I was terminated from a large fortune 100 financial services company at age 59. I was in sales and had been employed by this company and predecessors for 26 years. I had built a large and profitable book of business over my tenure however my termination was due to my inability to meet new business sales goals which had been dramatically increased shortly before the termination. Despite fierce opposition from their deep legal department, we were able to negotiate a very favorable settlement for my case. I felt very comfortable and confident in Larry Schaefer"s knowledge, interest and hard work on my behalf. I worked with Mic (Michael) after I opened a business that competed with my former employer. I had been sewed for allegedly violating a covenant not to compete with my prior company. We knew that for various reasons the non-compete was invalid, and Mic fought hard to protect my ability to earn an income in the only business I had known for the past decade. Mic took me on as a client even though I was making almost no money, and at the time it was unclear how I could possibly afford an attorney. In the end he was successful in protecting the business I had built, and we were able to obtain a favorable outcome for myself personally.

My case was a wrongful termination. I had a medical condition which required surgery. Two weeks after surgery my employer terminated me, even though the previous month my annual review was all positive and indicated everything was fine. To add additional injury I was over 60 years old yet not old enough to retire. Like most everyone in the year long process for justice, I was under enormous emotional stress. Kaarin did not get wraped up in my emotions but stayed focused on the case. It was clear Kaarin and Halunen knew the aplicable laws, it was assuring to watch Kaarin in depositions asking the right questions to get to the underlying issues in order to prove my case. Kaarin showed her expreience and skills in the mediation process with the defendant and mediator. The case has come to a favrable end for me and much of the stress I've had has been relieved by obtaining justice. I appreciate Kaarin's skills and expreience and her unrelenting pursuit of of justice.

Lawyers do many things, different kinds of law and expertise, different types of specialties even within those different arenas. Prosecution to defense I think many imagine themselves to be "champions of the people". Then there are those like Emma Denny and her team of lawyers and paralegals that truly embody the people's champion ethos. Employment lawyers do not get paid unless the case is settled outside of court or won at trial. Thus, when an employment lawyer signs onto your case they have just as much skin in the game as us. More even. All the upfront costs of time spent writing and filing briefs with the court, any experts needed to provide expert opinions or arbitration for settlements and every hour of their time, all on their dime. Meaning when an employment attorney takes your case, they not only have to have confidence in their ability to win or settle it they also are putting their confidence, belief and faith in YOU. It's a team. After I was wrongfully terminated, I called nearly 15 employment attorneys. I was contacted by 8 paralegals for an interview about the circumstances of my case. I was then contacted by only 3 attorneys interested in my case. My case had a wild card element to it in that it had to do with new substance legalization laws interacting with employment law that did not have a lot of precedent. Considering how many I contacted and how many showed interest this told me my case was not a slam dunk and thus was seen as a risk for many of the attorneys I contacted. 2 of them told me I should contact the state, or another lawyer with different skills and that the grey associated with the new laws was a dealbreaker for them. Then Emma Denny called. The biggest difference in the first 10 mins of speaking with her was her preparedness and absolute confidence. She had the legal stances, strategies and statutes already laid out without ever talking to me. Despite differing social opinions on newly legalized substances judgment never came into our conversation or into her demeanor and treatment of me and my case. She was fiercely professional, her legal writing was incredible, her research and her paralegal were peerless and her lawyer associates beyond reproach. I was never in the dark about the process. Never once. One of the first documents I received from Emma was an outline of expectations including the potential timeline, the steps that ultimately lead to a settlement or a trial and a pledge to each other that within a day of contacting each other for any reason we would return that communication within 48hrs. Lastly, what could have taken a year or two was wrapped up nicely in 7 months! I could go on, but I'll sum it up like this. In all my life no one has advocated for me so thoroughly and with so much professionalism and tenacity. As I stated there is no guarantee of compensation or reward, but I NEVER felt like that was a factor. She won for me and without her truly knowing she saved me from a setback that could have negatively impacted my life for years to come. She took a risk on me and was confident in her ability and mine that we could win and in a way that lawyers do she cared for me. She'll never know how much that confidence in me was part of what helped me get through that time in my life. That IS what makes Emma Denny and her team true and genuine Champions of the People. We had a great experience working with Satveer Chaudhary on my spouse's visa change of status process from J2 to F1. He was incredibly patient, taking the time to answer all our questions thoroughly and helping us fill out the forms in the best way possible. We could always contact him directly and receive almost immediate responses from him (not an assistant), even after hours and on some weekends! I’m not sure if other lawyers would provide that level of service, especially with no extra charges. We also appreciated how thorough he was, staying in touch not only when the approval letter arrived but also during our trip to India for stamping. We truly appreciate his time and support throughout the process and highly recommend his services.

