I met Catharine Favitta in 1976 during college. Catherine stood out to me right away as a very astute, studious and sharp individual with a heightened sense of awareness. She was Top of her class and graduated with honors. Catherine was well raised with roll model parents and had an excellent education. Cathrine is unique in that she thinks of every angle and is very sharp on her feet. Nothing gets left unturned. She is one of the most meticulous hard-working individuals I’ve ever met. I admire her attention to detail and work ethic. Catherine was the first person I thought of when seeking council for a very difficult situation. She made it seamless and with no drama. Very matter of fact and got the job done diligently. I was very grateful for her demeanor and expertise. It put me immediately at ease. She spent as much time as necessary to explain things that I didn’t understand and I appreciate that. She always had an ear to listen when things got bad. When it came time for mediation, I was able to observe her professionalism and ability to make decisions, and interact with all parties involved with ease and grace. Where should I start?! I was referred to Ms. Favitta by my employer for a family emergency that was time sensitive. Long story short, I needed a lawyer to help get my grand daughter, Brooke, back from her father who refused to give her back after a visit. I have never had to retain a lawyer for anything so I was like a deer in headlights. I'm sure I must have had a thousand questions and needed answers quickly. Well, how does same day sound. I contacted Ms. Favitta and vented for awhile about my problems. Not only did she take the time to answer all of my questions, she was very personable. And when I needed to speak with her, she was readily available, even on the weekends. I initially contacted her for a consultation and within an hour, I was sure she was who I wanted. No, she was who I needed. She is knowledgeable and accommodating. She prepared all of the paperwork to the courts and kept me informed all the way through. I spoke with her on a Friday and paperwork was submitted that weekend. Can't get any faster than that. Within 1 week, Ms. Favitta managed to somehow schedule an emergency hearing with a judge and 2 days after that, I had my granddaughter back. I couldn't believe it. I was beyond excited and even more grateful. Ms. Favitta will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart and I will always love her for being such a pleasure to work with. Notice that I didn't mention the cost because the quality of service I received, it was more than worth it. If you ever need a lawyer, I highly recommend Ms. Catherine Favitta. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. FYI: This is Brooke, my grand daughter:) Because of Ms. Favitta, I can enjoy being a grandmother!!

So easy and simple. It was almost too simple that we didn't know to believe the good news when we were approved! The cost was well worth the peace of mind and confidence knowing that we were in good and capable hands. Well worth the cost and honestly was such a stress-free experience.

I first hired Catherine 14 years ago when I initially decided to get a divorce. She patiently listened to my story, giving me sage advice...not only with her legal expertise but also with her heart. I was torn about my decision due to the fact that I have three beautiful daughter who were an intrinsic part of my heartbreaking decision. She spent several hours with me, guiding me through the tearful details of my situation and helping me evaluate my decision. At the conclusion of my consultation, Catherine helped me realize it was not the ideal time to pursue my divorce. Several years later, I was still anguishing about my situation and returned to Catherine for support and advice. She again spent several hours with me discussing my options and the ramifications that would ensue. Once again, I was torn between the need for the divorce and the fear of disrupting my family. My concern for my family again over rode my deep seated need for the divorce. Fast forward approximately three years and my situation at home had worsened to the point that I could no longer bear the circumstances. I returned to Catherine and we again spent several hours evaluating the changes that had occurred. This time I was certain that the timing was correct; my daughters were grown and starting families of their own. After Catherine and I evaluated the details, I was confident in my decision and assured of my ability to handle every aspect of the painful process. Catherine's incredible intellect and intuitiveness guided me exactly where I needed to go...step by painful step. I was surprised at how much resistance we got from my husband and the attorney he hired. There were stall tactics, delays and obstacle that upset me. Catherine kept me apprised and completely informed every step of the way. She continued to provide me with options at each juncture. My case never turned into an ugly litigation mess. I cannot stress enough how comforting and reassuring Catherine made the process. She even honored the rate that she had initially quoted me 14 years ago. When I met with Catherine about my situation, she was kind and considerate, and was able to quickly put me in the right direction. She is fabulous. She is not the type of attorney who is looking to turn things into a circus. She got right down to it and showed the utmost respect for everyone in the case and kept our privacy. I am so happy I met with her.
