Tyler Shortsleeves is the best lawyer I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much Tyler!

My case was open with HOFLA for over 3 years in that time my case went through 4 different lawyers. This year I had the pleasure of getting Terri S. Rawasia as my lawyer. And she was fantastic. She went above and beyond to get my case done. Was there for every question that I had. Not once did she get mean or aggravated with me. (Like some of the other lawyers there did). She made herself available when I needed. I’m so grateful that I had her as my lawyer. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

So I went through the process of applying at what was one of the most vulnerable times in my life after having to file a restraining order going through mental and physical abuse not having a steady income to pay thousands for a lawyer living in a shelter with 2 kids then purchasing a home with the help of my family now having to deal with all the directions my mind was going and trying to find some agreement through the court system that is why these places are created is my understanding to provide aide for people at their most vulnerable and everyone in that office really has no true consideration for that they should tell you off the bat their only form of communication is email i am not an office person im not constantly checking my emails with everything else going on in my life you think there would be a level of courtesy considering the line of work these people are in but no they decided to drop me all together after spending already so much time filling the application sending all my account information time going to meet in person and then when i try to just speak to someone about why i was being dropped maybe some direction in help to move forward they literally refused to speak to me like i was a piece of trash they just threw away didnt care this is were our tax dollars are going to people that i dont see really care i didnt even want to give the one star they dont deserve it!!!

Called here just to get help with seeing my daughter a simple child visitation request these dummies didn’t wanna help if they don’t wanna help with something as this they won’t help you with anything else

How rude , they have no manners. I went in to ask what kind of cases they take, was cut off before I said 2 words. Told we don't take walk ins. Apparently they don't answer questions either. 3 ladies sitting in the office not doing anything. Way to go tax payers. Another program funded by taxes that refuses to help. Just as rude as the next. They sure kick you while you're down.Things have changed. When I used there services about 6 years ago it was so much more professional. You were greeted with a smile. This lady now got something up her back end making her cranky. That's not the way you handle business.

Do not trust anyone to help you. They will more than likely take your money and then give up on you and leave it to their boss to figure out.

Rude, dismissive and apathetic. I am trying to get out of an abusive relationship with my kid and they wanted my wife's pay information which she doesn't share. Their answer was essentially "oh well guess you need a private lawyer"

They called my son for intake and asked for our financial information including both me and my husband, and when I asked why they used my income she stated that he shouldn't have his "mommy" on the call with his attorney and he should be a "big boy." If you are gonna ask for my income then I can listen to what is being said.

I’ll change my rating to 5 stars and leave a wonderful comment after they help resolve my issue…. As of now I won’t explain my experience, I don’t want to deter anyone from using their services because I’m sure they are an excellent help when they are having a good day 🧡…

Sonya the Executive director is the most unprofessional human being. I was referred to their offices due to financial reasons and couldn’t continue with my current lawyer. Just rude and very unprofessional. Regardless of their services it’s not for them to belittle you and down talk to you without knowing the whole situation for what it is again. I’m very aware these are free services but for me to reach out at a time like this is not isn’t for her to make me feel hopeless and helpless because obviously there’s a reason why I reached out them. Just sad!
