First off I had a warrant for my arrest. I contacted Craig Kadish and hired him to represent me. Within 2 days the warrant was squashed and I had a court date issued. I allegedly owed $5,000 for damages to the car that was taken. At the first appearance we made a deal that didn't require me to plead guilty, which I was very happy about. At the second and final appearance the plaintiff didn't even show up! I can't promise that Craig will make your plaintiff disappear but he sure made mine!!!!! Thanks for your help in this matter.

Mr. Kadish recently represented me in a case in Howard County (one of the tougher counties in Maryland). He assured me that he would do his best to get the favorable outcome available for the felony I was charged with. The outcome was more than expected. He lead with confidence and the charge was nolle prosequi. Speaking with him eased my anxieties and I trusted his word. I pray that I never need another lawyer but if I do he would be the first to call.

Craig M. Kadish and his entire team are truly amazing. From my initial consolation with Mr. Kadish and meeting his team, I was confident that I made the right choice to hire him for legal representation. Mr. Kadish and his team were very patient and understanding throughout the 6-month process, explaining all aspects and possible outcomes of my case, without any sugar coating or false promises, all of which I greatly appreciated. Mr. Kadish and his team were very strategic and detail oriented in preparing for each court appearance, all while keeping me informed with the logistics to help ensure I was prepared in advance. Ultimately, Mr. Kadish was amazingly successful in negotiating dismissal of all charges. I definitely recommend Craig M . Kadish to anyone needing a brilliant criminal defense attorney.

Joanne reached out to me when I was beginning to think all hope was lost I told her my wife's story about several issues that happened & she was very knowledgeable on all that I spoke with her about, I hope to be hiring her in the near future. I totally believe that she is one of the best not only in her state but also in the country, I look forward to her standing up for some of the wrongs that seem to be going on in this country.

Margaret is like MJ G.O.A.T!!! I’m not just saying that because she got my charges dropped I’m saying that because when your backed in the corner she comes up with things that will make you say WHAT!!! She stays in touch at all times and gives her personal phone number out just in case. She doesn’t blow smoke up your ass just to get your money she tells you the truth and reality of your situation!! That says a lot about Margaret’s character. I would suggest to anyone looking for someone to trust and have your back 100% look no further call her it’s your best chance. I love you Margaret mead

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was charged and held "without bail" along with 5 others. And though the charges were "trumped-up"...I thought I would never be with my family again nor see the light of day! Retaining Margaret Mead was the best decision I could have made at this precarious time. Margaret Mead rescued me and represented me for my Bail Review. Though the State tried to paint the worst picture of me and recommend I still be held without bail, Margaret Mead had me released in hours. The others charged were not so fortunate. I owe a great debt to Margaret. I am free this morning writing this review - at home. "Thank you Margaret" - both of you! Margaret Mead is reliable, professional and knowledgeable. She has a "Kennedy - Like" presence about herself. Call her today. Her partner, Brandon Mead was an important role in assisting as well. "Thank you Brandon".

There’s seriously no one who’s a match for Mead. She’s intelligent, proficient, direct and extremely knowledgeable. If you’re seeking an attorney who will coddle you and rock you to sleep with a barrage of calls and unnecessary emails, keep looking. If you want someone who’s highly capable, fully qualified and will get the job done, look NO further. Pricing is very fair as your freedom is truly priceless. This woman saved my life, literally. She’s seriously so good, I keep her on retainer just in case. The wise choose Mead.

This place doesn’t want to help those in serious accidents that matter for customers. First off the receptionist in the front desk Kim is very rude, unprofessional and doesn’t like returning calls. The lawyer himself Jeffery talks a big game about helping and fighting for the clients but he doesn’t!!!! He looks for his money only for the law-firm and five other more money just for being refurred to them, more than the person that’s being handled on the case. Nobody returns calls until they get annoyed by the client/clients!! I can recall calling 4 times in one day just to hear back for information then waited additional 15 till they can to the phone. I wouldn’t recommend anyone using him for help. There’s no real justice dealing with him except laying him off and making him look good when truly he’s not!!!! And he take weeks to resolve issues and get any updates on what’s happening with the case.

Do not waste your time dealing with these people. They are only out for their selves and are very selfish. They do not care about my concerns about my recent case and aren't fighting hard enough. I rather deal with another attorney than them. Was referred by the wrong person anyway!!!!!! By the way Kim (at the front desk) is very rude and unprofessional! Donna (the other woman who works there) is the only person who is nice and seems to care. Jeff Miller (the actual attorney) is BS he will look you in the face and act he cares but really doesn't. DO NOT COME HERE.

Brad filed for a warrant motion recall when he should not have, just to take my money. I had hire another attorney first and I should’ve stayed with him. My son was falsely accused and he was found innocent from questioning, so the detective told me that I didn’t need an attorney. I told Brad macfee and he acted like he was in shock. If I would not have said anything about a refund he would’ve kept my money. I paid him $1500. Who would allow someone to keep their money for nothing. Not me! He told me that he would give me my $1000 back. He got his secretary or whatever she is working from her home, because he has no office to send me an invoice. Saying that he charged me for my affidavits $300 for an hour. We never talked about that, if we did I would not have agreed to that is what I texted him. He never called me back and he ignore my calls after the day he told me a lie about my money. I called and texted a week later asking about my money and Liz said that she didn’t have my address, but Brad had it. Poor communication on their end. I went to her address to pick up my $825 check. I wouldn’t recommend him to a cat. This is what I text Brad and he just read my messages everytime that I text him. Coward Why are you trying to rip me off? You told me that you were sending me a check for $1,000. You did the motion like Rodney did and really should not have because you knew that it would not work. I need my money back. Not, $825.00 Brad Why didn’t you tell me that I was being charged for the affidavit statement. I would have never agreed to that. You also made it like the warrant would be recalled, because you sent the affidavits attached. You knew that it wouldn’t work, because Rodney told me that it was denied and you knew that. And turn around and misrepresent the truth and you didn’t disclose an affidavit fee. I should’ve stayed with Rodney. it was all about money. I never agreed to pay you for an affidavit. You stole my money.

