Mr. Cashman provided me with extensive free legal consultation in dealing with a particular "copyright troll". All I can say is please do your due diligence when dealing with these people, particularly hiring "settlement factory" attorneys. Also, please read all of Mr. Cashman's articles on his website concerning copyright trolls. It's a treasure trove of great information. Even though I didn't end up retaining Mr. Cashman for his services due to me being in another State, I would definitely recommend him if you're in Texas.

I'm an attorney myself, so when it came to choosing an attorney to assist me with applying for disability retirement through the Federal Employees' Retirement System, I tried to do my homework and thoroughly research attorneys and law firms. I spoke with several, and ultimately felt the most comfortable and confident with Mr. Wersing and his team, including Bethany Sissons, a paralegal. They did not disappoint!
From thoroughly explaining the process to me, to giving me clear directives on what I needed to do to help prepare my claim paperwork (it's the government - there's tons of paperwork to gather and complete), to answering my questions, to keeping me informed about where things stood in the process, Mr. Wersing and his team did a great job, and my application was approved on the first try. I credit that in large part to the aforementioned paralegal, Bethany Sissons, staying on top of the development of my paperwork and making sure I had a complete and correct application.
For anyone considering hiring someone to help you with the FERS disability process, the reality is that nobody can do the whole thing for you. There is a lot of back and forth with your agency and a lot of documentation that you, as the employee, have to help gather (even if you're just filling out medical record release forms to send records to the firm, rather than getting your own medical records and forwarding them yourself (which is faster)). But Mr. Wersing and Ms. Sissons broke down the tasks I needed to complete to help them help me into a clear, actionable plan, which, again made the process smooth and, most importantly, successful.
Finally, I found the cost structure extremely fair and reasonable, given the value received.

I had run through at least 20 different firms when trying to find representation for my federal case involving the FDA...and it was so disheartening I had to do this after 21 years of service to that agency at the time...to say it was exhausting and discouraging was an understatement. I found Aaron and his firm after three weeks of searching the internet and calling different firms, who charged ridiculous and outrageous amounts of money for representation...I had reached my wit's end before I found Aaron and his firm. I spoke to him and his staff and started the ball rolling for my case. They worked with me regarding fees and payment, went over the relevant issues, and looked at all scenarios to negotiate a settlement and help me to move from my area to get out from under that mgnt line...the mngt was pacified when they saw I hired this firm and for while they left me alone... I was shocked and surprised that they had attorneys who represented federal employees in their cases...Aaron kept it real and Andrew Young who was representing me at the time, also did. Over the past 4 yrs I have been a client with this firm. When I call, I’m always treated with respect and pure honesty. My experience has always been positive, especially with Michelle Nevil, however, today, which is one of the worst days of my life, I buried my Dad, and I’m already emotional, I called to get an update on my case, I encountered a person named Cara, whom I’ve never spoken to before, and she had the most negative, scripted, unprofessional disposition I have ever had to deal with. In my opinion she could care less about the clients understanding of how the case is going. We as clients have waited an awful long time to get results of our case, and to have this person have authority over phone calls with clients(potential clients)with this negative attitude is not a good look for the firm. I was very disappointed with my experience today, but, I don’t hold the entire firm responsible for one person. I just wanted to share what happened to me today because I was totally shocked that someone like this works there.

I am a former client of Ngwolo and Associates and I have mixed feelings regarding this firm.
Granted, while Mr. Ngwolo was able to have my case dismissed (I was the victim of a corrupt, stupid, and incompetent police office who cited me with a bogus charge almost a year ago. I was physically attacked by a violent lunatic that lived at the same residence as me. I defended myself and called the police. Again, the stupid, biased, and ignorant officer that arrived on the scene cited me instead of the perpetrator), he failed in every other aspect of our attorney client relationship...
I'll just give you the pros and cons...
Pros
1. He was able to get the bogus charge dismissed. Up until this happened (please see above) I had no criminal background other than a parking ticket when I was a teenager. Anyway, it literally took less than 15 minutes to have the entire case dismissed.
I appreciated his due diligence in that regard. He did what I hired him to do...
However, everything else was subpar and below standard...
Cons
1. My attorney showed up nearly TWO HOURS late to my court hearing. I am not kidding.
I got the impression, from day one, that he never took my case seriously given that it was a Class C misdemeanor. I get that it was not a big deal in comparison to the criminal cases he usually deals with; but this was major to me. I have been a law abiding citizen and I have a career where my good name and reputation are paramount. Having even a misdemeanor could impact me negatively...
Yet he showed up almost two hours late to my first court appearance.
And of course my case happened to be the first case on the docket. I texted his office a million times and could not get in contact with him...just his poor paralegal trying his best to comfort a client who is distraught because of his counsel's unprofessionalism.
He finally showed up and didn't so much as even apologize.
2. It was impossible to get in contact with him, absolutely impossible! The only time I ever spoke to Mr. Ngwolo was when I hired him and at the hearing. Otherwise, getting a response from him for much needed questions was like pulling teeth from a dragon skull. I know that attorneys have other clients and are busy. But if I am paying you a retainer fee you owe me atleast a once a month conversation.
3. I finally severed my relationship with him five months ago for consistently being MIA. I hired him with the intent of dismissing the case AND expunging it from my record. Once the case was dismissed I received radio silence.
Needless to say I fired him. And from that point I had to hound him for months to send me a refund for the remainder that he owed me.
I finally got it a week ago.
Moreover, he tried to use the excuse that expunction is a very long process.
Apparently not since I had the case expunged recently, by myself.
Anyway, he is a good lawyer and knows his stuff, I will say that. However, given my experience, I would not recommend.
