This firm was absolutely incredible. Being severely injured in an accident I didn’t cause, caused its own struggles including financials and Chad and Chris were absolutely amazing to work with. They always kept me informed (I can’t even count the amount of emails between Chris and I), fought for me, and continuously reinforced how glad I was to work with them. When you choose them, know you’re choosing real people who genuinely care about you/your situation and want to provide you with as much financial justice as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks to the whole team!

Worked with Chris and Olivia for a Personal injury case. Olivia helped talk me through the plan and what next steps to take and Chris kept me updated throughout the whole process of the claim. They took all the stress off of my shoulders and let me focus on recovering. We ended up settling and I couldn’t be more relieved that I went with them! Definitely recommending them to anyone I can!

Brandon Dark made me 100% confident in my decision to retain him from the moment I inquired about his services when I called his office.he called me back right away and even gave me his direct cell. He was thorough and asked all the right questions you can just tell he is so very experienced. I used him for an Injunction and he made it so easy on me even though it was a difficult situation for me. I could not be more thankful for him and all the time he took on my case !

Only negative comment i have is that they made me wear a mask in their office. Other than that i had use Cole Scott Kisane (teresa savona , kara grahm) on my DOH case previously. They charged me close to 20k in fees and then withdrew from my case with no explanation. So i walked into the health law firm for a consultation and the gentleman gave me a straight answer that my case was a lost cause. I greatly thank him for that because i was still able to salvage my business despite my license being lost, because he was honest and upfront with me. So i could start rebuilding and rebranding instead of hanging on the DOH coattails. Now any medical professional that has an issue I will always refer them here. And he charged me nothing for the consultation. Thanks health law firm for being honest and not stringing me along for a ride.

I contacted Joana regarding a health care law issue. Even though she said she was busy, she spent a significant amount of time speaking with me. In fact, she even called me back after she had researched the issue in greater depth and spent additional time with me on the phone. I highly recommend her. She seems to be very familiar with the Board of Health disciplinary process.

I asked for Attorney Brooderson to look into my case and give me guidance on steps moving forward and how I shall proceed. His strategy worked great, and afforded me the outcome that I was looking for. The investigation from the board of health was ceased with no hearing needed. His legal memos to the board were articulate, well-thought out and got the job done. I highly recommend Attorney Brooderson.

Mr.McCulloch is a phenomenal attorney to have. He is known for his extensive knowledge as a criminal trial and appeals lawyer. My family is very fortunate to have found Mark after interviewing many lawyers to find the best of the BEST! It was the greatest and most wise decision we could have ever made. He is highly motivated and extremely talented in his line of work. He has been working extensively on my father’s case and we could not be more pleased with an attorney. He has a broad knowledge of many areas of law and will fight for you like you’re his own family. There is no doubt without Mr.McCulloch’s guidance and representation we would not be where we are at today. Our case is still ongoing but we know that the best possible outcome will be achieved with having Mr.McCulloch as our defense attorney. My family and I cannot thank Mark enough for all his hard work and dedication to our case. He will fight for you deligently in and out of the courtroom. Many lawyers promise results, Mr.McCulloch delivers them and will go above and beyond for you.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Altamonte Springs, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
