It is very rare that I take the time to write a review, much less a recommendation letter but my experience with the Peck Group, specifically Jason Peck warrants the effort.
In 2019 I found myself in a major predicament. An LLC I had invested in several years prior had neglected to pay required taxes including payroll trust fund taxes. To make matters worse I was designated as a "responsible party", even though I was just a passive investor and had nothing to do with the company's operations.
I contacted an attorney I had used in the past for various business purposes to seek advice. He immediately recommended that I contact Jason Peck.
After my initial consultation with Jason I knew I was at the right place. Jason did not sugarcoat the situation. He explained to me how seriously the IRS takes payroll trust fund tax violations and the fact that my official time to challenge my designation expired only made it a bigger hurdle. But he also confidently stated that although my situation was "out of the box", his job was to find someone within the IRS hierarchy that would not only listen to the facts but also have the authority to over turn an unjust situation. Jason then facilitated a "compromise" action with the IRS.
In April of 2020, my financial advisor/broker informed me that the IRS had levied several hundred thousand dollars from my account which required that my account be liquidated!
I immediately called Jason in a panic. The first thing Jason did was tell me to "take a deep breath" and committed that he would do everything possible to rectify the situation. The first thing Jason did was contact my broker, assure him that a mistake had been made and implore him not to do anything with my account. Jason then obtained from my broker the specific IRS agent that facilitated the garnish process. Within a couple of hours Jason contacted the IRS agent, convinced him that a mistake had definitely been made, and got the IRS agent to immediately provide documentation to the brokerage house that indeed a mistake had been.....all accomplished within 24 hours!
Jason's efforts didn't stop there. Over the next several months Jason was persistent to find that "person" within the IRS who again, would listen and had authority. Eventually Jason identified the correct IRS employee to address my situation. Jason successfully argued and IRS agreed that I was NOT a "responsible party"!
Obviously, I was ecstatic about the final outcome, but it was how Jason conducted himself throughout the process that has made such an impression on me. From day one Jason made an effort to know all the facts regarding my case; not only asking many initial questions but following up on several occasions just to make sure there was nothing overlooked. He consistently reached out to let me know the status of my case, even when it was to tell me there was nothing to report. I never felt I was falling through the cracks but rather felt that my case was important to him.
So with that said, it should be no surprise that I HIGHLY recommend the Peck Group to represent, whether it's an individual or company, anyone who finds themselves with any tax litigation issues.

After contacting multiple attorneys and failed to get satisfactory response from each of them I fortunately was referred to Alyssa by a closing attorney. Alyssa received my call and talked to me 42 minutes to listen to my problem. I was amazed the way she responded. She took my case very seriously with passion. We faced a potential and mounting state tax liability. Mr. Litwin has unique expertise in state and local taxation. He was able to hone in on the state tax issues that we faced and without having to spend unnecessary time (and fees) researching our issues. Everett helped me understand and avoid possible tax consequences to an insurance settlement I was going to receive. As what some would consider being a 'high asset' client...my case was MUCH more difficult than most. I make that statement confidently due to the fact that I visited nothing short of 10 attorneys prior to moving forward with Howard's team. Thankfully I visited Howard late enough in my schedule of attorney interviews to KNOW what differentiates in terms of knowledge base, dependability and overall skillset.
Howard was thorough and obviously heads above. In my interviews I got 2 'yes' and 8 'no.' Howard knew what he was doing and got it done- for literally the SAME cost as the competition.

I came to Mr. Rothblooms office to seek counsel for a issue whereby a major furniture company that filed bancruptcy was seeking to claw back from me over $10,000 that I was paid for services rendered. Additionally, this very same company owed me money which I assumed I would never see again.
I was represented by an associate of this firm, Adam who gave me his full attention, instilled in me the confidence that he would represent me aggressively and professionally. In 2014 I discovered failure of my office mgr./bkkp to payroll taxes . This employee had been with our Company for 27 years. Upon further investigation serious embezzlement was discovered.
