Tom is a lawyer of action rather than just words. I hired him for a non-subscriber work injury. Prior to Tom, I initially hired an attorney, who never kept me informed, never would return my phones and was basically a lawyer of inaction and did not seemed to care about my case.
However, we Tom I just the opposite. Tom has excellent knowledge in that he has worked in the real business world prior to becoming a lawyer. He can empathize with the client and his case. He immediately became active on my case and has worked out a plan of action and has kept me informed.
I would recommend him and give him a five star rating. In my opinion he is a top gun as an attorney and rises above the lack of notification of case status and promptly returns phone calls.

Kay took my case after The Houston Firm Ogletree Abbott, Clay and Reed resigned from my case. She reviewed my case, and did a wonderful job of explaining my claim. She was straight forward and direct. She is a good listener, and has great knowledge of the law. Her staff does excellent work also. From my limited experience, it is my belief that an attorney must first, be competent, and second be an excellent communicator. Additionally, if the person is pleasant, all the better for someone who finds themself in a difficult and unpleasant situation. Ms. Tennent meets all three of these criteria with flying colors. First, she handled my case, which had a number of complications, with great ability and the outcome was everything I could have hoped for. Secondly, she communicated openly and directly with me in a timely manner. In a stressful situation, this is of enormous value. I had a fall at my employer during the winter storm, February 11, 2021. They had never encountered a work-related injury. I was the first unfortunately.
I received some push back and some run around from the insurance company to assist me in getting help for my injury. I shared my dismay with one of my best friends. He reached out to his tax preparer and a few days later, she provided him with Attorney Michael Graham's contact information.
I phoned Attorney Graham and shared with him my issue. He emailed me the forms to complete and asked me to contact the workers compensation office to ensure my issue was on record. Thereafter, he asked I phone him back. I guess I took a while to phone him back, he phoned me, to inquire how my documentation completion process was going and if I reached the workers compensation office. I was blown away with him calling me back to ensure I was doing my part to get the necessary information for him to view and proceed in representing me.

This firm sure knows their laws/rules, and I highly recommend them for help (in my case on employment law). While they are in TX they do know laws outside the state, which was perfect for me as I don't reside in the same state that my corporation does.
Katie was patient and explained complex documents in layman's terms so I could understand what I was reading in my corporate documents. She also had insightful recommendations for things I should or should not do, which I am very thankful for.

I recently had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with Bergquist Law Firm. After hiring them to handle a legal matter, I found their communication to be lacking and their representation to be subpar. The lawyers seemed disorganized and unprepared, and I felt like my case was not given the attention it deserved.
Furthermore, I encountered billing issues and unexpected fees that were not transparently communicated to me. This lack of transparency and professionalism left me feeling frustrated and let down.

This lawyer came highly recommended! He NEVER went and saw his client! He didn’t communicate as he assured he would! Once he got his money it was radio silence! He never informed the family of canceled court dates knowing that they were driving in from Houston! He’s arrogant and very smug! He talked crazy and was very argumentative with my mother who’s a senior citizen! He lied and was very disrespectful and when I asked him to apologize, he said he would but didn’t! This is a stressful time for families and for a PAID attorney to behave this way is unacceptable! This is why SOME PEOPLE don’t like working with attorneys of our own skin! I wouldn’t recommend Andrew to help with a parking ticket!

Only reason why they are getting 2 stars is because they won my case.Mainly because the attorney I had there was amazing. But they drove her off near the end of my case and that's when everything went down hill. My case ended in February and I have been waiting for my reimbursement from my trust with them. They have continually said they have sent a check in the mail. But it never comes, I have called multiple times and asked that they wire it back to my account for a month straight and they still refuse to do so. It has been over 6 months and they blatantly refuse to return my money. I would not advise anyone using this firm.

One of the pet peeves of dealing with law firms so far, is the gate keepers, when they say no "not willing to take your case", especially after saying that and if I request to speak with a manager of the firm and they still say 'No' as if they own the firm. In any case the lady conversed with just did not bother forward my inquiry to an attorney, because it was an EEOC case. Regardless what type of the case it is, law firm should still give an opportunity for an employee to tell their story, especially if they will provide circumstantial evidence and when it comes to EEOC process. Especially if the employee had already done majority of the paperwork and all the firm needs to do is provide assistance for the rest of the way. If they do not have experienced attorneys for EEOC cases, well that's a whole different story. Regardless, they lost another business.

When we were searching for a lawyer, we felt that God led us to this firm. My husband had a business depute with a corrupt partner who was a bully, a liar, and a thief. We initially filed a lawsuit in 2020, at the height of COVID. We had a very good lawyer to help us through the case for the last 3 years but he unfortunately passed away this earlier this year. We needed to have someone else represent us, and we chose another lawyer firm (not this one). That lawyer from the other firm dropped our case because we didn’t agreed to have second mediation, even though we thoroughly explained to him we knew it was a waste our money, since the first mediation was very unsuccessful.
