I came to attorney Powers with legal issues on a complex matter. He was able to work out everthing professionally and quickly so I could get back to business . In my book he is the best attorney in South Florida . Price was super reasonable and fair. I highly recommend giving him a call on any of your legal needs and disputes. We had a very eventful introduction to Florida, as two weeks after moving to Naples, Hurricane Irma arrived. Damage to our house was typical for the neighborhood, which included uplifted and fractured tiles leading to water leakage, wooden floor damage from water leakage and one shattered window despite protection from an exterior metal shutter. When we contacted our insurance company, we were told there was virtually no damage. This was a new experience for us and we didn’t know what would be the best approach of action. After talking with several construction companies, who offered to help us, we signed up with one of them. That company promised to replace the roof, repair the damage to the interior of the house and paint the exterior of the house. However, the process did not proceed smoothly, as the pandemic had caused a logjam in the court system and the courts changed the protocol for addressing disputes between homeowners and their insurance companies. Finally, an equitable settlement was reached with the insurance company. However, it was soon obvious that a conflict was developing between us and the construction company, who were backing out of their original promises. Moreover, we became aware of past complaints against the work of the construction company. In the process of seeking a litigation attorney to help with conflict, we became aware of the excellent work of Mr. Powers. During our exploratory meeting with him, he clarified the meaning of the AOB contract we had signed. However, he raised the possibility that during negotiations the company might be willing to terminate the contract. He agreed to draft a letter to support our aims. The tone of the letter was outstanding, covering all the points we had raised. In addition, it provided a solution to the conflict. which would avoid a lawsuit. The response of the company to the letter was positive and led to a resolution of the conflict. Mr. Powers is a soft spoken, knowledgeable, kind, reasonable, intelligent and an extremely effective attorney. We recommend him to any person who has a problem related to real estate.
