I just settled a dispute with my former landlord over prepaid rents and rent deposits. The landlord had previously agreed to release me from my lease so that I could purchase a home.
Shortly after I terminated my lease and moved out, the landlord began stringing me along saying that her attorneys (a high-power firm in Sarasota) had told her that she could keep all of my prepaid rents and deposits and return nothing to me. We are talking to an excess of $13,000, so I contacted Attorney Derek DiPasquale based upon his Avvo reviews. Mr. DiPasquale was able to quickly get me a very favorable resolution without the need to go to court. Attorney DiPasquale was always available to respond to my questions and concerns, but more importantly, he provided me with excellent legal guidance. He definitely knows his legal subject matter, and was fully prepared to handle my case. He also knows his way around the local legal circles, and I found him to be very fair, honest, and knowledgeable.
I am very pleased with Attorney DiPasquale, and will re commend him to anyone who needs a high-quality legal mind in his corner. In fact, when my situation was resolved, I grabbed several of his business cards to pass along to my friends, and more importantly, to keep for myself, should I need to speak with an attorney in the future.
In my opinion, Attorney DiPasquale is one of the best attorneys that I have encountered in my 56 year old life which includes my 24 year federal law enforcement officer career.

I used Mr. Fleck for my divorce and he was excellent in making sure I was protected. I recommended him to a friend for his divorce and his guidance was flawless. I recommended him again to another friend for bankruptcy and he protected him without fail. Scott is no run of the mill attorney. He helped us with a very complex and tricky situation that involved multiple lawyers, a guardianship, a divorce, and a foreclosure. He represented our ward in the foreclosure matter. He did a great job coordinating with the other lawyers and kept us fully informed along the way. As guardians we take our responsibility to protect the interests of our ward (who is also our son) very seriously. Scott understood this right from our initial consultation. The end results were the best that we could have hoped for and he was the one who delivered them. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

We filed counterclaims against the mortgage company that was threatening foreclosure on us after they had promised (on paper) and failed to restructure our loan. The legal process took nearly 1 year, but was a bargain when one considers that during that period I had no mortgage payments. We went to mediation and the mortgage company backed down, modified our loan balance in our favor and gave us a below market interest rate. Victory to Counsel!!!...and us of course.

He told us he was going to file an action but it has been months and he has done nothing we know about. He told us he could keep the money and do nothing. I just called this morning to find out if this office handled a landlord tenant breach of contract and no one would even tell me yes or no unless I paid a $250 consultation fee! The receptionist was pretty rude and dismissive. Other reviews seem to be positive having spoken to attorney Nelson himself. Very poor customer service or should I say lack of. Maybe she is having a bad Monday morning!