Wagner, Falconer and Judd, Ltd. helped me very much in my recent case of an unjust terminatinatiin with a company I had been with for almost 2 years. During that same period of time, I saw 7 different score managers come and go with only one if them having effective management skills because he had 21 years experience with the company and was a very effective manager. The large corporation I was a part of had been experiencing tgevresult if the high management turnover and had recently let 400 people go on division and corporate positions. When I was let go, I contacted Wagner, Falconer, and Judd through my Prepaid Legal Program and was put in touch with Lisa, an attorney who provided excellent guidance for what I needed to do to to deal with a trumped up charge of violating company driving rules that actually were false and attempted to decline my unemployment benefit for my post work done on the case where I had received the great work from Lisa ( and also Job Service in Sheboygan. Last week 9/5/24 our 16 years dream came true. Finally, we received our green cards. David Wilson worked on our case for the last 5 years. Alicia is excellent. Her communication is concise, while offering empathy and patience hearing out any questions or concerns as they may arise. She is very good at what she does on a technical level, and perhaps more importantly she is incredible flexible if and when something unexpected comes up. She is exactly who you want on your side. I met with dozens of firms when I was considering taking legal action, and from the very beginning she stood out from everyone else. Looking back, I'm absolutely sure I made the right choice.

While representing me an unfair Labor practice against the Union and companies of the Union she failed to do simple legal research of unfair labor practices. After I discovered a multitude of unfair Labor practice laws that prohibited the companies and the Union of the treatment that they have done to me she refused to amend my complaint. As I constantly try to speak with her about the issue she became closed off and very combative. Unfair Labor practice laws the only took me less than 5 minutes to discover was laws that she never discovered on her own which leads me to believe she did absolutely zero research on my case. Not only that but it's unfair Labor practice laws that in my case cannot be debated by the defendant side. Unfair Labor practice laws like the violation of the Beck Act, Weingardener Act, Total Security under NLRB, and many more. Which we would have been able to prove without a reasonable doubt I did not receive as a union member and my case would be one. It also would prove the violation of the duty of representation of the Union itself in the union participation in the discriminatory practices that constitutes as unfair Labor practice it automatically entitles me to full back pay, front pay and punitive damages. Instead this lawyer refused to amend the original complaint which spoke nothing on the violation of unfair labor practices which was the exact reason that we were in court. Then this lawyer turned around and motion to be removed from my case because she was absolutely combative with a man in the complaint and adding the right case laws that was undeniable in the matter. And then she demands thousands of dollars in retribution after she failed to represent me correctly and properly research angles to win my case. This lawyer is a scam artist that makes poor financially disabled people sign a bogus contract agreement to secure her representation that's access for a high interest on the case when won. Knowing that the people calling is in desperate need she acts as a wolf and sheep clothing only communicating to rob the disenfranchised. Do you like knowledge of cases that she agree to join, well at least in my case. Then she does not put in the effort to properly defend the vulnerable worker that suffered the Injustice from their employer. I would not recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy. The laws that I've mentioned within this review I had to find on my own and once I tried to present the laws and help her out because she told me if I want my complaint amended I will have to find a different attorney. If you are someone with a strong case and financially disabled I would warn you not to take this road because in my experience it would not lead to the success in the case that would be deemed appropriate. It was absolutely a terrible experience and journey. So this attorney gets zero Stars and anyone that is bold enough to challenge my review here and seek to find out for themselves all I can do is pray for you and your family. My sincere's testimony from only my personal standpoint from my personal experience with this attorney. She will expect for you to pay her thousands of dollars even when she asked the courts to remove her from your case because she refuses to make corrections which is necessary for the greater good to your claims. Again I say this only for my personal experience, you have been warned.

Deeply disappointed. My response is strictly based on my experience which does not predict how your case will be handled but could be a deciding factor for you. Unresponsive. I have called and left messages and emails and voicemails weekly for a months, it’s been almost a year haven’t heard back from my representation since October of 2021 but , I requested representation back in March 2021. My last message/conversation I received , I was advised paperwork would be filled in order to proceed further. The administrative assistant are always pleasant but, no response is ever return. My calls go straight to voicemail now no one picks, up. At, this point I’m not sure about my case and there’s no one who seems to have interest in seeing that, I can have this proceed further as I was promised in March 2021. Having promises of documents being filled would help my family but tremendously but after a year no response I’m not sure if my claim matters or even if anything ever happened to begin with. I’ll send an update so that you can make an informed decision especially if you have a family who depends on your support.

Joe Leblanc is a great hard working lawyer , He took my case after I was denied about 10 times from other lawyers because they did not believe in me or my case and he did . I felt that after he was paid that he was no longer interested in my case. I as client should not have to call my attorney several times to ask status on my case. Do to his negligence my case could not go forward do to loss time to respond. I lost my case. Which was $7,000 gone fast. I suggest find attorney that is reliable in followIng up with their client.
