Donna and the team at RLG came highly recommended to me from someone that I highly respect. In the end, I chose this team and it proved to be the right decision for me without question. I am very thankful to have had this team working to ensure that I got the absolute best outcome possible. While the divorce process was awful, I cannot imagine going through it without this team. They are highly experienced, strategic, compassionate and really good people.

Attorney Chester has been referred to me by the online Montgomery Bar Association Referral Service. NO THE PHONE REFERRAL SERVICE, I have to underline that because they are incredible and do they best to assist. Back to Mr.Chester! I contacted him for a Condo Association dispute. first thing on the phone, He asked me what is the management company, I told him and he answered: " the company is owned by a good friend of his". Without being an attorney I spotted a conflict of interest right at the beginning of the conversation and the end of the conversation attests it and the lack of objectivity of this attorney. He found normal for a management company to hold a storage key of an owner for 2 years, He found normal a management company don't have and hold accurate and update paperwork. That management provide a 1989 ( 35 YEARS OLD) contract to be applied on a newly owned property of 2020. and so on. I definitely DO NOT recommend this attorney. He doesn't go to court to represent you or the law he studied!! This attorney response to the review show you should not even think going there. Jose Gutierrez here, grateful to share my release from federal prison after serving 19 1/2 years, facilitated by the First Step Act. Having originally received a 40-year sentence set to expire in 2039 for a drug case. My heartfelt and profound appreciation to my attorney Justin Eisele and the Seddiq Law team, whose tireless and pursuit of justice, but more importantly with expertise, served my freedom. Their unwavering advocacy during each procedure is a testament to their commitment and, tenaciously, will fight for your rights, just as they did for me. I highly recommend that the Seddiq Law team vigorously champion your case. I know this at first hand the Seddiq Law team, and most definitely, Justin Eisele will relentless advocacy for you like they did for me it proves that 2nd chances are possible, and I'm living proof that there's hope on the other side. Overall, Attorney Justin Eisele and Seddiq Law are the best. Mr. Justin Eisele, thank you for your devoted time and for bringing me home to my family.

Justin was great! I had a case that was very unsettling & had no luck with my previous attorneys making progress. Justin got my case & within a day was prompt to communicate & advocate for me. All in all Justin got my case dismissed & helped walk me through the process of getting it expunged from my record. Thanks so much Justin I’ll definitely use him again if i need an attorney in the future!

My wife and I had some irrevocable trusts from many years ago that were never really explained to us. We talked with Ms. Johnson, who sat down with us and explained how they worked, and more importantly, what the tax issues were. This is the first time anyone explained what they were for. We hired Ms. Johnson to update our estate plan and fix the trusts.

I was referred to Cheryl after my father passed away. He had set up Trusts for me and my brother and sister and I was the initial Trustee. Cheryl was excellent in helping me deal with my father's estate and setting up the three Trusts. Until my father passed, we had no idea that our inheritance would be in the form of irrevocable Trusts instead of outright to us. Cheryl helped us to make sure that we did not violate the terms of the Trusts. She helped us set them up to make them irrevocable and she gave us detailed instructions about how to manage the Trusts so that we did not violate my father's wishes. She also helped with the probate estate. Cheryl is helping us with ongoing Trust Administration, including taxes. We would be lost without her.

My wife and I were referred to Ms. Johnson by our financial advisor, who said that we may have to pay estate taxes. We met with Ms. Johnson and she did an amazing job explaining complex tax concepts to us--she used diagrams and had prepared a strategy guide for us before our first meeting. We ended up hiring her to draft our wills and trusts and to draft two advanced irrevocable trusts (GRATs) that moved some assets out of our taxable estates. We never knew that these GRATs existed or how they worked!

My experience with Mr. Kan was great! I ran into a few questions when I was trying to figure out where to even start for a will and for power of attorney for my parents. I told Mr. Kan some of my concerns and he responded in such a quick and professional manner. For power of attorney, it was an agreement between my sibling and I. We both did not understand some of the definitions within the document, but Mr. Kan definitely took his time to send us additional info via email and an explanation in person during our meeting. Furthermore, I liked that he gave us both a paper copy and sent our documents electronically for future use. He also provided information on how to register my parents' wills in our county's register of wills which I was not aware of. Mr. Kan was knowledgable with the advance medical directive as well. All of my questions and concerns have been addressed and I know that I can fully trust and depend on Mr. Kan as my lawyer. Such a wonderful individual to work with!

