Todd and his LA Tamara were fantastic. Even on such a low level ticket I was given, they treated it seriously and gave me all the attention it needed. More importantly, they really knew their stuff and ended up getting the ticket dismissed. They kept me informed throughout the process and were able to answer any questions i had. I'll definitely be using this office again if it's needed.

I received a couple minor HOV lane citations in Montgomery County, and turned them over to Todd and his Team to handle for me. They were very professional during the process and Todd's assistant kept me informed along the way. His fee is reasonable and I will use him again if I ever break the law again.

Mr. Binney is a fantastic attorney. Not only is he highly educated, he has impeccable integrity. He was worth every cent and more. Additionally, I worked directly with him. He never put me off to staff employee. When I had a question he would answer it directly and the majority of the time by voice to voice communication. Hire this man for your legal issue. I have never written a google review in my entire life, and this is my first review. I was brutally cheated by the Legal system and my Attorney (SB), and I believe he colluded with my ex-wife, Attorney (MM), and Children's Attorney (SW), appointed by the Court. I am devastated and helpless and can't believe this can happen in America. I applied for Divorce in October 2018 in a small town called Brenham in Texas. In June 2019, a temporary hearing occurred; my Attorney (SB), didn't ask questions related to how I raised my kids and didn't cross-verify many key items what my ex-wife said to the Court. Also, he didn't file a Request for Relief before the Temporary hearing, which my ex-wife's Attorney (MM) pointed out. The Court decided to give Child custody to my ex-wife and I was kicked out of my home. My ex-wife's Attorney (MM) filed a petition to appoint a Children's Attorney just a couple of weeks before the Jury trial was originally planned, and the Court immediately appointed SW. She met for the first time, and I shared some key OFW messages and shared details about how my ex-wife was not cooperating with co-parenting, doing parent alienation, and the kids' grades were going downhill. She asked me to send all the OFW photos, videos, and text messages, and I sent an email. After sending the email, She even refused to acknowledge the email and refused to meet 2nd time as she told me she would do. My kids always share what Atttorney says to them, and I asked my Attorney (SB), why Children Attorney (SW) did not ask which parent did what before the Divorce. After this, Children Attorney (SW) somehow came to know; she started telling my kids that their conversation was private and should not be shared with anyone. She took the stance that my ex-wife should get kids custody and never put together one single exhibit to support it other than using my ex-wife's Exhibits. I shared this with my Attorney (SB), and nothing changed. She even met with my kids at my ex-wife's place after the Jury decision and told my kids that conversation is private and can't be shared with anyone. After several postponements of the Jury trial, the Jury trial was held in August 2022. By God's grace and Robby Neal help and support, I could share most of my story with the Jury and how I raised my two little boys. After a seven-day trial, the Jury gave me kids custody, and Divorce was granted in favor of me. Finally, the divorce decree was signed in August 2023 with split custody, and the property was split unfairly and unjustly, and I ended up with no money in my bank account with thousands and thousands of loans (More than 100K). Even though Jury game me Right to designate Primary residence, the Court decided to give the home to my ex-wife and now some how law changed. After Temporary hearing, The Judge gave same Right to designate primary residence and then my Attorney (SB) told me that my ex-wife designated my house as Primary residence and I am kicked out. I called many Applette court attorneys and found out that I couldn't afford to fight for Justice. During the process, I had an appointment with Susan, and before she called me on October 4, 2023, she had reviewed my case on a high level. After asking me a few questions, she agreed to represent me, and the fees she quoted were 70% less than the lowest amount I heard so far. On October 5, 2023, I signed the contract. I have no words to describe how grateful I am to have Susan as my Attorney for the appeal. She is a Guardian angel sent by God during devastating moments in my life to help me and fight for Justice. Thank you to Susan and her team for helping me during this process. From bottom of heart, THANK YOU and THANK YOU Susan for helping me to fight for Justice and THANK YOU god for helping me to find incredible Susan.

