John assisted us with creating a comprehensive estate plan for our family to include wills, powers of attorney, and additional documents required for our situation. We did not have a prior plan. I moved to Houston in April, and my welcome was " being hit from behind, while at a red light ".
I was recommended an attorney that would later prove to have absolutely no integrity leaving me no choice accept to release him and search for a new attorney.
Best decision I ever made was to retain Attorney Todd White!
His demeanor is a quiet one, not to be mistaken for weakness. Mr. White showed me great and immediate assistance. His staff definitely represents him well. My experience with his employees was one that made me feel like a family member. Warm ,caring and professional.

Ricky was quick to respond to my message, even though it was clear that I probably only needed a quick phone call to answer my questions. I would highly recommend Lawrence Dietlein Jr. I was referred to Mr. Dietlein Jr. by a friend and a well know Houston realtor (Melvin Reyna of the Reyna Group). Mr. Dietlein probated my mother's will for me in an appropriate amount of time. His fee was very reasonable for the expert advice and assistance he gave to me through the whole process. he never tired of answering the numerous questions I had along the way about the complicated process of probating a will and all the issues that come with probating a will. I was able to sell my mother's home at a time when the housing market was at it's peak in July 2021. Mr. Dietlein had made the probate process smooth and successful and quick the whole time allowing me to get ready to sell her house quickly. He is truly remarkable and personable and I greatly appreciated his expert assistance.

I was recently referred to Rudy by another Houston lawyer to represent me in a will contest case because of his expertise in probate. I found him to be very professional, knowledgable and thorough. We settled the case in mediation, but I wouldn't have hesitated in taking the case to court had it not been for the amount of time and costs involved to do so. My wife and I hired Amy to update our will, and create a small trust for our children. She was very thorough in her questioning during the process, and helped us identify some concerns that we need to address through the will. She was very helpful, and willing to work with us to develop the documents including the will and trust, and we were able to complete all of the work on budget.
I also asked Amy to review an overly complex employee stock ownership agreement from my employer. She was extremely thorough, and in fact identified a key factor in this agreement that impacted my will. I could tell she worked very hard on this, and was very complete in her summary report.

Although my wife and I had a will in place, we were looking for legal assistance to address a trust needed for a planned distribution for our grown daughter, spouse and grandchildren.

I am happy to give my strongest recommendation to Mr. Souza. I hired him to help me draft a prenuptial agreement and what I thought was going to be a painful process turned out to be just fine!
He clearly has integrity and you can tell when he plainly tells you what to expect and how the process works. I always felt that I had his complete attention when we spoke and whenever I emailed him, he emailed me back very quickly.

I engaged Mr. Souza to re-write my Will and accompanying estate planning documents. He was very efficient and knew all of the correct and important questions to ask. He was very focused on me as a client, and I had his undivided attention at all of our meetings. If I specified something in my Will that would not have played out the way I expected during probate, he was quick to catch those issues and offer alternative ways of dealing with them that would create the outcome I was looking for.
He is young and just getting started, but I have to say that he is smart, alert and represented my interests effectively. I can now rest assured that if something happens to me, the Will that Mr. Souza prepared ensures that my wishes will be carried out to my expectations.

After a 1+ month attorney screen and search, C.E. Schmidt & Associates was selected by me to petition for a divorce with children case in Harris County, TX, on basis of; style, manner, outlook, fee structure, Harris County Clerk records, State Bar of Texas records, Judge re-election committee relationships, social media posts and a Texas Ethics Commission check. I have found the Schmidt team to be highly pragmatic, considered, thorough, research-orientated, experienced, available, compassionate, mature and non-dramatic. The team is family and faith-based, and endeavors to avoid unnecessary and wasteful legal fees out of consideration for your post-divorce life. The team will present options when options exist, and not try to unnecessarily litigate for the benefit of themselves. An appropriate balance of attorney and paralegal billing happens at C.E. They skipped our consultation call. No message or reason given. I tried to call them after, and no one answered. One would expect a law firm to honor their appointments.
Edit: Their reply is disingenuous. They did not attempt to call me, at least based on what my phone records show, until several hours after our scheduled call. Which, coincidentally if we are being generous, was after I left this review.
They call my opinion "misplaced and ill-informed." What about it is factually incorrect? If what I said is not true, then why make excuses after? And why have a calendar that shows nearly every available time slot is still open?
A lawyer should choose his words more carefully.

