I would give this firm more than 5 stars if I could! Can't say enough how wonderful Patrick and his para-legal, Irene, have been to me in dealing with my case. They walked me through every step of the way. Patiently answering all my questions and working out a great solution to my case. Approximately 2 years ago I was a passenger in my husband’s car when we were rear ended at a stop light.
After the accident I had x-rays taken at a local hospital, had an MRI done, saw two doctors, went through physical therapy and paid all the bills associated with the physical damage done to my body after the accident.
In order to obtain compensation for my expenses, because the person who hit us was underinsured, I made an appointment with Mr. Griff Tonkin.
Griff and his staff walked me through a deposition, obtained a settlement reimbursing the hospital, doctors, the X-Ray company for the MRI, and my physical therapist with a professionalism I would expect from an attorney and his staff.
His office kept me informed of the status of my claims via phone and email. Griff answered all my questions in terms a lay person could understand.
I have referred friends and acquaintances to Mr. Tonkin and will continue to do so.

I had just lost my husband a few months before I was in a hit-and-run accident. My car was totaled. I was pretty banged up nothing serious but pretty banged up. I was getting no answers from his insurance because he was refusing to answer any phone calls. I was still pretty emotional wreck from losing my husband and this Just sent me over the edge. I had never had to have any type of lawyer services before so I did not know what to do. My daughter suggested Barr & Mudford. She went in there with me. Let me just say Katie Barr is the easiest person to talk to. She never made me feel stupid. She just sat there and listened to what Ihad to say, and I’m sure she did not need to know all of it. Anyway, she was just a fabulous person to deal with. Her staff was incredible Everybody kept me up-to-date on everything And ended up getting me a Very impressive settlement . Never trust this organization. They took a case, waited until it was too late, and then told me they couldn't take the case because they were friends with the person I was seeking to sue. They caused my case to run out of time by doing this, and I'm certain it was done in purpose. They are not trustworthy. Beware.

I explained my concerns to the team and they gave in great detail how the process works. I gave them my trust and it was returned in spades. Best attorney in Shasta County hands down. I’ve had 4 different family law attorneys. I should have not wasted my time and money on the other attorneys. His legal team is the best as well.
Andreas knows the law and knows how to apply it. He is well respected with the local community. He will negotiate the best outcome possible and does care about his clients. He also practices personal injury.
Do not waste your time and money with some of these other attorneys in town who will just drag your case on with continuances on top of not knowing the law. You will wish you went to Andreas from the beginning! I should have 4-years ago!

I hired Mr. Ogilvie to represent me in a family law case and a Civil lawsuit. Basically I ended up representing myself because Mr. Ogilvie didn't take the time. So much so that he allowed the other sides attorney, Mike Darlington, to file fraudulent documents for his client and Mr. Ogilvie signed off on them, obviously because he either never bothered to read them or didn't care or both. He appeared in court for me only long enough to postpone hearings and trial until we finally settled and never had a trial. The settlement was written by me and a different attorney, not Ogilvie and not the opposing sides attorney, Mike Darlington. Mr. Ogilvie is a nice man but I think overwhelmed and perhaps past his prime. I would love my money back but too much trouble to take the time to pursue at this point. I would never hire him again or recommend him to anyone who actually wants an attorney who cares and will work for them. You will be very disappointed with Mr. Ogilvie.

Mr. Ogilvie did not present any of the evidence that I researched and presented him with. He made no attempt to research any of the evidence on his own eg. wifes earnings. Made no objections did not stand up for me when the judge said she did not believe I couldn't hear.
