I was highly recommended by a former Circuit Judge in Orlando to contact Mr Yates. He immediately took my call and put me at ease immediately. After his investigation into the matter he agreed to take my case. I never met him in person and everything was done via phone and computer. I paid with a credit card and he kept me posted with phone calls, texts, and emails. He handled both matters within weeks (court schedule ) and I never had to appear at court. He got both matters handled and didn’t charge any additional monies for services rendered. I always have attorneys whether tax, business, etc but I wish Tad Yates could replace them all. His assistant Kathy is the best and she too keeps you totally informed. If you have a criminal matter there is no one that could come to his services. Lauren Bobek was recommended to us my an inmate. After speaking to her on the phone she sounded credible and knowledgeable. We hired her. In the case, she was highly involved, researched all the details, was respectful to the client, made sure he understood the process and worked out a great outcome for his case. My case was solved in the most impressive and fastest way I thought it would be. We were supposed to have court in January. When I hired Smith and Eulo they sent me Scott Messinger and Isabella Vicentelo. These two worked fast to get my fiance out of jail and not only that but they got the case dropped, in other words, no more court, all that in less than a month. There were 3 charges and all of them dropped! We could not believe! I never met my lawyers in person and I was never able to thank them enough. I was falsely accused of Domestic violence on 3 counts while my wife was trying to steal my money and custody of our children. I hired Michael and he was amazing and went over and beyond the call of duty collecting evidence and filing extra motions and more. He does not evolve his personal or political beliefs with his clients or cases whatsoever even though we sit on opposite sides. He got my wife on the stand in front a of jury all day from 8am to 5pm and showed what a lying, cheating, thief that she was and had her impeached as a witness for lying and got her admitting to committing perjury and got the jury to deliberate a not guilty on all counts unanimously within 10 minutes.. He pretty much saved me and my children s lives. I did much research on the best criminal lawyer in Orlando and everyone said he was the best! I owe him big time! His fee was way under prices also! I must say that Jacob has reconciled me with trusting justice, especially in Florida. I wish I had known Jacob when my husband and I were looking for a lawyer in 2013. I was referred to H. Manual Hernandez (Manny) by another attorney as I was being investigated based on allegations made that I had committed Elder Financial Exploitation.
This was unequivocally the worst fear that I had ever encountered. I could literally write volumes in this review regarding how well Manny conducted my case. I appreciated him never patronizing me by sugar coating issues. He always articulated very clearly the issues regarding my case. He was fastidious regarding being well prepared and was outstanding regarding how he respectfully interfaced with the lead criminal investigator, as well as numerous others. It’s incredible to read the other review that had a negative experience with his law firm Because it sounds just like my story. Lack of action, the feeling like you are begging or asking for something rather than paying for service. The lack of thorough explanation about the legal process and the simplicity of time your actual consequences seems to be a trademark of this lawyer. I am now confused because I don’t know if he was working for the DA office or if he was there to represent me and fight for my innocence because looking back, there was always a deal on the table, There was always an option of simplicity, as if he didn’t want to be bothered with this issue. I completely understand the result of those actions because a simple search and reading of the legal system lead me to understand the consequences of his lack of action, a convicted felon, taking the time to explain or looking into other options rather than a quick deal that he prosecutor to get out of the way. I’m not here to ask for anything from the justice system or from this man I’m here to prevent you from making a mistake if you’re reading this for an actual lawyer says if you feel like your second home then go ahead and hire him

The lawyer didn't look at the dashcam of the police. I was mentally ill, going in and out of the rehab for Schizophrenia and had a car crash.
The police wrote completely wrong details about the incident like I was in the car and they had to drag me out, when in reality I was waiting outside the car after I had the crash.
If he wanted he could have had the case dismissed, but he convinced my family for the plea deal. Since I was newly on medicine and didn't have my mental illness in control I signed the plea. Now I have a misdemeanor.
Like you know how lawyers represent you and find an angle to fight your case, this guy never did that.

First of all let me start by saying that i was legitimately guilty.im pretty sure thats the first thing i told him.i have already been to prison for 5 years for manufacturing meth and delvery and sales of that same meth. Then i got charged with the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Let me mention they had a confession. However forced. They had it and the judge allowed it.hear this next part loud and clear for you real criminals who read this.minmum mandatory for this charge is 3 years in prison.that means by law i can get no less than 3 years but thats exactly what happened. The way he operates in a courtroom is amazing.they changed prosecutors 3 times because in hearings he made them look like beginners. Until they got their best guy.a real hard ass for wanting to win.and in the end i did 6 hours in jail.he sent his personal bail bondsman to the jail and had my bail posted with no money. Yes .u read this right.he also took my case on payments. And when i fell behind he let me work off some cash.who does this?no one right.well the classy people at the nejame law firm did that but more specifically mike lafay did this..also i never had to take off work for court in this year long process.i think i went a total of three times.in the end i got four years probation after the case was over and i was serving my probation he continued to be my attorney. He filed for early term two times at no extra charge.and i have been a free man for two months now.i have gained my freedom and a friend from one bad ass lawyer.#superman @ Michael Lafay. I truly beleive if had any other attorney i would have been sent back to prison on the express line.
