Over 1 year ago I severely injured my back at work which resulted in 2 emergency surgeries, shortly after I was admitted to the hospital I was informed that my employer had flat out denied my claim for workers compensation after telling me to my fae that they would take care of me.
I was staring down the barrel of over $400,000 in medical bills as I did not have insurance at the time of the accident, as well as no job to return to, I was scared as to what was going to happen to me next.
I found Greg online and his team worked tirelessly for over 1 year fighting on my behalf to make sure I was taken care of. My employer fought, and used dirty tactics at every turn to deny me benefits, including having me followed and spied on by a private investigator (I had already had surgery at this point and was recovering) but that did not deter Greg and his team one bit. In fact every time they turned it up, Greg went in even more determined.
I could not be more appreciative for all of the hard work and pure dedication that was put into my case by Greg and his team, at no point did I ever think Greg was in this for the money, or anything other than he felt I was wronged and wanted to help me. He genuinely cared about my well being and the incredible financial stress this put me under, he was compassionate, diligent, and very patient throughout the entire process answering countless questions and never once making me feel like a burden.
1 year and two months later I have finally resolved my case and have received the financial help I was fighting for, including having my medical bills paid. This would have ruined me financially and sent my life into a much different direction. Because of Greg and his team I am no longer losing sleep and wondering what I'm going to do to survive.
I just cannot say enough good about this man and his team, if you are going through this and feel like there is nobody to help you, Greg and his team are the right answer. They actually care, and will 100% do what it takes to help you.

When I first contacted you, I didn’t know what to expect. Surly my expectations were low due to my experience elsewhere. The other lager firm left me in a pile of papers to be forgotten and dismissed. I was obviously not a priority as they wouldn’t even answer my questions or help me over the phone. They just said they would take my case and then ignored me giving me the runaround. I couldn’t even speak to any lawyers. I was always held up with their receptionist only to leave a message. No one would ever call me back. I was getting absolutely nowhere. I wasn’t getting any medical attention for my injuries and felt dismissed and hopeless in my situation. What can I say about work comp? It is a very difficult and frustrating journey to navigate . With Gregg's wonderful help, I was able to stand up to the large insurance company.

I'll try to make this very long story short: my husband got hurt on the job, not once, but twice! After the first injury, we went through his company's clinic for treatment and physical therapy, then came the paperwork riddled with all sorts of legal terminology that was beyond our understanding. In the end, the company's medical team found him to be clear to return to his full work duties. However, this was not the case. He was still in constant pain but we thought we had no other option so he returned to work. I won't reveal the name of the company but it's a very well known food manufacturer and my husband's position was very physically demanding. Fast forward six months later, he's injured again. This time we weren't going to just go with whatever his company's team said. A very good friend of mine who is a Family Law attorney referred us to the Almighty Jessica Rafipour. I contacted her by phone, told her the basics of the situation and she scheduled us to come to her office to meet in person. Anyone who has had to go through a LEGITIMATE worker's comp case knows the stress and frustration you feel with all the paperwork, doctor appointments, therapy appointments, phone calls, etc. I stress LEGITIMATE because there are fraudulent claims out there and those claims are the reason why people who are LEGITIMATELY injured have to go through so much to be compensated. Worker's comp is such a long, drawn out process that just drains you daily. Your patience is truly tested when going through it. Mr. Alves responded to Evvo questions I have inquired about WC case. Thru Evvo posting, I was able to email him and ask if I can send him WC case documents and concurrent DFEH related labor law cases.
I posted my email address so that he can contact me back via email. I sent inordinate amout of case documents via email and also thru Google drop down share drive he was kind to sent to me.
He spent reviewing all those documents over both days of Saturday and Sunday weekend and got back to me via email on Sunday afternoon that he will be taking my labor law case. I asked him to place on hold reviewin WC case for now.
He was very understanding of my urgency needs and was willing to take his valuable weekend rest time in reviewing my cases over the weekend. He was also kind to let me know ahead he will be calling me for contract paperwork Monday next day.

I contacted me.canter about my case and he instantly replied and made me confident he knew and dealt with my works insurance company plenty of times. And I was not deceived. Due to him having many cases, I did have to keep calling and check on status parts of the case, but me.canter and hisbteam were all very sympathetic, and informative as well as helpful. Because of his professional experience I was able to only suffer four months (instead of years and was all works insurance fault) and he was able to speed up the process of my settlement and the check because the insurance company taking forever caused my family and I to become homeless.
I received my check a week in a half maybe close to two weeks after it was signed.
I highly recommend Mr. Canter and his staff. They try very hard to be as responsive and quick as possible and you can tell they actually care about you, not in it for his (small) percentage of the money.

This attorney handled my case perfectly. She filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy for me which included all my debts. She also explained the process to me and attended the court hearing with me at her side. I received my bankruptcy discharge very quickly. Pauline Chernick also charges most reasonable attorney fees and accepted a payment plan.
