I called Barrios & Machado one year after my car accident. I was getting nowhere with the insurance companies and I knew it was time to consult a lawyer. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The lawyer, Guillermo Machado called me back within the hour. He started by telling me that the call was free and he would not pressure me into anything. He would listen and then offer whatever words of advice or encouragement he could, which is exactly what he did. He told me he was a Christian lawyer, which was good know as I am a Christian woman. He spent over an hour with me on the phone. He set my mind at ease about many things including my concerns, and about the lawyers I had already consulted with. He told me he wouldn’t take my case, not because he didn’t want to but because he was unable to take it on, as he does a different type of case now. He told me about the other two lawyers I spoke to recently and that they were both excellent and that I would be in great hands with either. It’s refreshing to talk to a lawyer, who doesn’t have a hidden agenda. I could tell he was genuine and honest. He took over an hour of his holiday weekend to help me. Avoid This Law Firm – A Terrible Experience
I strongly advise against using this law firm—it’s a complete scam! I paid them $3,000 to have my son’s immigration case handled by Attorney Mike Sethi. After receiving the payment, they did almost nothing. The paralegal was always “too busy” to answer calls, and when we urgently needed legal advice, the attorney failed to provide responsible or well-researched guidance.
Instead of thoroughly studying the law, Mr. Sethi gave us incorrect and harmful advice. This mistake causing serious complications for the case.
Mr. Sethi may attempt to dismiss this review with excuses or gaslighting, but the reality is clear: his lack of diligence, legal knowledge, and professionalism in immigration law has caused irreparable damage.
Please don’t waste your time and money here, or risk jeopardizing your case due to Mr. Sethi’s negligence and incompetence.

Avoid This Law Firm – A Terrible Experience
I strongly advise against using this law firm—it’s a complete scam! I paid them $3,000 to have my son’s immigration case handled by Attorney Mike Sethi. After receiving the payment, they did almost nothing. The paralegal was always “too busy” to answer calls, and when we urgently needed legal advice, the attorney failed to provide responsible or well-researched guidance.
Instead of thoroughly studying the law, Mr. Sethi gave us incorrect and harmful advice. This mistake causing serious complications for the case.
Mr. Sethi may attempt to dismiss this review with excuses or gaslighting, but the reality is clear: his lack of diligence, legal knowledge, and professionalism in immigration law has caused irreparable damage.
Please don’t waste your time and money here, or risk jeopardizing your case due to Mr. Sethi’s negligence and incompetence.