I experienced traumatic malicious litigation by an ex-fiance who brought suit claiming common law marriage despite never having married (this was in retaliation for filing an eviction action against him and refusing to return to the relationship and I owed multiple properties that he wanted to lay claim too). Despite protective orders, the court mandated mediation. While I dreaded the thought knowing this man was not in any state of mind to be reasoned with, I couldn't avoid it. If I had to do mediation, I wanted it to be the least traumatic experience possible. I represented myself, by the way, and I called several mediators and spoke to them directly to get a feel for their style. I wanted someone who I felt was patient, empathetic, compassionate, and had expertise in family law mediation. I also needed someone who could handle a high conflict case. A number of mediators had legal assistants that were misstating law (I also happen to be an attorney) and some assistants and mediators themselves felt short, rigid, and cold (please know you can ask to speak with the prospective mediator, if even briefly--you won't regret it. Get a feel for who you are working with because mediation can be stressful. You deserve someone who doesn't add to the stress. And, I did not like many of the mediators I spoke with). Tammy took the time to speak with me. She was sharp, smart, professional, and warm. I felt immediate relief knowing she would be working with us (note that the other side has to agree to the mediator and we disagreed on many, but Tammy was on the firm's list of approved mediators--thank God!). Day of mediation, I was scheduled to receive an award right after we were scheduled to end. I didn't know if I would be able to receive it and deliver a speech given how traumatic the litigation had been. Tammy was kind and extremely efficient which allowed me to make it just in time for the event. Her compassion and empathy made the experience feel less traumatic and I was able to enjoy the event in a way I didn't think would be possible. Tammy costs slightly more than other mediators based on my research, BUT it was absolutely worth it. I think I would've away crying with some of these other mediators. Instead, I felt like I was treated fairly and humanely. In a wild turn of events, the other side refused to sign the mediation agreement in the final few minutes of mediation. If you knew the details of how bizarre this case is, you'd understand why. Still, I felt the process was fair and just. 2 hours later, opposing counsel filed a nonsuit. They changed the agreement language to allow my ex to dismiss without prejudice, which means he can still sue me at a later time. I have options to handle that, but all that aside, the nonsuit was most definitely inspired by Tammy's expertise and talent in the realm of mediation. I doubt he would have dismissed the case otherwise--he wasn't listening to anyone! And, even fired his former attorney when she said it was a bad case. It still wasn't sinking in when the judge herself said his attorney better talk to him because attorney's fees would be involved [if it turns out it was malicious--which I had a mountain of evidence for]. Tammy has to be a miracle worker because I think she finally broke through to him about the reality of the case. I know this is a really long review. I rarely leave reviews, but Tammy deserves it. It's been nearly 8 months of torture from this man, and I can finally breathe and move on and shine in the ways I did before this madness. Eternally grateful to Tammy and her team. All around excellent experience and recommend to any litigant or attorney who hopes for resolution outside of court. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Mediator of the year award!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Titus Law Firm in Houston, Texas. I paid them $8,000, expecting competent and professional representation, but instead encountered a complete lack of follow-through. Communication was lackluster at best; I left multiple messages for my attorney without receiving any meaningful updates.
To make matters worse, I only learned that they had withdrawn from my case when the State of Texas sent me an email informing me of their withdrawal. There was no courtesy call or direct communication from Titus Law Firm to inform me of this significant development. Considering that I live in another state, this lack of communication was particularly frustrating and unprofessional.
I initially hired this firm believing they had the expertise to handle my case, but that confidence quickly eroded due to their behavior. The unprofessionalism and disregard for my situation left me deeply dissatisfied. I would NEVER recommend Titus Law Firm to anyone seeking reliable legal representation.
