I hired Mr Norman for a DUI issue I was involved with in the MD court system. He immediately told me he was not familiar with the judges in my county and didn't specialize in my specific type of case. He then offered to help me locate someone who was. I retained his services anyway and he appeared to work twice as hard as the oposition lawyers to compensate for his lack of comfort in that particular area. By the time we went into negotiations he knew the issues better than the other law team.
He went out and researched the issues and reported back to me with options. He brought in experts he found to bolster my case. He was willing to go to court if necessary, which many lawyers are not willing to do. I was impressed with his work habits and straight shooting approach and appreciated his honesty.

I really like Carl, both personally and professionally. He understands the legal process and the impact it has on litigants. In that regard, his clients are well prepared for court appearances and the challenges the opposing party's counsel will present.
Carl has sufficient family law litigation experience to do a risk-benefit analysis prior to litigation/settlement. His projections, based on my experience, were generally accurate. Carl was able to negotiate a generous settlement on my behalf. I would highly recommend him to anyone with an actionable issue in Family Court.

I rely on Carl Heckert, for my legal counsel, he earned my trust initially by handling my divorce, property settlement, and child custody proceedings. Mr. Rhodunda jr. has been my go to guy on everything from the mistakes I made in my childhood to the tragedies I have suffered as an adult. There was a time I had money on retainer with him and a family member was in need of representation. I spoke to Mr. Rhodunda Jr. about how if the family member needed anything (representation) to just go ahead and give it to her. I wasn't clear about how I meant for if she needed anything for her own representation he should give it to her. The family member not only used it on herself ,but also on others. When I asked Rhodunda Jr. what was left on retainer and he was explaining where the money had gone I told him about the misunderstanding. Even though I told him I thought I was to blame for not making it clear he still repaid all of the money used in ways I didn't intend it to be used. He didn't have to do that. I think he did it because he felt that's what was the rite thing to do at the time. When I lost loved ones he offered his condolences. Through all of the more personal credit I've given him I have forgotten to mention the years of my life he has saved me from losing because of his knowledge and ability. As long as he is in practice I will be his client. I could write pages of good things but I think I've made my point. He is a great lawyer and an amazing man who will always have my respect.

March 05, 2016 was a day I will never forget. I was a passenger in our family car, when suddenly we were hit by another car. It wasn't long I realized I would need legal help. I researched Attorneys, and called a few. When I called Mr. Carey's law firm, I liked that they put the client first, Miss Carla told me that they would have to check to make sure that there was no conflict of interest with any of their other clients....Wow. I received a call back late that afternoon informing me that they could set up the consultation with Mr. Carey. Our consultation went well and Mr. Carey made me feel at ease. He walked me through everything from beginning to end, I signed the paperwork and Blake Carey was now representing me. I was thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and mannerisms. As time went on and surgery passed, then recovery, Blake kept in touch, giving status reports as well as showing a genuine interest in my well being.
