After getting injured serving on a DOD contract overseas, I heard about the DBA. I was told it was a good law but that it had a lot of land mines that could throw you off if you were not careful. I did not have the legal expertise nor the right frame of mind to deal with that while trying to recover from my injuries. Thankfully after searching on line, I was able to find my way to this law firm of Gillis, Mermell & Pacheco and I was connected specifically to Wayne Russell, Esq. Working with Wayne was great. He was very clear about what to expect. He was very responsive to my calls. He clearly communicated where we were at with the insurance company and what my rights were within the law. I am convinced that had I not hired this law firm, I would have misstepped somewhere along the way and would not have received the favorable outcome that I did get. Though I would never want anyone to be injured overseas, if you are, I would strongly recommend these guys to help you out with your Defense Base Act case.

I was working in Intel on a DOD contract overseas when I got injured. I knew of the DBA, but I heard it was full of potholes and not easy to manage. I was in no condition to handle it on my own. I researched on the internet and found this law firm of Gillis Mermell & Pacheco. I am thankful that I did. My lawyer guided me through the mind fields and educated me and kept me informed all the way. I got a great result and got it done much quicker than I thought. Approximately 2 years ago I was involved in an automobile accident which left me with buldging discs. I was experiencing severe physical pain , especially in my lower back. Ms. Olesky took on the task of my difficult Defense Base Act case after my doctor had released me prematurely from back surgery. She fought for me and kept fighting for me.
