I feel very fortunate to have met Kokie through my son who asked the Senior Project Manager of the utility company which he worked for for a referral. The Project Manager had utilized Kokie's services for utility right-of-way negotiations.
I needed someone to complete my father's probate action that had stalled. It was a very complex probate that involved the sale of real property. When I first met with Kokie, she volunteered to pick up the case file from the previous attorney. Kokie immediately took charge of my father's estate and through her legal expertise and knowledge she reworked a complex and lengthy Purchase and Sale Agreement that led to the successful sale of the real estate. That was the "easy" part.
Next, she worked to create an equitable solution to the Asset Distribution process. Kokie communicated with each of my five siblings and proposed a TEDRA agreement that allowed some of the remaining real estate to remain with some of the family while the others received their share in monetary value. She then connected me with an outstanding CPA who worked out the dollars and cents and the capital gains issues of the distribution.
Oh, and also during this process, I hired Kokie to create our wills and Community Property Agreement. I then referred three of my sisters to Kokie to have their wills and directives drawn up as well. Kokie is a very sensitive woman that worked with compassion and professionalism in helping my sisters.
I could go on an on. I will say that if you only want an attorney to hold your hand, then don't hire Kokie. She is an aggressive, intuitive and knowledgeable lawyer who will take charge of your legal needs and work with diligence and efficiency in seeing them through to resolution.
In closing I would like to say that I have made a friend for life in Kokie and will most certainly call on her in the future for all of my legal needs.

Peter took over my estate case when I felt the judge was not giving my another attorney the proper respect. I'm sure the judge was doing what he felt was correct in giving the plaintiff every chance, but the judge stated one thing had been overlooked. Peter worked with my other attorney and calmed things down with the judge. He predicted the outcome of the bench trial exactly as the it came to be. The case was previously overworked and Peter broke it down into the simple case it was. At trial, the judge listened to the plaintiff's case, and then dismissed the case prior to listening to our case and reimburse me for legal expenses. What I appreciated the most was how Peter knew what would happen and where he needed to put his effort. I only wish I would have listened to him abut ignoring the "noise" (as he put it) rather than over working my responses. He did an excellent job in watching out for my interests and in guiding me.

Jensen was instrumental in helping us break up a log jam with regards to an insurance claim. There were multiple parties involved: our insurance, the HOA, the HOA's insurance, and a few others. Opposing lawyers wanted to litigate, others were incompetent and Jensen expertly navigated them all.

Where does one even begin when trying to give thanks to a team that has helped during such an emotional, stressful, and difficult time? The lawyers and staff at The Law Offices of Lance Fryrear have been such a blessing. After the police were called and an arrest was made, it felt like my life was over. I felt so powerless during those initial days where the court process and legal battles seemed beyond hope. I am not sure how I would have made (and continue to be making it) through this legal process without Lance and his team. Everytime I called with a worry or concern, Rachel and Shannon would answer the phone, listen attentively and provide encouragement. They never made me feel like a burden or annoyance (even when I felt I was because of all the anxiety). Lance and Colleen worked to support me through a Civil PO that was filed in addition to my pre-charge criminal defense needs. Colleen went above and beyond, helping me reach out for my personal items, providing comfort and support, and always making me feel like a priority. Lance not only brought so much legal knowledge and experience (check out his Youtube), but his ability to understand the process and speak to the emotional side really was a game changer. Only spoke on the phone and exchanged emails a few times, he never once told me that he would charge me and never told me what his rates were. He provided me with incorrect information regarding the company I inquired about, told me I needed to do my own research, and disappeared for a month - during which time I hired another atty figuring he wasn't interested in the case. I signed no contract with him and he filed no paperwork for me. When he learned I hired another atty, he billed me for time spent on my case. I sent a letter outlining what I wrote above and said I was willing to give him half and that by cashing the check, it meant he accepted it as payment in full. He cashed the check and promptly sent a bill for the balance with interest. According to the WSBA attorneys are supposed to be clear about their hourly rate and billing practices. He did not provide these at any time and refused to compromise. We paid the rest of the bill under duress. Not a trustworthy or ethical person.
