Choosing a lawyer with or without a referral is risky, and reviews can be misleading.
When I Ianded in Steve Glickman's office over a decade ago, cold and without a recommendation, I took the kind of chance that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I got lucky....because of Steve's character. YES, he has deep knowledge, years of experience, and is attentive. Aside from that, Steve has repeatedly proven that he can be trusted. He has unwavering ethics and integrity. At vulnerable points in time, we often can't see through the fog. In retrospect, the empathy and emotional intelligence he applied, that I didn't even realize at the time, is striking. Things could've been a disaster absent his guidance.
Over years, Steve has skillfully handled the simple to complex for me. It's his exceptional qualities that elevate him above the pack. I highly recommend him.

I met with Steve a couple of years ago and I have been working with him since then on various employment issues. When I met with him, I had few employees who left the companies that I own, and they were conspiring and determined to sabotage my businesses. Mr. Glickman understood the complexity of the situation very well, and was able to break them away very easily and dissolved their bad intensions.
He is very knowledgeable about various employment laws, and on top of it, he is very sincere and honest man. He provides his experience handy at different scenarios and situations. He also works very well along my other business lawyer.
I highly recommend him to any business of any size. His strategy is proven to work. I even consult with him on any legal matter even if it is outside of what he does, because of the amount of trust I build around him and his knowledge of the law in general.

Steve was incredibly thoughtful, patient and knowledgeable when helping me navigate a separation agreement with a previous employer. I had involved him probably too late in the process, but he was able to help me remedy a few of my missteps and figure out best course of action, support my interactions when negotiating new agreement and final outcome was very much to my satisfaction. Ethan is a very thorough and competent professional. I gave notice to my company that I was leaving for a competitor and two days before my last day, the Company decided to take issue with where I was going. They tried to have me sign various documents before I left that would encumber my ability towork. They claimed that I had already signed documents years ago but they could not produce them to me. Ethan immediately got involved and in a professional manner, he worked with the Company's attorney to work out an exit plan. He also spoke with my new employer to make sure that they knew what was going on and that the matter was being handled. Most importantly, he made sure that both companies were comfortable with my actions and knew that I acted with integrity. I felt he always had my best interest in mind. When you are terminated, regardless of the reason, you find yourself lost a sea. The self doubt, negative self talk and second guessing can cripple you. Catherine represented me in an employment law case and every encounter was compassionate. I was never just a call she made that day. She explained, double explained then over explained to make sure I knew what was happening in my case. She stood up for me against my former employer and helped me regain the self confidence I lost due to my termination. Absolutely the best legal experience I've heard from anyone and arrival at justice in a difficult case. My company used an IME which lied. I worked with Keating Law offices and the attorney that helped me was Jack Dassow. I had searched a while for a law firm, and no one would take my case, but Jack and his team believed in me and was able to help me. I was able to get the most amount of settlement per the type of case. I was also able to get compensation for my Bike as well. Hopefully I won't have any issue in the future with any more accidents but if I do I will definitely be giving them a call. Really great law firm and team!!!

I was initially referred to Z Wang & Associates in 2013 by a friend of mine. My parents met with Zhidong Wang when he traveled back to China in 2013–2014, and we decided to start the EB-5 process with Z Wang & Associates as our immigration attorneys. We first filed the I-526 in September 2015 and received approval in September 2016. We filed the I-485 in April 2020 and had it approved in July 2022. In May 2024, we filed the I-829 and received approval in December 2024. We are glad that, after this 9-year wait, we have finally completed the entire EB-5 process and had our conditions removed.
Over the years, we worked with Dora Zang, Jamie Hossa, Jeff Cheng, and Zhidong Wang, who were always able to answer our questions whenever we needed help. We truly appreciate their time and assistance over the past nine years! We will contact them again for the N-400 process and any future green card applications for my parents.

She was defending us in a civil lawsuit, we were paying her, and then she stopped answering emails, texts, the phone, etc. Just went dark. Just dropped us. We lost our case. We wanted to sue her, but were told IL does not require attorneys to get malpractice insurance and it would be a waste of our time and money. If you hire her, demand she show you a policy.

Lisa Stauff was my attorney for many years so I know her well. She was consistently very difficult to communicate with, sometimes taking a few months to get back to me about my case.
But the worst is that after paying her thousands of dollars over the years, she failed to reply to the court on a motion to dismiss my case. The Judge gave Lisa multiple chances to file a reply but she failed to do so. The Judge had no choice but to dismiss my case.
On top of that, Lisa has not even communicated the dismissal of my case to me. I had to write the Judge to find out the status of my case and its been two years.
