I was injured over a year ago and the last law firm I had chosen was doing absolutely nothing for me. I decided that I was going to check around and that is when I found this lawfirm. I am very pleased already and thankful to find people who actually care. I would recommend this group to anyone.

My biggest apologies for writing this review way PAST-OVERDUE!!! My experience from the moment after rhe accident and all thru the entire process was extremely well handled. after my accident. From the moment I called 911Pain/411Pain (cannot remember) the paralegal that answered (if I'm not mistaken it was Andrew) transferred me to Alan one of the laeyers, who handled the call so calmly & professionally & gave me clear steps to follow & also answered all my questions, basically holding my hand & stayed on the line for a good while. I was extremely pleased with the clear communication with the team of lawyers & the supportive staff, they never falsely mislead me & maintained realistic expectations, which I highly value. DTL works with an amazing & very knowledgable group of doctors & therapists (Path Medical - Margate), my medical treatment was beyond my expectations. And I had the pleasure to meet Alan once my case was resolved, and met other supporting staff as well. Thank you all so much, cannot say it enough, for making this a smooth & easy process. THE ALMIGHTY GOD'S BLESSINGS!!

I was referred to Yaffa (Martin Kofsky is a partner there) for a difficult custody case and alimony. I make a good living and there were assets to distribute too. Martin spent the time with me so that i understood the case and my options and fought hard for me. Everyone at the firm was cooperative and cordial and when he could, he got his associates and paralegals involved so that I did not have to pay his rate (its high but there is value there). I spoke to several law firms before hiring Martin and he communicates clearly and was always willing to take my calls when I had a question. I appreciated Martin's professionalism and how he fought for me. He always answered by questions and explained the strategy every step of the way. My divorce was not inexpensive but the value was there.

I had an incredibly negative experience with this firm, even after a personal referral from a family friend. It’s not appropriate to get into many details in this setting, but am happy to discuss live if you are considering working with them (you can find me on Facebook). To be abundantly clear, I regret engaging this firm - they wasted my time and money. Months dragged on, bills went up, partners / associates came onto my case, then disappeared. In summary, their other negative reviews speak loudly and reflect a consistent message. I wish I had been more mindful of those before engaging the firm. I found the team rude, aggressive on billing, unresponsive at times, and inefficient (think internal discussions with multiple team members, 0.1 hr billings, process and more process without any outcomes). I ended the engagement after they outlined a billing strategy for a hearing that seemed beyond aggressive and then proceeded to bill me for their efforts creating the billing strategy…none of which I asked for. If they respond at all - as it seems they do - I could be criticized for not being a lawyer myself and trying to express my non-expert opinions on how I thought the process should be managed. What they seem to forget, is that it’s the client’s family, life and wallet - and they didn’t demonstrate any ability to get a different outcome with said expertise. They may also argue that billing was (1) always attributed to specific tasks on the invoice (this part is true) and (2) that billing concessions were already made…but I just can’t understand how much time / money went into administrative tasks and arguing with their client. At the end, they also elected to draw on a trust account to cover their efforts on the billing strategy (issue mentioned above). I’m sure they are legally allowed to do this as part of the agreement, but commercially, just flagging this is a team that will fight for their last few hundred bucks. I could come off as petty in writing this - and maybe a lack of awareness in criticizing people who know intimate details of my life - but feel an obligation to share my story.
