I was facing 10 years in federal prison. With all the evidence stacked against me and my former attorney suggesting that I take a plea…it was Gal who told me that the case could be beat and urged me to fight. After firing my first attorney who literally took my 10K retainer and advised me to "plead guilty, sell your house and move," boy am I glad I stumbled across Mr. Klein. I didn't know about AVVO at the time, but real client reviews are probably the best way to judge a potential attorney.
By the time I hired Mr. Klein on several convoluted and grossly exaggerated matters that had ballooned out of hand, which included OOP and VOOP, he was able to get the OOP vacated and VOOPs dismissed, which seemed initially like an impossible task, especially since the original attorney bungled the case so badly and several months had elapsed.
In the end, I received court supervision for one separate case, with all others dismissed.
About Mr. Klein's style: He's a great communicator. Available, responsive, patient, and explains things in detail (and many of the details can easily get confusing). Sometimes he gets gruff or short when he is in the middle of fighting hard for your case, so trust that he is placing his energy where it needs to go and will get back to you later to explain the finer details.
A word about pricing: A friend advised me, be wary of attorneys who charge you by the hour, because you can't really know how much time they have actually spent on the case. I found this out the hard way, when my original attorney kept over 3K of my original retainer, after doing pretty much nothing on my cases. Mr. Klein in contrast offered transparent pricing, telling me exactly what his cost was for each matter in full, and additional fees if the case went to bench trial vs. jury trial (it didn't.)
If you have any pending criminal matter and need a great attorney, I unequivocally recommend Steve Klein!

I really appreciate this women with all of my heart. She was so nice understanding and patient with me. I haven’t had a license in 6 years …I now have a license . I have over 6 traffic tickets with dupage county she represented me and even when I couldn’t pay or get my License in time she made the court continue the case untill I was ready I took my time and went and did my test and past. She got me good pleas and 4 of my cases dismiss I am now hiring her to do my exponges so I’ll let u all know how that experience go she is so awesome 10/10

I own multiple businesses and Eric Bell has done law work for me and consultation work for the last 15 years. I have also referred several people to him (at least 5 family members or friends that used him) over the years. This guy puts his heart and soul into every case he gets whether it is something trivial or major, in cook county or has to drive to Dupage county or a neighboring courthouse he will get it done. You obviously have to have some intelligence to be an effective attorney but to really get things done you have to have a great work ethic and be likable too. Eric fits the bill, he has a fierce work ethic and I don't know if I ever met anyone that doesn't like him. I tell everyone I can about Eric. As nice as he is, he's an animal in the court room. Words alone cannot express my gratitude to the entire Passen Law Group team. They took a very difficult time of my life a guided me to successful resolution.
After being rear-ended in a car accident I began having physical difficulties with speech, headaches, memory, taste and ringing in my ears. While in the Emergency Room it was discovered I had incurred a severe traumatic brain injury called a subdural hematoma.
