Ben helped us obtain Board of Zoning Exception for a duplex-to-triplex conversion. My real estate agent and permit consultant both cited him as the go-to lawyer in New Haven for this sort of work. He explained the work to be done thoroughly, and the entire process was carefree and straightforward. He was available daily by cell phone even while getting a root canal, and just as professional and pleasant as always. We promptly and successfully obtained our approvals. In a time when in seems that all most everyone only cares about “what’s in it for them” Attorney Trachten took time out of his busy schedule to provide me with information that I am sure others would have asked for a retainer to give. He gave me recommendations as well as referrals that could be very beneficial to my circumstance. We used Paul Kaplan's office to sell our house in New Haven. We had relocated across country before we had a chance to sell it, so we had to sell it remotely. Fortunately, we found some wonderful people to buy it and could do a for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) transaction, but we needed a capable seller's attorney's office to handle all the paperwork for us.
The entire transaction was as smooth as it could possibly be. Paul's office was very competent. We gave Paul a limited power-of-attorney to handle the transaction for us. Aside for a last minute scurry to find a notary public here (hint: use Yelp) here, there really weren't any problems at all. Anytime I had any questions at all, I knew that I could call Paul or toss him an e-mail and he'd call me right back.
After closing, Paul's office wired the balance of funds as soon as they settled the books (one business day!). Because of wire fraud, they were careful to make sure I was really me, and my bank account was really mine, which I appreciated.
Over all, I couldn't have been happier. Well, I could have been. I would have liked to have shaked the hands of Paul and his team for doing such a great job. What could have been a stressful situation (remotely selling a house) was instead a dream.
Now we have the funds to fix the fixer-upper we bought on the west coast!

I retained Attorney Feldman for the negotiation and handling of the sale of our property in Hamden. Since I had already relocated overseas most of the transaction happened over phone, Skype and e-mail. He did an outstanding job assisting me during the negotiation phase with the buyer through drafting the contract and closing. I feel I got the best possible advice and could trust him 150%. Communications were efficient and clear. No surprises. I can recommend Mr Feldman without reservations.

Attorney Hecht handled three different real estate matters for me in the last year and a half. He is very professional and diligent in how he conducts his business. He was always on top of things and made sure our end of things was wrapped up quickly and done correctly. Attorney Jeffrey Armas exceeded my expectations. I felt compelled to type this. My case was not typical that’s what shocks me as to how easy he made it look. He made the process so easy for me. In our initial meeting, he outlined the case timeframe, and everything unfolded as predicted. The biggest one was how quick it took. He settled way ahead of schedule.
