I hired Muneer to handle a double felony drug & weapons charge for my 23yr old son. Muneer told me exactly what he would be able to do prior to taking the case. Muneer was able to get my son into a program, all charges dismissed, and my son walked away with no criminal record. Muneer also allowed us to pay our retainer fee on a payment plan and due to him closing the case early he allowed us to keep the final $1000 payment. I 100% stand by his representation and I am extremely thankful for his services!

An amazing lawyer that cleared my name. He wouldn’t settle on the plea they gave me instead fought for my justice. Getting me the dismissal he said I deserved. Very nice and communicated with me throughout the whole process so I was never left in the dark. Would absolutely recommend him for your case.

I’m not a repeat offender or an experienced criminal, so when I heard that there may be an arrest warrant issued in my name, I quickly panicked. I wasn't familiar with the arresting process and pictures from bad cop dramas filled my head. However, I called Carlos, and he calmly explained what I could expect and immediately researched my specific issue. Talking to Carlos was like talking to a calm friend – a really smart, calm friend. After looking into my situation, he presented options and we quickly came to a solution. Should I ever be in this situation again – and I hope I’m not – I will immediately call Carlos. He’s the gold standard.

Carlos Rodriguez did a wonderful job on my case, which was dismissed. Carlos was proactive, responsive, and very conscientious. He did a great job of obtaining all of the relevant evidence and then giving good advice on the best course of action. Carlos also went beyond the scope of his duties to rectify issues outside of the legal system caused by the false accusations made against me. His fee was reasonable and he never tried to "nickle and dime" me. I would strongly recommend hiring Carlos.

Carlos was great at representing me against an ex-girlfriend who made some false claims against me. His experience and connections got the case dismissed before it ever went to trial. Carlos was great to work with and I highly recommend him and his firm.

I repeat do not hire this woman she’s a CROOK!!!! She will take your money and do absolutely nothing for your case. She is lazy all she’s worried about is payments. She done absolutely nothing for my son’s case all she did was gather evidence from the DA she has no clue of what she’s doing. She needs to be reported to the bar association. All she had to do was get a video and she couldn’t even do that. She will not have your back and gets an attitude when you call her or ask questions. I never hated someone more than I hate this lady she’s a con artist. Do not give her your money.

First I must say that Kim is simply an amazing defense attorney. I scheduled a consultation for her to represent me with possible charges pending from a family member which was traumatic in itself. She's very tough. She's a fighter. And she will fight for you. As she has fought for me and continues to fight for me. The best advice I can give you is be completely honest with her. I know it's terrifying when there is pending or possible charges looming. But she needs to see the clear picture so she can fight for you. I am so blessed and thankful that I found her and her practice. Thank you Kim from the bottom of my heart I could not have went through this without you. She truly cares and she will use this extensive legal knowledge to help you.

After researching companies that were successful in cases against HOA's I hired this firm 5 years ago. I asked if they could win and was told yes. February 2023 we had to agree to a settlement. In that 5 years we changed lawyers 5 times. I would call to find out what was happening and was always told that they were waiting on the HOA attorney and that's just the way this worked. I ended up paying this attorney more than if I had just paid the HOA fine. There is no real update from them, unless you call their monthly bill an update. The last attorney assigned did manage to get a settlement worked out. We took it because I was not going to drag this out another 5 years and 5 different attorneys.

This is a poor start. After speaking with the staff and an attorney with the John Miller and Associates Law Firm... I paid the non-refundable fee, agreed to the initial date and time set by the staff and called 1 hour before the appointed time to confirm the appointment. After the appointed time and 15 min before the close of business, I called the office and was informed that the attorney was not going to make the meeting. Summary: the attorney did not display the expected professionalism and courtesy to take the time to call to me, and provide an apology and reschedule the meeting. This is definitely a teachable moment for John Miller and his Associates...provide timely information to the clients and be more considerate of our time. Thank you Keith Wright

What a Sex Crime Lawyer Can Do for You

A sex crime lawyer specializes in defending individuals accused of sexual offenses, which can include charges such as sexual assault, rape, indecent exposure, child pornography, solicitation, and other related crimes. Being charged with a sex crime carries severe legal and social consequences, including potential imprisonment, mandatory registration as a sex offender, fines, and long-term stigma. A sex crime lawyer has the expertise to navigate the complex legal system, protect your rights, and develop a strategic defense to achieve the best possible outcome for your case.

When Should I Hire a Sex Crime Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a sex crime lawyer immediately if:

  • You are under investigation: If law enforcement contacts you for questioning or you become aware that you are a suspect in a sex crime investigation, it's crucial to seek legal representation before speaking with authorities.
  • You have been arrested or charged: Promptly hiring a lawyer upon arrest or formal charges allows for early intervention in your case, which can be critical for your defense.
  • Searches and seizures have occurred: If your property, such as your home or electronic devices, has been searched or seized in connection with a sex crime investigation, a lawyer can help protect your rights.
  • You are facing related legal issues: If you're dealing with restraining orders, custody disputes, or other legal matters stemming from the allegations, a lawyer can provide comprehensive legal support.

What Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Do?

A sex crime lawyer provides a range of legal services to defend and support you throughout the legal process:

  • Legal consultation and advice: They will explain the charges against you, outline your rights, and advise you on the best course of action.
  • Case investigation: The lawyer will conduct a thorough investigation, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and identifying inconsistencies or weaknesses in the prosecution's case.
  • Defense strategy development: They will develop a tailored defense strategy, which may include challenging the credibility of evidence, disputing the legality of how evidence was obtained, or presenting alternative explanations.
  • Negotiating with prosecutors: Your lawyer can negotiate plea bargains or reduced charges when appropriate, aiming to minimize potential penalties.
  • Court representation: They will represent you in all court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and sentencing, advocating on your behalf.
  • Protecting your rights: The lawyer ensures that your constitutional rights are upheld throughout the legal process, including protection against unlawful searches, coerced confessions, or violations of due process.
  • Post-trial assistance: If necessary, they can assist with appeals, sentence modifications, or matters related to sex offender registration.

How Are Sex Crime Lawyers Paid?

Sex crime lawyers typically charge for their services in one of the following ways:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee for the time spent working on your case. Rates can vary widely based on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fee: A set amount that covers specific services or the entirety of your case, which can provide cost predictability.
  • Retainer fee: An upfront payment from which the lawyer deducts hourly fees and expenses as they work on your case. You may need to replenish the retainer if it is exhausted.
  • Payment plans: Some lawyers offer payment arrangements to make their services more affordable over time.

It's important to discuss payment structures and fees during your initial consultation to understand the financial commitment involved.

How Much Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a sex crime lawyer depends on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the severity of the charges, and the lawyer's experience. General cost estimates are:

  • Hourly rates: Typically range from $200 to $500 or more per hour.
  • Flat fees: For less complex cases, flat fees might range from $5,000 to $25,000.
  • Total costs: Complex cases involving extensive investigation or a trial can cost $25,000 to $100,000 or more.
  • Additional costs: May include expert witness fees, investigative expenses, and court fees.

Always request a detailed fee agreement and discuss potential additional costs to avoid unexpected expenses.
