I recently contacted this law firm to present my case and to find out whether or not Attorney McCain handled cases as mine - when I reached their office, i spoke with a gentleman by the name of Shawn Carter. When i tell you that i was highly impressed and beyond satisfied with my phone interaction - there are not enough words in our English vocabulary to describe truly how impressed I was with my phone interaction with Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter exemplified superb listening skills, compassion, empathy and his follow-up and follow through was simply impeccable. You all wrong I had Jeffrey Y and they did their job I had internal injuries and a closed head injury and a spine injury and broken bones that I had to have surgery to fix and at least they are not tommy Dunaway and Teresa Dunaway and Howard that took $50,000 dollars from me for attorneys fees for my wreak in Merritt truckings dump trunk in 2001 on Oct 8 when they closed my case in November 2004 to say they least and with all that my family was destroyed on old Laurens road in greenwood SC where Teresa dunaway Howard residence is located in greenwood county make sure of who your attorneys are every one is not your friend when it comes to lawyers
I also used this office to and I am also being harassed constantly for being disabled even now all through the Internet and greenwood county and Abbeville county and Anderson county all in sc and tommy Dunaway and Teresa Dunaway Howard both have caused problems between my family and me and my son Danny L Kilgore jr

Questionable reviews. This law firm lacks integrity, professionalism, honesty and human kindness. The entire staff is untrustworthy from the top to the bottom. They are careless, engage in deception, to gain clients. They require the clients to do their own work, while they get paid top dollar for wok never performed. It's the oldest trick in the book. Be careful dealing with this law firm. Check behind every word they tell you. I do not recommend this cruel and bias law firm.

Kathy McArthur and her team were recommended to my wife and I by a physician friend of ours. She and her team were terrific. Kathy has an extraordinary background in medical malpractice and her husband is a surgeon which make for a well rounded and solid team.
She personally handled virtually all of our issues providing extensive detail and insight into the pluses and minuses of my wife’s unfortunate repeat surgeries and resultant infections.
She liaised with our new surgeon who saved her leg, and gave us sound, well thought out advice. My wife and I would highly recommend Kathy for those patients in need of top notch, highly regarded attorney with over 40 years of experience and success in the malpractice area.

My first experience with Nelson & Smith was about 12 years ago when my brother was in a horrific car accident, where he fractured a vertebrae. We were lucky to have stumbled upon this firm at the time, but the attentiveness, care and professionalism, of Mr. Smith and his staff, displayed towards my brother and his case are the reasons why we have and will remain lifetime clients. Since then, Nelson & Smith has handled a minor car accident claim of mine, and the workers compensation claim of a friend. The receptionist isn't friendly or professional and provided incorrect information to our client's mother. She told her that they were forbidden from accepting documents from anyone but attorneys. What about pro se defendants? It's horrible to tell people anything just to get them out of our face. Additional incorrect information was provided again when my assistant called. Finally, I called. The same incorrect information was being provided. When called on it, the receptionist put me on hold repeatedly and then finally referred me to the Sherrff's office (another wrong answer) when I asked for a supervising Chief ADA or Assistant Chief for those who handle the bond calendars. These calls were over 3 days. So, we are unsure if the same person was answering our questions or if there're are several untrained people answering the phone providing the public with misinformation.

Lied, misled, withheld information, spoke to me as if I were a bad taste in his mouth, I hired him because he had a reputation of being very "forceful" which to me, was what I thought I wanted dealing with insurance companies, but he also acted that way toward me, He will not follow directions, he does what he wants, and then gets frustrated when you ask him to do what you ask... I finally listened to enough, then as usual he will ask you if you just want your file, so I said, yes! Then he placed a lien on any future settlement, and when I asked why, he said because he wrote a letter, so I replied "Well are you gonna finish this case?" He replied "no." Apparently, he only has time to rob the injured, If you need a lawyer, pick anyone else! He'll speak badly of any lawyer you may mention, I can't say enough, to warn you how bad he will leave your situation if you place your security in his hands! You will have to do all your own research, and he will never return your calls.

Ms. Benedict was the most unprofessional lawyer that I have ever had any dealings with. I had to initiate contact. She constantly ignored contact. She has very poor relationships with most judges that she has come in contact with. She cancelled hearing after hearing causing my case to drag on years longer than it should have only to quit and place such a high lien against my claim it was hard to find another attorney. I would not recommend her to represent a gnat.
