Joseph Abrams acted as the legal representative for my brother in a federal case involving the illegal trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, which are regarded as the top adversaries to the United States. Originally, my brother faced a punishment of 10-20 years behind bars. However, utilizing Joseph's extensive knowledge and expertise, the sentence was successfully reduced to 27 months. This outcome brings us immense joy and gratitude. Thank you Mr. Abrams.

Finding and choosing Dan Chambers was the best decision our family ever made. My brother was facing some extremely serious charges, including attempted murder, with an estimated 15 years to life of prison time ahead of him. As a family with limited financial resources, we knew we had to make the right choice the first time, and we’re so thankful we found Dan. From the very beginning, Dan's team was nothing short of amazing. When I first spoke with Lorena, Dan’s wife, she instantly made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to meet Dan in person. That meeting was a turning point for us. Dan’s demeanor, confidence, and extensive experience in fighting difficult cases immediately reassured us that we were in the right hands. Over the course of the next nine months, Dan tirelessly worked on our brother's case, both inside and outside the courtroom. What started as an attempted murder charge with an approximation of 15 years to life in prison was gradually reduced to, two years of probation with no jail time. This was nothing short of a miracle!!! Dan Chambers is not just an attorney; he is a dedicated advocate who genuinely cares about his clients and their families. His professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support gave us hope during one of the most challenging times in our lives. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jessica, Dan’s assistant, and the entire team for their support and compassion. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you with everything he’s got, who will stand by your side and guide you through the darkest of times, Dan Chambers is the one you need. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Our family is forever thankful for the incredible outcome he achieved. Thank you, Dan, from the bottom of our hearts.

My partner and I had the pleasure of working with Dan Chamberlain , and I can confidently say he is the most honest and respectful lawyer I've ever encountered. My partner and I wholeheartedly recommend him.I trusted my instincts, and he truly delivered on his promises. He was always responsive, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made us feel valued throughout the process. What truly stood out was how transparent Dan was about fees. After our case concluded, he took the initiative to review our billing and promptly refunded us the amount that wasn't used. This level of honesty is rare in the legal field, and it speaks volumes about his commitment to clients. If you’re looking for a lawyer who genuinely cares about his clients and works tirelessly for their best interests, look no further! Thank you for your excellent service! Sandra And Awad

I’m so thankful for Dan and the chambers law firm, after 2 1/2 years of fighting my case while using another lawyer and my case was at a stand still, I decided to hire Dan instead because I heard great things about him. He was able to get all charges dropped for me within a couple of months. Anybody in need of a lawyer that dedicates his time to his cases, this is the lawyer to go to. Thanks to Dan and his team I got another chance at life. -Robert Gomez

I was looking at this site and saw the negative review from the guy whose case was dismissed and I am surprised that he was complaining about a dismissal. I had Mr. McBride deal with a Felony Assault with a Weapon arrest back in 2010 and I was happy with both the result (no conviction on my record) and the service (he immediately presented my issues to a supervising District Attorney). I would use this office again without hesitation as the fee was a fraction of what other lawyers charged for this. Maybe things changed or maybe the other client really had different expectations than I did but, I don't see how you can complain about a dismissal?

I was arrested on a restraining order violation. Hired Mr. McBride as my attorney. This was a very, very easy case for ANY attorney to have dismissed. My opponent had removed a critical part of the Judges order in the restraining order which prohibited me from being arrested. When the Sheriffs did not see that order, I was arrested. Mr. McBride spoke to the District Attorney assigned to my case and immediately showed the DA the discrepancy in the two restraining orders: One said I could not be arrested (mine and the original courts), the other did not have that page (my opponents he gave to the Sheriff for evidence). The DA immediately asked Mr. McBride, "How do I know your client did not write that himself and stick it in there?" (fair question). Mr. McBride said, "You don't. I don't. Get the original court order and get back to me." When the DA obtained the original court order and saw the original and mine were identical and my opponents copy had that critical page missing, the DA knew immediately that page was removed and, knowing there was no way the DA would win this case, dismissed the case before trial. Easy case to have dismissed before trial. Why so few stars when he won my case? Having Mr. McBride return phone calls was a case in futility. This attorney just NEVER corresponds with his clients. In my case, the first meeting with Mr. McBride and the DA was in November. The case was continued until Dec 18th for the DA to receive the original court order. After December 18, I did call Mr. McBride a couple times, hoping to get an update before the Christmas break. No such luck. I phoned Mr. McBride at least 10 times in January. Never a return call. I phoned Mr. McBride at least 5 times in February until he finally answered his phone. I asked him for an update on my case. He said the case was dismissed back in December. I asked why he didn't call me or send me an email or a text to let me know that it was dismissed. Mr. McBride said, "The court should have done that." No Sir. You're MY attorney. I hired YOU. YOU do that. Not the courts. That's what you get from Mr. McBride. Good luck receiving updates or a courtesy return phone call. I'm sure when Mr. McBride improves on this much needed aspect of his practice, his ratings will dramatically improve as well.

