I called because I was really concerned with a situation and they were on it like white on rice! The consultation was free and I had live people the whole time. These people really care about you and educate you on how the mental health system takes advantage of people and does not care about their mental health only the money they get from your insurance. Lord forbid you have good health insurance. BAA educated me on how the system works and it was really nice to get clear answers. I ended up canceling their Services because I was notified that my significant other was being released that same day. BAA refunded every penny which was so considerate of them. If you end up in the same situation like I did, call these people because they are good at what they do and will be so understanding when they do.

We had a loved one held hostage for insurance money at a facility in North Tampa. This team was responsive, professional and effective (on a weekend nonetheless). We very much appreciate how they were able to help us free our loved one. Highly recommend!

Paid $8000.00 to retain services knowing my partner was being baker acted by mistake. By the time initial filing was created with attorney, we had already progressed to completing the release of partner. Attorney was not aware of the release (until I notified that night) and word was sent that the file was being closed with no more services needed - I wanted to sue the hospital that did this- regardless, the attorney sends me a $105 credit to my account stating that since it closed early, and the other was non refundable/non-negotiable that was the extent of the service. A few weeks later, unauthorized by me, I was charged an additional $395 for some unknown reason, and the attorney will not return my inquiry. Now that they have my bank card on file, they pretty much can charge whatever they want without my knowledge. If you can’t trust the attorney ethics in a situation of dire need - who can you trust ? they were quick to interview and get payment, and fix the docs needed to file with county, but county moved person before filed, and refilling was delayed while their contacts in county assured them the patient was not being released, but moved. Next time- if this happens, we will try to rectify ourselves as that 8,000.00 could have hired an attorney to sue hospital for damages and won- now we are feeling taken by both the county, the facility, and our representation that was hired in good faith ethically. There aren’t many baker act attorneys. Must be a reason why. Very unsatisfied customer at this point- with no hint of amicable resolution by attorney office since no return contact has been initiated in almost 7 days of the charge to account.
