I was hesitant to engage a lawyer after my accident, but over time I realized I wouldn't be able to manage it on my own.
Jeff Kratz has been amazing- talked me through every step, kept me up to date, and basically did ALL the work.
My case was not necessarily cut and dry as there was a delay before the medical symptoms began. Nevertheless, they believed me & persevered. I am receiving an adequate settlement which just would not have happened otherwise.

My wife and I were in an all-of-a-sudden horrible and complex situation through no fault of our own (which I won’t be getting into here). We exhausted several family and friend recommendations for legal counsel in this area but it seemed that no one could/would help with our case. Then, after seeing the high Google review ratings, we decided to take a chance on MDR who were at least willing to meet with me. About five minutes into the meeting, realizing the complexity of the situation, the guy I was meeting with says, “I think I need to get my boss.” Enter Andy…
Within one hour I walked out with a cohesive plan of action, and (despite MONTHS of research on my own) a hundred times more understanding of the legal circumstances we were in.
Andy ended up taking over our case and delivered like you read about.

When I talked to one of their lawyers she was very rude and belittled me for not knowing how to approach the situation for workman’s comp. I was trying to find the right dates on my paper work. As a result of that I was immediately judged and pretty much declared me as being wrong and not knowing what I’m talking about. I’ve never felt more alone and disrespected by someone I was trying to seek help from, after talking with her. I’m really in a hard position and I am confused about how to approach this situation. One of the doctors forgot to include some important documents and items in the medical report and it caused my claim to be denied. So the lawyer immediately thought I was lying even though I have PROOF I’m right about the doctor not including the right medical notes. I kept messing up the dates because I’ve lost so much sleep and energy my mind is crumbling. All I wanted was some guidance and after talking with this law firm, they made me feel as if I’m not important and I was just seeking money from this. I need serious help and I truly am having hardships. I will always remember talking with her, for that was the day I lost hope with humanity and people. I can’t take much more and that was the icing on the cake. Not to mention it’s causing problems at home arguing with my fiancée on what I’m going to do now. I know I’m not smart in the slightest way but I know being treated like that was disgusting. I wish I could remember her name but again I’m having a lot trouble trying to put this to together. I know I am not 'suppose to say this' but had David Shoen been my attorney, I am sure results would have been so different. Due to be being so harmed by a surgeon, I just knew I was about to become so sick and did so I was desperate to beat the clock, I signed with some horrid lawyer, who had no clue about med. mal. so instead he would just insult the victum. When I spoke with David, it was already too late for me I was already signed and some scary lawyer who was clueless. David Schoen instead of just having me sign, no on the phone he was questioning me in the right way, also a little smart humor, not just about to have me sign on the line, or get involved with a client who was he didn't believe in. He had moved to VT right around the time I found him on Avvo. VT you are lucky to have a David Ian Schoen, Esq., a real lawyer in the best way.

I hired James for an unusual case and he was superb. He listened...REALLY listened, then he asked questions, presented multiple options and allowed me to make the decision on the course of action. Once I did, he methodically prepared prior to court. He compiled evidence, established timelines and culled the information according to how pertinent and impactful it would be. In court he was articulate and firm without being overly aggressive. During cross examination he showed how, when and where the plaintiff had lied. I received an outcome beyond what I hoped for. While the circumstances of hiring James were tough, his work was beyond reproach. I highly recommend him.

I've hired Stark Law to represent me on 2 real estate transactions. They were incredibly responsive, (mostly) easy to work with, and came highly recommended from my real estate agents. So why 1 star? One highly concerning episode: Stark Law mishandled my escrow funds (they inappropriately returned escrow funds to the sellers, and when it came time for them to send me the $$ they were supposed to have held in escrow, the money was not there). Rather than owning up to their mistake and assuring me they'd make things right, the Stark Law team tried to power play me and convince me that they were in the right. I had to re-send them the signed documents from the closing and chains of emails. With much resistance and deception from Stark Law (and many follow ups on my part), I did finally get my money back, but they never owned up to their mistake. I would not hire them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

We sold our house by owner--and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we wouldn't have been able to do it as successfully and easily as we did if it wasn't for Stark Law. I was injured in an automobile accident. The insurance company was tossing me up and down. A friend recommended a very “famous” Burlington, VT Attorney to me. I worked with this Attorney and his partner for more than one year and started distrusting them because it appeared they were always protecting the insurance company instead of being sympathetic to my cause. I dumped the famous Attorney and “googled” other trial attorneys in our area. I liked Todd Schlossberg’s description of “Personalized Attention” so I called him. I was injured on my motorcycle in a hit and run. Offer from my insurance company was completely inappropriate so it was time to lawyer up. Found Todd's ad in the phone book and saw that his web site was very professional. Initial meeting with Todd found him to be genuinely concerned for me as well as confirming that he is a very knowledgeable attorney. Since I had to go after my own insurance company, the statute of limitations in VT is extended to six years. Todd worked tirelessly every step of the way and always kept me informed of events and contacts with the insurance company. The insurance company waited until the absolute end of the statute but Todd was there for me. Todd got me a great settlement and handled the insurance company masterfully. Todd is an absolute professional and extremely knowledgeable. Hopefully I won't have another injury like that, but if I need him, I'm calling Todd.

Mr. Langrock treated my son as his own, and fought for him just the same. The first lawyer we had was in over his head and looked at me like my honor roll student is going to jail for a long time, even after showing him the evidence we had. We fired him and hired Mr.Langrock, and were very grateful he took our case. He told me, trust me, It’s going to take time but believe I know your son is innocent and we will get through this. It was hard dealing with an incompetent states attorney (DW), but Mr.Langrock kept his composure. In the end my son was unscathed, and Mr.Langrock was true to his word. I am forever indebted to him for all he did for my family. It’s very scary when you know your son is innocent and the courts were so back logged that to the judge and States Attorney it was like moving cows through a parlor, they treated everyone as guilty. Very eye opening and I can only wonder and weep at how many innocent sons, daughters, fathers etc that couldn’t afford a good lawyer are now sitting in jail or convicted of bogus charges. If you are innocent, Langrock is the man you want. He will fight for you because he knows how many people get wrongly convicted and feels it’s his duty as a lawyer to make sure the truth is known. Thank you Mr.Langrock, I can sleep good at night again! I’ll never forget the first time walking into court with you after we fired the first lawyer. All of the sudden there was respect and 2 state’s attorney’s because they knew they were in for it when Langrock walked in. Very quick witted and not to be pushed around. We can’t thank you enough! I was in need of a lawyer for legal representation during a divorce and family court. What I got was someone that treated me as a friend that seemed to have know me forever, Austin truly has his clients best interests at heart, and he will fight for you as if you were part of his family. I have hired Mr. gray on a few occasions that ranged from a simple Quick Claim Deed so I could legally add my new wife onto a property I had previously owned before marriage, to navigating through an eviction process in order to have a tenant removed from my rental property.
Each time I contacted and worked with Mr. Gray I found him to be very curious and helpful in navigating the legal system. I also found Mr. Gray to be quite clear with explaining the options as well as focused on what the desired outcome was while reassuring me that he would handle the tough stuff.

I called upon Matthew D. Anderson in the winter of 2013 to handle a charge against me from a couple years back. Matt was very responsive and immediately gave me a summary of what I should expect in the proceedings. Matt kept communication open and displayed a positive attitude from the get-go. This particular case I was wrongly accused and felt I needed excellent representation. I have received such representation and Matt has gone above and beyond my expectations. I'm a single mother with one child and was in a very serious car accident in 2000.