What a Sex Crime Lawyer Can Do for You

A sex crime lawyer specializes in defending individuals accused of sexual offenses, which can include charges such as sexual assault, rape, indecent exposure, child pornography, solicitation, and other related crimes. Being charged with a sex crime carries severe legal and social consequences, including potential imprisonment, mandatory registration as a sex offender, fines, and long-term stigma. A sex crime lawyer has the expertise to navigate the complex legal system, protect your rights, and develop a strategic defense to achieve the best possible outcome for your case.

When Should I Hire a Sex Crime Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a sex crime lawyer immediately if:

  • You are under investigation: If law enforcement contacts you for questioning or you become aware that you are a suspect in a sex crime investigation, it's crucial to seek legal representation before speaking with authorities.
  • You have been arrested or charged: Promptly hiring a lawyer upon arrest or formal charges allows for early intervention in your case, which can be critical for your defense.
  • Searches and seizures have occurred: If your property, such as your home or electronic devices, has been searched or seized in connection with a sex crime investigation, a lawyer can help protect your rights.
  • You are facing related legal issues: If you're dealing with restraining orders, custody disputes, or other legal matters stemming from the allegations, a lawyer can provide comprehensive legal support.

What Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Do?

A sex crime lawyer provides a range of legal services to defend and support you throughout the legal process:

  • Legal consultation and advice: They will explain the charges against you, outline your rights, and advise you on the best course of action.
  • Case investigation: The lawyer will conduct a thorough investigation, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and identifying inconsistencies or weaknesses in the prosecution's case.
  • Defense strategy development: They will develop a tailored defense strategy, which may include challenging the credibility of evidence, disputing the legality of how evidence was obtained, or presenting alternative explanations.
  • Negotiating with prosecutors: Your lawyer can negotiate plea bargains or reduced charges when appropriate, aiming to minimize potential penalties.
  • Court representation: They will represent you in all court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and sentencing, advocating on your behalf.
  • Protecting your rights: The lawyer ensures that your constitutional rights are upheld throughout the legal process, including protection against unlawful searches, coerced confessions, or violations of due process.
  • Post-trial assistance: If necessary, they can assist with appeals, sentence modifications, or matters related to sex offender registration.

How Are Sex Crime Lawyers Paid?

Sex crime lawyers typically charge for their services in one of the following ways:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee for the time spent working on your case. Rates can vary widely based on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fee: A set amount that covers specific services or the entirety of your case, which can provide cost predictability.
  • Retainer fee: An upfront payment from which the lawyer deducts hourly fees and expenses as they work on your case. You may need to replenish the retainer if it is exhausted.
  • Payment plans: Some lawyers offer payment arrangements to make their services more affordable over time.

It's important to discuss payment structures and fees during your initial consultation to understand the financial commitment involved.

How Much Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a sex crime lawyer depends on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the severity of the charges, and the lawyer's experience. General cost estimates are:

  • Hourly rates: Typically range from $200 to $500 or more per hour.
  • Flat fees: For less complex cases, flat fees might range from $5,000 to $25,000.
  • Total costs: Complex cases involving extensive investigation or a trial can cost $25,000 to $100,000 or more.
  • Additional costs: May include expert witness fees, investigative expenses, and court fees.

Always request a detailed fee agreement and discuss potential additional costs to avoid unexpected expenses.

    • Arrest records
    • Charging documents
    • Bail paperwork
    • Search warrants
    • Any correspondence from law enforcement or the court
  • Witness information: Provide names and contact information of any potential witnesses who can support your defense.
  • Evidence: Bring any physical evidence or records that may be relevant, such as emails, text messages, or social media interactions.
  • List of questions: Prepare questions about your case, the legal process, and the lawyer's experience.
  • Honesty: Be prepared to discuss all details openly and honestly; attorney-client privilege ensures confidentiality.
  • Goals and objectives: Be clear about what you hope to achieve, whether it's dismissing charges, reducing penalties, or addressing registration as a sex offender.
