I am a firm believer in giving credit to where credit is due. I have tried twice to prove my disability case but was denied twice I spoke to Mr Fine-gold I hired him on the spot and this case took some time to finally come to a stop just last month He won my case we had a court hearing and he batted for me tooth and nail even at times speaking load proving his point when it was needed he was like a lion . I was in shock because every time we spoke he was always low in speaking. That day I seen another part of Richard that I never seen before. I applied for Social Security Disability on Guam in 2004. I was disapproved for the claim twice but I had to relocate to Hawaii because Guam had no Social Security Advocate back then. I selected an Associate of Mr. Frederick J. Daley. Since then Mr. Daley kept me informed to the progress of my case from the Social Security Administrative Judge, to the District Court, and to the Court of Appeals. When my case was finally given back to the Administrative Judge for the final disposition Mr. Daley traveled from Chicago to Hawaii for the hearing. I understand that my case took the longest that he represented.

When we encounter the denial of our Long Term Disability claim with Standard Insurance, we were looking for legal representation and were prior denied by 3 Attorneys, all stating that Standard was very hard to deal with and they didn't see a chance that we could win. We kept looking and where referred to Mister DeBofsky. He agreed with that prior statement, but nevertheless, he took the time to see all our details and was experienced enough to find the right strategy, after all he is a very well respected expert in this field. That shows in all his dealings and the correspondence with us and the Insurance company. I have had this group since early last year to help with a disability case, I was assigned one attorney then was handed another shortly after who did absolutely nothing it seems. I was never contacted for any updates and when I was it was because I had to write several emails or leave messages. I'm still waiting for disability and haven't heard nothing from this supposed attorney in the last couple of months. Don't hire them as they'll only waste your time.

I had a case with them several years ago. This firm did OK work on my case. I could tell they are a high volume personal injury firm. They did adequate work on my case, and I was happy with what I walked away with.
I regret not going back to them. Instead, I tried another firm (and instead left kind of a nasty, albeit truthful comment on their Google review board.).

I swear if I can give 0 stars I would, this firm has been handling my case since 2023, and I dun had 3 different lawyers while dealing with my case WHY??? I don’t know they don’t communicate with their clients AT ALL and I’ve been lied to multiple times about my offer status. I will not recommend this firm to anyone ESPECIALLY due to their lack of communication with their attorneys. After my dad passed away in April 2024, my mom and I filed for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) through the VA. Despite working with a VA liaison and following up for 10 months, we received no real updates—just that the claim was still pending. Then, my mom received a notice from the VA, which she mistakenly believed was a denial of the DIC claim. Unfortunately, even the local VA liaison misinterpreted it, causing a lot of confusion. Given that my dad’s passing was clearly linked to his disability, we realized we needed legal representation and turned to James Comerford.
From our first conversation, James took the time to listen, understand our situation, and guide us through the process. Initially, we thought we needed to file a rebuttal, but after investigating, he discovered the VA had actually misinformed us—the claim was still being processed. He assured us he would follow up, and shortly after, he called with the great news: the claim had been approved. Not only did he get us answers, but he also knew exactly when my mom would receive her benefits, including back pay.
When I asked James what we owed him, he refused payment—he was simply happy my mom received what she deserved. Even after I insisted, he suggested we make a donation to a charity instead, which we did. His generosity, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients truly set him apart.

I worked with Keating Law offices and the attorney that helped me was Jack Dassow. I had searched a while for a law firm, and no one would take my case, but Jack and his team believed in me and was able to help me. It’s so tough to know what to do when you are broke, injured, and giving up on the system that was supposed to be there as you were for them. After years (since 2005) I have been fighting for a quality of life that the VA wouldn’t provide me. I tried the DMV, VFW, and paying medical doctors out of my pocket to keep getting denied.