Here, I am introducing a law Firm named Clouthier Law, PLLC. I am 75 years old now, and I become a Victim of Elder Investment Fraud, and I was looking for a competent attorney to represent me and few other victims who were severely harmed in a case which we filed in 296th, Judicial District Court Collin County Texas . I contacted almost 100 reputed law Firms in Texas and other States, but I noticed that no law Firms were ready to represent the victims, especially Elderly Victims, because the Federal Lawmakers like FBI, FTC, SEC, DOJ, and their Prosecutors are the one who is handling the cases like Elder Investment fraud. As an Indian American I learned that language is the greatest barrier for me to talk to the American Attorneys. My First Language is MALAYALAM and English is my Second Language. Finally, I contacted attorney Susan Clouthier, who is residing in Texas, and I am in New York.Attorney Susan clearly understood my weakness, and very patiently listened my case, and offered me her service, and took the case. She reviewed the case, and came forward to represent us. In my opinion, this case is one of the "Notorious Case" in the history of Indian Americans, and I fully believe that Attorneys like Susan Clouthier will definitely win this case due to preponderance of Evidence in this case.In our case a Receiver was appointed to Investigate the case as per the request of the attorneys we hired. At the beginning the Receiver "Discovered" that there were "Multiple Badges of Fraud" committed by Former Directors of the company.Still the receiver made a settlement agreement with the Defendants and Closed the original case in the 296th, Court, and went to a different Court 471st Judicial District Court, Collin County, TX and filed a Case and misrepresented the court, and settled the case in favor of the defendants that severely " Harmed" elderly victims like me. So, we Opposed the receiver's decision with the help of Attorney Susan J. Clouthier, Esq., and filed an Appeal in the 5th COURT OF APPEALS, DALLAS, TEXAS.We, the severely harmed Elderly victims of Investment Fraud believe that we will get Justice from the HONORABLE JUDGE OF THE 5th COURT OF APPEALS, TX with the help of attorney Susan J. Clouthier and her team, because Attorney Susan and her team properly researched, investigated, and studied the case and prepared the Appellate Brief and filed it in the court. I fully believe that we, the elderly victims will win this case with the help of Attorney Susan Clouthier and her team. For Elderly Victims like us, Attorney Susan J. Clouthier and the Clouthier LAW, PLLC, is highly recommended. Thomas J. Koovalloor Member of Facebook, Twitter X, and LinkedIn.

Susan and her team have filed a brief in my Civil Appeal case. It is well written and I only hope it helps not just myself but others that may have been treated the same way by our Justice system. I have been very pleased in their ability in a situation that is pretty complicated. The degree of understanding and communication is rare when it should not be but finding someone that not only understands but fights for your rights is so appreciated. Johnnie Hargrave

This was the worst experience,, From the outside. It was clear that they did not know what there were doing when it came to PROBATE.. with minors involved. I am a realtor.. and somehow when I call the courts..I shook things up.I suddenly got answers. I wrote to Teresa Hudspeth regarding the courts, and spoke with the office for Harris County .They did say they could not talk to me, however reported to me the things that needed to be done were NOT. I already knew this.. just confirming. You can follow what is filed on the Harris County website. They constantly blamed the judge...and they should not have. You see you can follow what is on here DOCKET.. and see she gets thing done FAST. To get to closing they wanted a Certificate of Sale, that the judge would sign off on, then we could fund.. The sale took place 6/25/2024.. the certificate was signed 8/20/2024 . Had the title company not worked with us to get this family their property, and close on the WAITING of the judge.. We would have been 8 months in. I honestly believe they do not know what they are doing. The process is on the website .. and if you follow the things done.. that is not the same. Be sure and ask the hard questions before you PROBATE. be sure you know how to follow along as things occur. Myself and another realtor had to be an advocate for the EXECUTOR. interview your attorneys as you would do anyone else.. I generally post nothing but positive comments. I usually have worked a problem out with an owner.. for the greater good. This time.. I am a third party, I was robbed of many of my own hours.. for the lack of the attorneys doing their job. You need to know.

I was charged with resisting arrest and failure to ID. As soon as I got there the failure to ID charge was dropped by the Judge. Darryl didn't have to say a word. Him and the DA made a guilty plea bargain deal for me that day and when we got back to court 3 weeks later he didn't even show up. He sent some woman who wasn't doing her job. The judge was defending me and looked at me crazy saying, "and you want to plea guilty?" The woman didn't put up a fight. Darryl and my mother lectured me for hours saying that I was guilty and should be grateful for such a plea bargain. I would never recommend this guy to anyone. He never puts up a fight when he believes you are guilty. Same tactics were advised to my friend by him who was clearly guilty but he was smart enough not to pay him. What is the point of paying him if all you're going to do is plea guilty. anyone can do that alone

What a Real Estate Lawyer Can Do for You

A real estate lawyer provides legal assistance in transactions and disputes involving property, including residential and commercial real estate. Whether you're buying, selling, leasing, or developing property, a real estate attorney can help ensure that your transactions are legally sound and your rights are protected. They review contracts, perform due diligence, resolve disputes, and provide legal representation in negotiations and litigation involving property matters.

Real estate lawyers are crucial in safeguarding your investment by ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws, as well as protecting you from potential legal pitfalls related to property ownership and transactions.

When Should I Hire a Real Estate Lawyer?

Hiring a real estate lawyer is beneficial in various scenarios, including:

  • Buying or selling property: When navigating complex real estate contracts, it’s advisable to have a lawyer review and ensure that the terms are favorable and legal.
  • Commercial property transactions: For leasing, purchasing, or selling commercial properties, a lawyer can help manage the intricate legal aspects of such transactions.
  • Zoning or land use issues: If you're planning to develop property or change its use, a real estate lawyer can guide you through zoning laws and land use regulations.
  • Resolving property disputes: For boundary disputes, title issues, or disagreements over property rights, a lawyer can help mediate or litigate the matter.
  • Foreclosures or evictions: If you're dealing with foreclosure or managing a tenant eviction, legal representation ensures that the process adheres to local laws and protects your interests.
  • Title and deed issues: Lawyers can help clear title disputes, ensure the legitimacy of property deeds, and handle transfers of ownership.

