I contacted Trial Lawyers of the Palm Beaches after two cars collided in front of me and one of them came straight into me at about 45 miles an hour. I knew I was hurt, but I did not know how bad it was. Not only did I get the care I needed- but my goal was to come out of it not owing medical bills. I was stunned at what Samantha was able to do for me. My bills were completely covered and Sam achieved a settlement that was ELEVEN TIMES what the insurance company offered me! Not only were my medical needs addressed, there was plenty of money left over for me in the event future medical needs arise. I was full of fear and anxiety. Sam made the process easy, kept me informed, and achieved a result against a huge insurance company that I thought absolutely impossible. Maybe the lawyers on the billboards and tv are good, too. I felt I would get lost in the shuffle with a massive firm. With the Trial Lawyers, I got an amazing result, with personal, caring attention to my case. Never lost in the shuffle, Sam personally called me to give me updates, see how I was feeling, and let me know what she needed (documents, etc) to win. And win she did. I did not have to pay anything up front. Hiring the wrong lawyer can be a huge mistake. Calling Samantha was one of the best calls I've ever made. I strongly recommend her. She is an excellent personal injury attorney.

Mrs. Vacciana is an amazing lawyer. She and her team were able to help me in my family case and a criminal case that I had. She did everything in her power to make sure that justice was served. Countless days and nights and kept the same upbeat attitude even when I thought the worse. If you want someone in your corner genuinely she’s the one to call.

Samantha's firm, Trial Lawyers of the Palm Beaches, is handling multiple legal matters for me. This review, therefore, is only as to Ms. Vacciana's role in my criminal case, where she played a very crucial role as co-counsel. Facing ten years in prison, and additional related legal matters, I had an extremely complex situation that required knowledge of a variety of areas of the law, including Family Law, negligence, Appeals, and medical malpractice. Successfully representing me in the criminal case required this diverse legal savvy since the issues were interrelated. I was facing ten years in prison and while there was never a prima facie case against me under the statute I was charged, in my opinion, proving that required highly complex discovery, aggressive and unrelenting pursuit of justice on my behalf and exceptional negotiation ability. Adding to the stress of my criminal case, family law matters were occurring in another case that placed my child in danger of great bodily harm. Samantha is a unique attorney in that she has a calming presence and uncanny ability to set realistic expectations for me as a client, while keeping me level-headed in the face of what appeared to be a hopeless and unmitigated disaster. However, her counsel and outcomes achieved proved to be spot-on. Having access to her understanding of the legal system gave me great peace of mind as the legal process took place. Sam's uniqueness is that she is a tremendously calming, caring and compassionate professional who placed her client's interests first. While possessing such compassionate qualities, I witnessed firsthand she is a fiercely aggressive litigator with an innate ability to deliver complex arguments before a court in an easy to understand and concise fashion that prevents crucial issues from being ignored. By my experience in the criminal case (and there are three other cases pending that I will not review until the outcomes are final), the outcome of my life and my child's life could have been catastrophic. I have Attorney Vacciana to thank for preventing that. Facing a maximum criminal sentence of ten years in prison, the plea before I terminated Sam's predecessor was 3 years in prison. Through relentless discovery that helped to exonerate me and expert negotiation ability, Ms. Vacciana played a crucial role in achieving a plea that was a class 2 misdemeanor. In the end, it was time served, no felony conviction, six months of probation, and my right to vote, be a Dad, and be gainfully employed have all been preserved. I thank God that he gave me the wisdom to hire this lawyer and I thank God Sam is in my life. Over the course of my case, it also became very clear that she is highly regarded in the legal community and appears to be very well respected by her colleagues. If my experience with the ethical, dedicated, and aggressive approach to the practice of law is any indication, it comes as no surprise she appears to be so well respected by her colleagues. My case was extremely complex. Whether you are facing a highly complex case such as mine, or a more typical legal matter, I would not hesitate for a second to strongly recommend this principled, compassionate, and aggressive litigator to be your advocate in the Courtroom. Her work is exceptional.

Samantha (Co-counsel), picked up my family law case less than three weeks to the hearing. Samantha and Angie, WON the entire case!!! Samantha's cross defense of the witness on stand was dynamic. OUTSTANDING REPRESENTATION!!!!!! They, explain legal jargon to their clients, maps out the entire case, and prepares their clients for the hearing. These two attorneys needs to be on a board to weed out HORRIBLE attorneys in Palm Beach County. I felt my children future was in the best hands and I could finally sleep at night knowing these attorneys was on the job 24 hours a day. I will be eternally grateful to this two attorneys forever... AMEN!!! Once again thank you, thank you thank you...... Shantey

I was injured over a year ago and the last law firm I had chosen was doing absolutely nothing for me. I decided that I was going to check around and that is when I found this lawfirm. I am very pleased already and thankful to find people who actually care. I would recommend this group to anyone.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Boca Raton, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
