Choosing a injury firm for my car accident and or injury case was crucial to getting my life back, and I'm so glad I met Mr. Broderick and his legal team. Their approach immediately instilled confidence and trust in me. Throughout my case, despite the a couple of slowdowns in the process, Brandon kept me well-informed about every development and vigorously pursued the insurance company. They achieved a settlement that left me completely satisfied. Brandon Broderick's firm stands out for being thorough, proactive, highly knowledgeable in personal injury complexities, and always putting their client's interests at the forefront. I wholeheartedly endorse injury attorney Brandon Broderick for anyone needing an expert to help you get the best settlement.

Joe, as someone else said, is "The best of the best" for estate planning purposes and estate matters. He is extremely busy so sometimes he comes off as being abrupt. My parents used his services, their friends used his services and now I use his services. You will do yourself a big favor using Joe for your estate planning - he loves what he does and he does it so well.

Tracey Daniels and Seamus McDonough helped us in the sale of a 1-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. They were both knowledgeable and great communicators and the cost for their services was fair. I highly recommend Daniels O'Connell PC.

I had a difficult time communicating with Tracey. Specifically, I asked her to "clarify" why the final bill was more than "twice" the estimate she gave. Her response was "I will put down my pen" if you do not pay. No clarification. In fact her response is against the code of ethics for the New York Bar which advocates resolving disputes "amicably". Tracey was not resolving disputes "amicably" in this instance. In fact, she is often less than "amicable", and unprofessional, if she feels challenged. As well, her office "makes mistakes". For example, I have the same documents notarized "twice" because they "expired". The reason they "expired" is because we were missing a Certificate of Death. I expect Tracey to be on top of required documentation and not come up "short" the last minute. Bottom line, the transaction took six months because of Tracey's lack of attention to details (such as the missing Certificate of Death). To rub salt on the wound, she charged more than twice the estimate because it took "so long" to close. Do not recommend.

After firing my first TWO LAWYERS, I was finally relieved to have found Natalia. I had just escaped an abusive relationship and my ex decided he wanted to sue me for custody of our 1 yr old son.. (Even though he never showed any interest in being a father until I got the courage to leave him) He was incredibly skilled at playing the victim and I needed someone who was able to not only recognize this but to have the ability to present the truth to the judge. From our first consultation, I knew I finally found the right representation with Natalia. She was incredibly intelligent, attentive and perceptive. She helped me to navigate this nightmare with such professionalism and tenacity. After 2 1/2 years of litigation, the judge in fact saw that my ex dragged me to court under “self serving” purposes and awarded me Sole Legal AND Physical custody with permission to relocate out of state. This was a complex case and if not for Natalia’s wisdom and expertise, not to mention compassion, I don’t know where my son and I would be today. Lawyers are a dime a dozen but very few actually CARE about their clients. This is definitely what sets Natalia apart from all the rest. I highly recommend her if you find yourself in a contentious custody and/or divorce case. She will keep you grounded, focused and empowered with knowledge of applicable state laws.

Amazing. If you are thinking about making a big decision in your life financially, Mr. James J. Rufo is the lawyer to go to. I was ignorant about bankruptcy as a whole and he guided me through this process with everything I needed to know and made me feel it was okay to make this decision. By choosing him and decide to file, it felt like the weight was lifted on my shoulders of financial burden. Thank you James.

What a Sex Crime Lawyer Can Do for You

A sex crime lawyer specializes in defending individuals accused of sexual offenses, which can include charges such as sexual assault, rape, indecent exposure, child pornography, solicitation, and other related crimes. Being charged with a sex crime carries severe legal and social consequences, including potential imprisonment, mandatory registration as a sex offender, fines, and long-term stigma. A sex crime lawyer has the expertise to navigate the complex legal system, protect your rights, and develop a strategic defense to achieve the best possible outcome for your case.

When Should I Hire a Sex Crime Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a sex crime lawyer immediately if:

  • You are under investigation: If law enforcement contacts you for questioning or you become aware that you are a suspect in a sex crime investigation, it's crucial to seek legal representation before speaking with authorities.
  • You have been arrested or charged: Promptly hiring a lawyer upon arrest or formal charges allows for early intervention in your case, which can be critical for your defense.
  • Searches and seizures have occurred: If your property, such as your home or electronic devices, has been searched or seized in connection with a sex crime investigation, a lawyer can help protect your rights.
  • You are facing related legal issues: If you're dealing with restraining orders, custody disputes, or other legal matters stemming from the allegations, a lawyer can provide comprehensive legal support.

What Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Do?

A sex crime lawyer provides a range of legal services to defend and support you throughout the legal process:

  • Legal consultation and advice: They will explain the charges against you, outline your rights, and advise you on the best course of action.
  • Case investigation: The lawyer will conduct a thorough investigation, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and identifying inconsistencies or weaknesses in the prosecution's case.
  • Defense strategy development: They will develop a tailored defense strategy, which may include challenging the credibility of evidence, disputing the legality of how evidence was obtained, or presenting alternative explanations.
  • Negotiating with prosecutors: Your lawyer can negotiate plea bargains or reduced charges when appropriate, aiming to minimize potential penalties.
  • Court representation: They will represent you in all court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and sentencing, advocating on your behalf.
  • Protecting your rights: The lawyer ensures that your constitutional rights are upheld throughout the legal process, including protection against unlawful searches, coerced confessions, or violations of due process.
  • Post-trial assistance: If necessary, they can assist with appeals, sentence modifications, or matters related to sex offender registration.

How Are Sex Crime Lawyers Paid?

Sex crime lawyers typically charge for their services in one of the following ways:

  • Hourly rate: Charging an hourly fee for the time spent working on your case. Rates can vary widely based on the lawyer's experience and location.
  • Flat fee: A set amount that covers specific services or the entirety of your case, which can provide cost predictability.
  • Retainer fee: An upfront payment from which the lawyer deducts hourly fees and expenses as they work on your case. You may need to replenish the retainer if it is exhausted.
  • Payment plans: Some lawyers offer payment arrangements to make their services more affordable over time.

It's important to discuss payment structures and fees during your initial consultation to understand the financial commitment involved.

How Much Does a Sex Crime Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a sex crime lawyer depends on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the severity of the charges, and the lawyer's experience. General cost estimates are:

  • Hourly rates: Typically range from $200 to $500 or more per hour.
  • Flat fees: For less complex cases, flat fees might range from $5,000 to $25,000.
  • Total costs: Complex cases involving extensive investigation or a trial can cost $25,000 to $100,000 or more.
  • Additional costs: May include expert witness fees, investigative expenses, and court fees.

Always request a detailed fee agreement and discuss potential additional costs to avoid unexpected expenses.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a sex crime lawyer, bring the following:

  • Detailed account of events: Write down everything you remember about the incident, including dates, times, locations, and any conversations.
  • Legal documents: Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Arrest records
    • Charging documents
    • Bail paperwork
    • Search warrants
    • Any correspondence from law enforcement or the court
  • Witness information: Provide names and contact information of any potential witnesses who can support your defense.
  • Evidence: Bring any physical evidence or records that may be relevant, such as emails, text messages, or social media interactions.
  • List of questions: Prepare questions about your case, the legal process, and the lawyer's experience.
  • Honesty: Be prepared to discuss all details openly and honestly; attorney-client privilege ensures confidentiality.
  • Goals and objectives: Be clear about what you hope to achieve, whether it's dismissing charges, reducing penalties, or addressing registration as a sex offender.

By being thoroughly prepared, you enable the lawyer to assess your situation effectively and provide the best possible legal advice tailored to your case.