Richard handled setting our estate plan a couple years ago and I continue to be in touch with him about other issues and concerns. During our estate plan, Richard was very patient and flexible in walking us through the process. One of the reasons I wanted to work with Richard on such an important area was because of how trustworthy he is. More than once, it was clear he could have charged us more money for certain things but was so honorably transparent about ensuring we didn't spend money on areas we didn't need to. This is exceedingly rare in all manner or business and that's why Richard is a gem. I recommend him highly.

What a Trusts Lawyer Can Do for You

A trusts lawyer specializes in creating and managing trusts, which are legal entities that allow individuals to transfer assets to beneficiaries while maintaining control over how and when those assets are distributed. Trusts are used for estate planning, asset protection, tax planning, and ensuring the financial security of loved ones. Trusts lawyers help clients choose the right type of trust for their needs, draft trust documents, and advise on the administration and management of trusts.

Whether you're planning to pass on your assets to your heirs, protect your wealth from creditors, or provide for a disabled family member, a trusts lawyer can help you establish a trust that meets your financial and personal goals.

When Should I Hire a Trusts Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a trusts lawyer in various situations, particularly when you're planning for the future distribution of your assets or protecting your wealth. Common reasons to hire a trusts lawyer include:

  • Estate planning: If you want to ensure that your assets are distributed according to your wishes, a lawyer can help you create a revocable or irrevocable trust to avoid probate and provide for your heirs.
  • Asset protection: If you want to protect your assets from creditors, lawsuits, or potential future liabilities, a lawyer can help you establish a trust to shield your wealth.
  • Special needs planning: If you have a disabled family member, a lawyer can create a special needs trust to provide for their care without affecting their eligibility for government benefits.
  • Tax planning: If you're looking to minimize estate taxes or manage tax liabilities, a lawyer can help you create tax-advantageous trusts, such as a credit shelter trust or charitable remainder trust.
  • Charitable giving: If you want to leave a legacy through charitable donations, a lawyer can help you set up a charitable trust to ensure your donations are managed according to your wishes.
  • Business succession planning: If you own a business and want to ensure a smooth transition of ownership, a lawyer can help you establish a trust to pass the business on to your heirs or chosen successors.

Hiring a trusts lawyer early in the estate planning process ensures that your assets are protected and your wishes are clearly documented, reducing the chances of disputes after your death.

What Does a Trusts Lawyer Do?

A trusts lawyer provides a variety of legal services to help individuals create, manage, and administer trusts. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Drafting trust documents: Preparing the legal documents needed to create the trust, ensuring it is tailored to your specific goals and complies with state and federal laws.
  • Choosing the right type of trust: Assisting clients in selecting the most appropriate type of trust for their needs, whether it's a revocable trust, irrevocable trust, living trust, or special needs trust.
  • Trust administration: Guiding trustees through their legal responsibilities, including managing assets, making distributions to beneficiaries, and filing tax returns.
  • Modifying or terminating trusts: Helping modify or terminate trusts if circumstances change, such as changes in tax laws, family situations, or personal preferences.
  • Protecting beneficiaries' interests: Structuring trusts to protect the interests of beneficiaries, especially if there are concerns about financial management, disability, or dependency issues.
  • Minimizing estate taxes: Assisting clients in structuring their trusts to minimize or avoid estate taxes, ensuring more of the estate passes to beneficiaries.
  • Handling disputes: Mediating or representing clients in court if disputes arise among beneficiaries or between trustees and beneficiaries.

How Are Trusts Lawyers Paid?

Trusts lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the trust and the type of legal work involved. Common payment methods include:

  • Flat fee: For drafting basic trusts, such as revocable living trusts or special needs trusts, many lawyers charge a flat fee. This can range from $1,000 to $5,000 or more, depending on the complexity of the trust.
  • Hourly rate: For more complex trust planning, ongoing trust administration, or resolving disputes, some lawyers charge by the hour. Hourly rates typically range from $150 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and location.
  • Retainer: For long-term trust administration or complex estate planning cases, some lawyers may require a retainer, an upfront payment that covers ongoing services.
  • Contingency fee (rare): In rare cases, particularly in disputes involving the administration of a trust, lawyers may work on a contingency fee basis, getting paid only if they successfully recover funds or resolve a legal dispute in your favor.

Always discuss the fee structure with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand the total cost of services.

How Much Does a Trusts Lawyer Cost?
