I initially called Shamika to schedule a consultation to discuss my child custody situation and difficulties with my ex-spouse. Shamika was professional, kind, personable, and incredibly helpful while she quickly answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction. Very professional and courteous. This firm was hired by the community management that mishandled the notification of pending debt for a recently installed water meter due to a wrong address assigned to the invoices under my name for a townhouse I own (which is currently occupied by a tenant). The community management decided to hire a lawyer (Pilka Adams & Reed) instead of sending me the invoices to my address (even though all other communications from this community management have been received without any problems for the past ten years) . I highly recommend hiring Shamika as your attorney. She assisted my mother with her last will and testament. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. When we had questions regarding the language in the document, she was very responsive and made sure we understood every detail. When my mother passed away, we hired Shamika again to prepare the probate documents. She explained the process to us and was there for us every step of the way. If we had any questions, she was just a phone call away. She was very compassionate and caring and made us feel comfortable during one of the hardest time of our lives. This attorney basically left me flat. I will not use or refer this firm. I mean really, just answer my email with a simple reply. I wasted my time thinking you were going to assist me with my situation. 👎 Now, I need a probate lawyer, and you are not the one. I don’t know where to begin. Words cannot explain how committed she is to her clients. She made me believe again that that ethics and honesty do win. She was my third attorney and my last stitch effort at fighting for my son in a six year divorce. The other two attorneys couldn’t bring my divorce to a close for reasons that I could not understand. Shamika came into my divorce in the last year and a half and we finally had our trial a couple of days ago. I don’t have my results yet but in my six years, I have never walked out of a court room so confident until I hired Shamika. I will never forget how she fought for me for 8 hours straight and didn’t allow the other side to come up for air. The other thing that is great about her is that she read all of the transcripts from the previous years to get to know my case. She also made me not fear being honest unlike the other attorneys who would make me feel like I was going to lose my son. I’m not a criminal and I don’t even have points on my driving record so why are these attorneys telling me this? That is because they did not want to put in the work the way that Shamika did. She does everything herself and doesn’t have you talking to her assistant. I am in awe and in shock. She gave me what I have been trying to get for the past 6 years. She also undid what my previous attorneys did. She really likes to fight and produce results for her clients. I will never forget what she did for me. I will never forget her tenacity and her attention to detail. You will not find a better attorney, I promise you.