What Does a Real Estate Lawyer Do?

A real estate lawyer provides a range of services to help with property transactions and disputes, including:

  • Contract drafting and review: Ensuring that purchase agreements, leases, and other contracts are legally binding, fair, and protect your interests.
  • Title search and clearance: Conducting a thorough title search to ensure that the property has no legal claims or liens that could affect ownership.
  • Facilitate closing: Managing the closing process in real estate transactions, including reviewing final documents and ensuring that everything is in order before the transfer of ownership.
  • Resolve disputes: Handling legal disputes related to property ownership, boundaries, zoning, or tenants.
  • Assist in financing: Reviewing loan agreements and mortgage documents to ensure the terms are fair and legally sound.
  • Zoning and land use advice: Guiding clients through the complexities of zoning laws and building regulations for property development or renovation projects.

How Are Real Estate Lawyers Paid?

Real estate lawyers typically charge for their services in the following ways:

  • Flat fee: Many real estate transactions, such as reviewing a sales contract or assisting with a closing, are charged on a flat-fee basis.
  • Hourly rates: If a lawyer is handling complex disputes or litigation, they may charge by the hour. Hourly rates can vary significantly based on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Contingency fees: In rare cases, such as property disputes or claims for damages, a lawyer may work on a contingency fee basis, meaning they only get paid if you win or settle the case.
  • Retainer: For ongoing legal support, some clients may pay a retainer, which is an upfront fee used as a deposit for future legal services.

It's important to clarify the fee structure with your attorney before hiring them to avoid any surprises.

How Much Does a Real Estate Lawyer Cost?

The cost of a real estate lawyer varies based on the complexity of the matter, the location of the property, and the lawyer’s experience. Key factors that affect pricing include:

  • Type of transaction or issue: Simple tasks, like contract reviews, typically cost less than handling a complex property dispute or litigation.
  • Experience and location: More experienced lawyers or those in high-demand areas, like urban centers, often charge higher rates.
  • Billing structure: Lawyers may charge a flat fee for basic services like document review or hourly for more time-intensive work such as disputes or litigation.

Flat fees for straightforward services like closing assistance may range from $500 to $1,500.

Hourly rates can range from $150 to $400 or more, depending on the attorney’s experience and location.

Always discuss fees upfront to understand the overall cost of the legal service you're receiving.

Top Questions to Ask a Real Estate Lawyer

Before hiring a real estate lawyer, ask the following questions to ensure they are the right fit for your legal needs:

  1. What experience do you have with real estate law?
Ensure the lawyer has experience in the type of real estate transaction or dispute you’re facing, whether residential, commercial, or development-related.
  2. What is your fee structure?
Ask how the lawyer charges for services - whether it's a flat fee, hourly rate, or retainer - so there are no surprises later on.
  3. How long will the process take?
Especially important for real estate transactions or disputes with deadlines, ask for a general estimate of how long the process will last.
  4. Have you handled cases similar to mine?
Experience with similar transactions or disputes can give you confidence that the lawyer knows how to handle your case.
  5. Will you handle my case personally, or will it be passed to another attorney?
Confirm who will be handling the bulk of your case work, especially in larger firms where junior lawyers may take on some responsibilities.
  6. Can you provide references?
Speaking with past clients can give you insight into the lawyer's experience and how they handle cases.

How to Check the Credibility of a Real Estate Lawyer

To ensure you’re hiring a reputable real estate lawyer, take these steps:

  • Check with the state bar association: Verify that the lawyer is licensed and in good standing with no disciplinary actions on their record.
  • Read online reviews and testimonials: Look for reviews on legal directories and platforms like Avvo or Martindale-Hubbell to see what past clients have said.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should have past clients willing to share their experiences.
  • Review their track record and expertise: Look at the lawyer’s website or LinkedIn profile for information about their experience in real estate law and any relevant cases they’ve handled.
  • Membership in professional organizations: Lawyers who are members of respected legal or real estate organizations, like the American Bar Association’s Real Property Division, often signal credibility and expertise.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make your first meeting with a real estate lawyer productive, you should prepare the following materials:

  • Relevant property documents: Bring purchase agreements, lease contracts, mortgage documents, zoning permits, or any other paperwork related to your case.
  • A summary of the issue or transaction: Be ready to explain the situation, whether it's a property dispute, contract negotiation, or development issue.
  • Questions about the legal process: Prepare a list of questions about how the lawyer will handle your case and what steps are involved.
  • Financial documents or loan agreements: If the case involves financing or a mortgage, bring any related documents for the lawyer to review.
  • Your goals and timeline: Be clear about what outcome you're hoping for, and if there are any deadlines that need to be considered, such as closing dates or legal filings.

By coming prepared, you can ensure that your consultation is efficient and informative, allowing you to assess whether the lawyer is the right fit for your real estate needs.
