I have had the worst experience of humiliation because of Eric Klein as a bankruptcy attorney. I should have reported him to the bar association because his actions were absolutely punishable. I went to him to learn about whether I should file or not and he literally told everyone we knew as we have some mutual acquaintances. Not only would I never use him as an attorney, I highly recommend staying far away from this low life.

If I could give less stars I would. I went for.a consult to file bankruptcy years ago with Eric Klein specifically. I did not move forward with bankruptcy but that didn't stop him from gossiping about me and telling an entire Starbucks crowd about the fact that I was looking to file. Attorney's are supposed to have discretion. He has no moral boundaries or couth.

We met with Mr. Klein initially to discuss our legal issues. After we paid him a $5500 retainer, he immediately pawned us off to another attorney in his firm. Our case dragged out and we asked several times that they stop all actions on our behalf and not do anything to continue to drain our remaining retainer fee funds. 6 months of "file reviews" and "case status" and other unnecessary administrative fees and over $1000 of our remaining retainer money evaporated. When the retainer money was gone we still had not gotten anywhere toward a settlement and I discontinued Mr. Klein's services. He then filed a motion to withdraw from our case and sent me another bill for $495.19. So after taking the $5500, not getting anything done Mr. Klein charges me another $500 to withdraw from my case. And every month I continue to get another bill from the Klein Law Group with the interest adding up. I now "owe" them $553.41 in addition to the $5500 they burned through with no settlement. Divorce lawyers are a dime a dozen - find another one. UPDATE: It's 3 months later and the bills keep coming with the interest charges piling up. One important detail that I left out of the original review is that Mr. Klein never said there would be a bill for filing a Motion to Withdraw AFTER he had already drained the $5500 retainer. Because if I had known there would be a bill after I consented to that I would have never have signed the consent. I talked to a couple of lawyer friends who told me it takes about 90 seconds to write up the motion to withdraw. Lastly, this review has now been seen by over 500 people in the last 3 months. So not only are his business practices deceptive, he doesn't seem to understand basic Marketing 101 that a $500 bill that produces a negative Google review viewed by over 500 people in 3 months might not be the best for his business. Maybe a complaint to the Florida Bar will bring some clarity for him.

I cannot say enough good things about Abigail Cohen as a family law attorney at Klein Law Group. She took on my case after two years and did in 58 days what my last attorney could not do in 18 months. She is compassionate and kind, but also very upfront and gives you the occasional reality check when you need it. After my experience with delayed responses and radio silence from my previous attorney, it was really supportive to get an attorney that responded within 24 hours but usually on the same day. She got me my ideal settlement and made sure I was satisfied before letting me sign. I felt heard and understood but most importantly I felt like I had a voice.
