If I could give zero stars I would! I received a frivolous, baseless and retaliatory "NOTICE TO QUIT" from Colin. He insisted that I vacate the premise by August 31st. Why? He claimed that I have failed to agree to a proposed rent increase which simply was not true. And falsely claimed that I have only been paying the prior rental rate of $425 when in fact the prior rental for lot rent I have in fact been paying has been $420 from Jan 2023 through December 2023. Not the $425 as he falsely claimed. I feel he falsified legal documents and willfully fabricated all of this just to give the illusion that I have not agreed to a rent increase when in fact I have. Claiming I have ONLY been paying the prior rental of $425 when in fact the prior rental I have paid was $420 gives that illusion.
His client wanted to raise me to $441. But also offered to work out a rent solution to anyone having difficulties keeping up with the lot rent. I previously reached out to his client 3 times to work out a solution and his client ignored me. So I made a very good faith effort to pay an increase and sent in an extra $5.00 per month over the previous year which was the per-pandemic rental increase. His client made zero effort to work out the solution he originally offered to make. And 7 months, he decides he is unhappy with the increase I am paying him? There simply is no justification to send a "NOTICE TO QUIT" over this. I feel this is simply a “Smoke and mirrors” tactic by him to try and have me evicted under false pretenses. Claiming I am ONLY paying the prior rental rate when in fact I have been paying more. And he knows this.
The “NOTICE TO QUIT” in Connecticut should not include the names of minor children. This is because the law prohibits landlords from serving a notice to quit on a minor under 18. His client was very well aware that I have a minor child. An innocent, sweet, loving, caring 10 year old autistic child.
And to make matters worse, he decided to hit below the belt and include his full name in this eviction. I believe this was done solely and purposely for no reason other than to harass, intimidate and attack my child. And to add insult to injury, he even highlighted my minor child’s name! As an Attorney, he should know children are off limits! And to leave the children out of this and leave them alone!
This “NOTICE TO QUITE” I truly believe was based solely on retaliation and revenge for taking his client to court prior in which his client lost the case. Colin was not the attorney on the case at that time but he works close with his client.
This was inexcusable. My child is only 10! This will result in legal action against him, possibly for many years to come. For starters, I will file a grievance complaint. I DO NOT recommend this attorney to anyone.

Wow!! A five star review is less than what Atty. Daniel Bishop deserves! His compassion, honesty, and knowledge exceeded far and beyond most attorneys. I wasn't aware of the concepts pertaining to workman's compensation cases. During and after my settlement, it is always important to speak with Attorney Daniel Bishop first. He saw through the tactics used by my previous employer and the insurance company. The purpose of capturing a clear picture is to ensure an outcome in "their" best interest. My workman's compensation pay increased. I wasn't suppose to know my actual weekly pay. If it were not for Atty. Bishop stepping in, I would not have known. After reviewing the weekly amount, Atty. Bishop revealed their attempt to keep it lower than what was owed. It's awful when organizations that you invest your time with poses dishonest practices. Attorney Daddario was very diligent in processing my daughter's Social Security Disability claim. He always made sure all the required paperwork was sent to Social Security in a timely fashion. It was very frustrating to find an attorney that could handle our case. Atty Daddario was just a random find on Google. We initially hired him to take on our case because he won a majority of his cases. I can't recommend Attorney Richard Grabow highly enough! I finally have federal disability support (SSDI) because I contracted with him. I would not have been able to successfully navigate the disability appeals process without him and his assistant Melissa. It was very difficult to find someone to take my case, as I am considered very young for disability and because (as Attorney Grabow explained) the system is not really set up to assess people with my many complex, chronic conditions. After a lot of hard work and an extremely long time of searching, I found two others willing to take my case, but after in-person consults, it was no contest that I wanted to go with Grabow. He was obviously very busy so he had to be very direct and to the point about everything, but I appreciate the efficiency and candor. He looked at my work history and medical summary, and he laid out the difficulties of my application but the reasons why I could (and obviously should) qualify. He also explained more of an inside perspective on how the system works, expected wait times, etc. The other folks I considered hiring did not seem nearly as competent nor were they as thorough or candid about things.
Basically, how the office functions is that most communications are with his assistant Melissa and Richard directly communicates when needed. Melissa is friendly, helpful, and has more time for answering questions. Richard is understandably more rushed and some might perceive him as a bit gruff, but again, the efficiency, directness and high level of competence is what I prefer. (And, what works!)
For anyone starting the disability process, some other helpful info:
-Grabow operates on a common disability attorney method where you can contract with him and he does not receive payment unless you win your case. If you win, he is automatically paid a % from your backpay, with a cap. This was a godsend for me as, of course, I was destitute by the time I found him.
-Contracting with a lawyer is extremely important and helpful, but you still have to stay on top of everything that you can yourself. For example, I always take notes, and Grabow mentioned a certain type of paperwork early in the process. I brought it up with him further into the process ("I have X in my notes. Should we be doing that soon?") and his take seemed to be, "We don't need that right now. Let's not do work until we need to do work and have everything as current as possible." Luckily, I pressed him on it to give it to me the forms to get to my doctor...and then, surprisingly, my case processing got pushed up EARLIER than expected, we did need that paperwork, and we had it in the nick of time. All this is to say, I don't think I would have been approved without his work on my case, but you still need to be engaged in the process.
In sum, I am extremely glad and grateful that I used Richard and Melissa!! I was disabled for 10 years without support, and I am finally in the next chapter of my life because of their help. I can't thank them enough!!!

After 33 years on earth I’ve found myself in trouble more times than I’d like to admit. John hasn’t just been there to get me out of it, he’s gotten me the best case scenario results every time. It was a pleasure working with the entire team at Forrest McPadden as they worked towards a successful resolution for a hit and run accident that I experienced, which caused severe body damage to my vehicle. "I am an experienced paramedic, with awards and decorations, with over 20 years of experience. Recently I was terminated from my empowerment through no fault of my own. I had applied for unemployment compensation and was denied. I reached out to Attorney Lasko . After a through and extensive consultation with Attorney Lasko, where he was able to analyze my termination and give me a firm understanding of what my legal rights were as to wrongful termination and unemployment benefits, I retained Attorney Lasko. Attorney Lasko was one of three attorneys referred to me by Outten & Golden. I hired Attorney Lasko, because he was prompt and proactive. He helped devise an exit strategy from my former employer, then navigate through the separation, which was done so amicably. Moreover, I was able to successfully secure the maximum severance package allowable from my former employer on the terms that I desired.
