My brother committed suicide and left an estate with no beneficiary. Per the life insurance correspondence, we had no other choice but to go through probate. I reached out to this group in hopes that my nieces would get equal and fair treatment. 6 months into process I was notified that the benefits were paid out to one child because of falsified documents. Tom reached out to me only to tell me that the case was going to be dismissed and there was nothing else he would do. Tom informed me his counsel does not get into litigations and lengthy court dramas, so if your case isn’t “wam,bam, thank you ma’am”, his legal team is lacks tenacity to handle your case. Do your research, find a lawyer willing to fight for what is right, not a lawyer trying to make an easy dollar off your loved one’s death. 10 thumbs down, the law is the law and if you’re too scared to fight for whats right, why are you a lawyer?

I want to recognize the excellent experience we had with Megan Moghtaderi and her team. We had a situation where we needed a loan to the family trust in order to avoid triggering higher property taxes under Proposition 19, and we needed assistance with finalizing the distribution of the trust assets. We had been working with a previous attorney who was unable to complete the job, and time was of the essence.
Megan and her team obtained and reviewed the files from the previous attorney, worked with the loan company on a rush basis to calculate the distribution schedule and loan amount, facilitated the property transfer, filed the documentation with the assessor, and provided the documentation needed for taxes and beneficiary distribution.
Megan was clearly experienced and professional in handling this type of work, and was very patient and responsive to numerous emails and phone calls throughout the process. She was instrumental in finalizing the trust situation for us.
I will not hesitate to work with Megan in the future and highly recommend her for any trust needs.

I picked Monica randomly from your site because I needed a probate lawyer in a hurry and she had an opening the same day. My father had recently passed away without a will and had a reverse mortgage and I was in the process of adopting a baby who was being born that week, so I really needed someone to help me get my fathers affairs in order. When it comes to such sensitive matters as child custody, there’s no one else I would - or have - trusted more. Kyle is patient, but straight to the point. He listened to my laundry list of concerns and grievances, and illustrated great knowledge of the Family Law system by coming up with a concise plan based off of those concerns. The children should be the only “winners” in Family Law, and Kyle made sure of just that. It was a very difficult time, but he eased the process more than I could’ve imagined. I have asked for consultation from this called lawyer and he charged me $1,500 to process my immigration visa. Later I found out I can not obtain visa to visit my family in the US, when I asked for a refund, even though he did not spend more than 2 emails communicating basic information about my questions he refused to refund the money. He did not care to give me the professional recommendation, and did not really help much in anything but claimed he performed some hours of work to give me a copy paste answer from Google. I would never recommend to any one. Now I found this platform after 10 years, but I still remembered his name and I am happy to let others be aware before getting involved any any services through him.

I was referred to Catherine Grant Wieder by LA County Bar Association. I made an appointment with her and received an email confirming it. My father wanted to put his house in my name and make a living trust. Her secretary said that Catherine didn't have any appointment with me. I showed her the email on my cellphone. We had to wait for another 20 minutes. After Catherine looked at my father's assets she implied that I was taking advantage of my father. Then she said she wouldn't do the work but a couple in Claremont, CA would do the work and handled me their brochure. I would never recommend Catherine Grant Wieder. Luckily I found a nice lawyer who did my father's legal work with courtesy and respect.