Brad was the worst lawyer EVER he stole over $500 and never returned my money he played so many games and never barely called us. Not to mention it was like pulling a persons heart out with your bare hands. That’s how hard it was to get in contact. He has a iPhone so I would see him many times read my messages and keep them on read. I guess it’s no surprise we lost our case. He was the worst ever and I wouldn’t recommend him for not even the simplest case. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

What a Sex Crime Lawyer Can Do for You

A sex crime lawyer specializes in defending individuals accused of sexual offenses, which can include charges such as sexual assault, rape, indecent exposure, child pornography, solicitation, and other related crimes. Being charged with a sex crime carries severe legal and social consequences, including potential imprisonment, mandatory registration as a sex offender, fines, and long-term stigma. A sex crime lawyer has the expertise to navigate the complex legal system, protect your rights, and develop a strategic defense to achieve the best possible outcome for your case.

When Should I Hire a Sex Crime Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a sex crime lawyer immediately if:

  • You are under investigation: If law enforcement contacts you for questioning or you become aware that you are a suspect in a sex crime investigation, it's crucial to seek legal representation before speaking with authorities.
  • You have been arrested or charged: Promptly hiring a lawyer upon arrest or formal charges allows for early intervention in your case, which can be critical for your defense.
  • Searches and seizures have occurred: If your property, such as your home or electronic devices, has been searched or seized in connection with a sex crime investigation, a lawyer can help protect your rights.
  • You are facing related legal issues: If you're dealing with restraining orders, custody disputes, or other legal matters stemming from the allegations, a lawyer can provide comprehensive legal support.

What Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Do?

A sex crime lawyer provides a range of legal services to defend and support you throughout the legal process:

  • Legal consultation and advice: They will explain the charges against you, outline your rights, and advise you on the best course of action.
  • Case investigation: The lawyer will conduct a thorough investigation, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and identifying inconsistencies or weaknesses in the prosecution's case.
  • Defense strategy development: They will develop a tailored defense strategy, which may include challenging the credibility of evidence, disputing the legality of how evidence was obtained, or presenting alternative explanations.
  • Negotiating with prosecutors: Your lawyer can negotiate plea bargains or reduced charges when appropriate, aiming to minimize potential penalties.
  • Court representation: They will represent you in all court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and sentencing, advocating on your behalf.
  • Protecting your rights: The lawyer ensures that your constitutional rights are upheld throughout the legal process, including protection against unlawful searches, coerced confessions, or violations of due process.
  • Post-trial assistance: If necessary, they can assist with appeals, sentence modifications, or matters related to sex offender registration.

How Are Sex Crime Lawyers Paid?

Sex crime lawyers typically charge for their services in one of the following ways:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee for the time spent working on your case. Rates can vary widely based on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fee: A set amount that covers specific services or the entirety of your case, which can provide cost predictability.
  • Retainer fee: An upfront payment from which the lawyer deducts hourly fees and expenses as they work on your case. You may need to replenish the retainer if it is exhausted.
  • Payment plans: Some lawyers offer payment arrangements to make their services more affordable over time.

It's important to discuss payment structures and fees during your initial consultation to understand the financial commitment involved.

How Much Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a sex crime lawyer depends on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the severity of the charges, and the lawyer's experience. General cost estimates are:

  • Hourly rates: Typically range from $200 to $500 or more per hour.
  • Flat fees: For less complex cases, flat fees might range from $5,000 to $25,000.
  • Total costs: Complex cases involving extensive investigation or a trial can cost $25,000 to $100,000 or more.
  • Additional costs: May include expert witness fees, investigative expenses, and court fees.

Always request a detailed fee agreement and discuss potential additional costs to avoid unexpected expenses.

Get an estimated timeline based on the specifics of your case.

How to Check the Credibility of a Sex Crime Lawyer

  • Verify their license: Ensure the lawyer is licensed and in good standing with your state's bar association.
  • Experience and specialization: Look for a lawyer who specializes in criminal defense with a focus on sex crime cases.
  • Client reviews and testimonials: Research online reviews or ask for references to learn about other clients' experiences.
  • Professional memberships: Membership in organizations like the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) can indicate a commitment to the field.
  • Disciplinary record: Check for any past disciplinary actions or complaints filed against the lawyer.
  • Consultation feedback: Use the initial consultation to assess their communication style, professionalism, and confidence in handling your case.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a sex crime lawyer, bring the following:

  • Detailed account of events: Write down everything you remember about the incident, including dates, times, locations, and any conversations.
  • Legal documents: Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Arrest records
    • Charging documents
    • Bail paperwork
    • Search warrants
    • Any correspondence from law enforcement or the court
  • Witness information: Provide names and contact information of any potential witnesses who can support your defense.
  • Evidence: Bring any physical evidence or records that may be relevant, such as emails, text messages, or social media interactions.
  • List of questions: Prepare questions about your case, the legal process, and the lawyer's experience.
  • Honesty: Be prepared to discuss all details openly and honestly; attorney-client privilege ensures confidentiality.
  • Goals and objectives: Be clear about what you hope to achieve, whether it's dismissing charges, reducing penalties, or addressing registration as a sex offender.

By being thoroughly prepared, you enable the lawyer to assess your situation effectively and provide the best possible legal advice tailored to your case.
