I used Ms. Haber to close on the selling of my house. It was a complicated closing - my house had 3 IRS liens and 3 open permits on it that needed to be addressed before the sale could go through.
Amy walked me through the process, referring me to expeditors and explaining how to satisfy the liens. I believe she saved the deal.
She had good follow up - returning phone calls and emails rapidly. I would use her again in a heartbeat.

Mr Rockitter is quite adept at what he does. In addition to being very well respected by the court, he is a wonderful, compassionate person who has helped me collect child support from a father who by definition continues to be a "deadbeat." One of our child support petitions was also a published decision due to his expertise. I recently retained him again years later and testified from Florida, where I reside, while he was in the Family Court in Nassau County. The hearing was resolved by a large settlement in July of 2016. He has always been extremely fair with legal fees as well. I highly recommend him and will retain him again shortly.

Kevin Rockitter was excellent throughout my divorce process and post decree as well. Kevin is always available to answer emails, texts, respond to phone calls and meet if necessary. When I had a more urgent need to speak to him about an issue he would always respond in a very timely manner and let me know if he could not be reached for a period of time. He explains legal terms and issues in an understandable, patient manner and provides prompt feedback when something is unclear. He is trustworthy, professional and very knowledgeable in the field of matrimonial law. He worked very hard to settle my case before a trial ensued. There were several tenuous situations with respect to my ex-wife during the process. Kevin handled these situations in a calm, confident manner and resolved the issues promptly.
I received my decree on November 4, 2011 and have had several follow-up questions and issues come up since. Kevin has continued to be responsive and provide clear direction. In late 2023, I had a client which was purchasing a $2 million commercial investment property and wanted to do a 1031 exchange using the sale of three multi family residential investment properties to fund the purchase.
Unfortunately, the purchase of the $2 million property had to happen (ToE) before I could close the three residential properties, the closings for which would be staggered over two or three months after the acquisition. In other words, I had to do a reverse 1031 exchange.
While I have been a real estate lawyer for 50 years and had done a number of traditional 1031 exchanges, I had never done a reverse 1031. I didn't know where to begin. However, speaking to counsel at Legal 1031 Exchange Services, LLC resolved my difficulties.
While the transaction was ultimately somewhat complicated, with the help of Attorney James Walther and his very competent and empathetic staff at Legal 1031 Exchange Services, I was able to maneuver the technical requirements of the IRS code to a successful conclusion, and my client was able to incorporate the sale of all three residential properties into the exchange, thereby saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in long-term capital gains taxes.
I could never have done it on my own or with the help of my own CPA who is quite knowledgeable in these matters (but not a lawyer). Legal 1031 Exchange Services, LLC held me by the hand and took me every step of the way to a complete and successful resolution of this very complicated matter. Title: Disappointed by Lack of Flexibility and Understanding
Review:
I’ve been a Discover customer for many years, but my recent experience has been very disappointing. I reached out to resolve a financial issue and hoped to work out a reasonable payment plan that fit my financial circumstances. Unfortunately, I found Discover to be rigid and unwilling to consider any compromise, even when I demonstrated good faith and explained my hardships.
During a time when many companies are showing empathy and understanding for customers facing challenges, Discover’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh. Their insistence on unaffordable payment terms left me feeling undervalued as a customer.
While I’ve appreciated certain aspects of their service in the past, this lack of flexibility has made me reconsider my trust in Discover as a company that prioritizes its customers. I hope they revisit their policies and provide more reasonable solutions for those trying to resolve their debts responsibly.

I absolutely hated getting the notifications from this company and decided to call them. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely helpful and seemed too nice to be from a collection agency. They made it very easy for me to pay the debt and close the account. These people made me realize that it truly wasn't that bad, and I was able to repay the debt and put an end to this nightmare eventually.
