more quickly and get a better sense of your legal options.
