Our experience with Elder Law Lawyers in Ft. Mitchell has been nothing but positive. Their free no obligation Elder Law workshop at the Kenton County Library with Matthew Smith was very eye opening and very instrumental in getting us to move forward. Matthew was great mixing a little humor in with a very important subject matter and kept things interesting. We scheduled a consultation with them to have our Wills, Advanced Directives etc., taken care of and the process was seamless. Our friends who attended the same workshop with us also made an appointment and used their services. We worked with Shelley Dowell and it was a pleasure! She is very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. She offered great insight in helping us make decisions on what we felt was right for our family. This company was selected by the buyer when we sold our home. We were supposed to close on the 18th. But, due to our relocation, I signed all the seller-related documents on the 14th with a mobile attorney sent by the closing company. On the 18th morning we were informed that the buyer's loan was not finalized. Terry Monnie failed to inform this to us until the day of closing. Then, on the 19th morning we were informed that the documents that I signed were missing. Even though Terry Monnie charged us for mobile attorney service and document delivery, mobile attorney had put those documents in US mail and was missing. As a result, we had to get documents notarized again overnight those (the company paid the overnight mailing cost), and the closing was postponed further. This negatively impacted our ability close our new home purchase on time and created an enormous amount of stress and disruptions to our work and our lives. This is the fifth house we've bought/sold, so this is the 10th closing company that we've worked with. This company is extremely irresponsible and unprofessional and I honestly feel that they should not be in this business. For full transparency I want to say that they refunded the mobile attorney fees but kept the $40 delivery charge even though the documents were mailed through USPS.
